When I entered the restaurant there some people dining in and others waiting for their orders. The chicken duo deal $16.99 is an online only deal. The cashier was trying to ring in my order but didn't realize it's an online offer. The food prep staff told me to order online. The online order process is pretty easy to use and you can customize your wrap and bowl. The Queen wrap comes with pickles, garlic sauce and pomegranate molasses. You have the option to choose your own toppings up to 3 choices. The Queen regular bowl has similar toppings and it's served on top of rice. The food was pretty good but I would say the chicken portions left more to be desired. The only downside here is that restaurant was understaffed and I waited about 30 minutes for my order. There was a couple in front of me. I looked at the menu to see what I wanted. I saw chicken shawarma salad. Perfect! The woman taking my order was so sweet and nice. She asked me if I wanted any sauces. I went with tahini and garlic sauce. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I got my receipt and joined others waiting for their food. I saw a man slice the chicken shawarma that would comprise my salad. I saw another man putting my salad together. Watching my food being prepared was wonderful. It also made me hungry. My order was ready. The woman asked me whether I was dining in or doing takeout. It was the latter. She put my container of happiness in a clear plastic bag, with a fork and napkins. I thanked her. What's special about this place is that all three staffers said thanks and hoped that I'd enjoy my food. i liked that nice touch. I put my food in an insulated bag and drove home. I then had dinner. The butter chicken is not the regular yogurty creamy tomatoey sauce that you might be use to. This is more herbs and spices and a bit stronger in flavor but that's what I love about it. The chicken is always tender and he puts it over a bed of biryani rice that's also been cooking in a lot of delicious flavor packed herbs. It's literally a flavor explosion. My husband's falafel contained a variety of vegetables, and the wrap was toasted to crispy perfection. My son ordered the smoky chicken shawarma, which comes in a smoky, spicy wrap. He said that it was delicious, and unlike any other he's tried with its savory, smoky flavor. My daughter and I each ordered the Aleppo Kebab plate with rice. What a lot of food!! The hummus was so garlicky and well-seasoned, not the bland, pasty stuff that one sometimes encounters. The toum (garlic sauce) was a splendid accompaniment to the smoky beef. I really enjoyed my spicy bread (a flatbread that is dipped in some kind of sauce and then fried, I think). My spice-averse daughter was able to order regular flatbread. The Aleppo Kebab itself was quite mildly and subtly spiced, very flavorful, and exuded the smoky aromas of the grill. The rice, as it is in most middle and near Eastern restaurants, was superb, and flavoured with tumeric. It was a lot of food, and I have enough left over for lunch tomorrow. If you order the platters, I recommend That you order some extra bread to dip into the sauces. They offer a lot of sauce with these platters, all on the side in separate compartments of the take-out container. We were there for take-out, but it is a nice, family oriented atmosphere. The counter was busy all the time, with multiple people coming in for pick up orders. Despite that, the friendly staff takes the time to describe the food choice and make recommendations for future visits. And there will be future visits, at least by me! The parking lot is busy at certain areas, but there is plenty of parking just beyond the restaurant. I ordered these items: - Chicken shawarma on rice - Potato bolani I got an estimate of fifteen minutes for my order to be ready. It was enough time to finish the rest of my Diet Coke at Perkins, visit the washroom, take a few photos, and leave to head over to pick up my takeout order. This eatery is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. The businesses are mixed. It's a combination of food and car businesses. I backed into a parking spot. I went into the eatery a couple of minutes after the estimated time that my food would be ready. There was a customer waiting in the dining area. There were a few tables and seats if you wanted to eat in. I got a friendly woman at the counter who asked if I had an Uber Eats order. I did and stated my name. She let me know that the other woman behind her was making my bolani and my order would need five more minutes. I let both of them know to take their time. I took photos. It worked out perfectly. The first woman asked if I wanted napkins and cutlery. I said yes. She put everything in a plastic bag and handed it over to me. I thanked her and wished them both a great day. I walked out of the eatery with my food and drove home. Let's start with the chicken shawarma on rice. I got to select up to three sauces. I went with garlic sauce, hummus, and tahini. This place is generous with the portion size. I got a lot of rice, chicken, and all three sauces in my container. The sauces were excellent. They were so good with the fluffy rice and tender, juicy chicken morsels. I couldn't finish it in one sitting, so I have another meal tomorrow. I love any flatbread with potato stuffed inside. The potato bolani was excellent. I got five generous pieces in my container. Each had the most flavourful potato stuffing inside the bread. It's an Afghani speciality. It came with a chutney that was yummy. I didn't get the green chutney that was supposed to come with it. That's okay. I was happy with the white sauce that was garlicky and flavourful. It paired well with the bolani. This place is such a gem. I look forward to returning to try more items on the menu. This place has biriyani that I'd like to get next. (404)
