I was very scared but the doctor assured me it will be fine and he won't make me feel the pain and sure he was saying the truth. It was quick and painless! One of my co- work owes had same procedure on the same day but different office, hers was painful all day and took longer than mine. That made me feel happy. The team at Bay Pointe squeezed me into their schedule and was prepared to do an emergency root canal. Upon a very thorough investigation, it was determined a crack in my molar was the issue. (the use of a special dye made it visible) After sharing with me that a root canal would not solve my problem, they contacted a highly rated oral surgeon and made an appointment on my behalf (again, getting me 'squeezed into' a schedule). He performed the procedures without a total anesthetic, a terrible experience on the chair, extremely traumatic. His assessment of the X-ray was totally wrong. As soon as the antibiotic pills were finished the infection showed up, an immediate pain. The fact that his diagnostic of two expensive x-rays he took was a guess, not an educated guess. Feeling his hands and other nurses in the room, over my mouth, during the surgery, was torture, even though there was very little pain; he kept adding local anesthetic shots, but it was just a very traumatized procedure from where I was sitting. The entire episode cost was too high for what he did, and the failed result ended up a disaster for me who had to go to another endodontist to remove the entire tooth. my advice: examine every sentence in the initial assessment and procedure before you sign in. Look for a second opinion. do not go through this procedure with a local anesthetic, no matter how much this doctor convinces you about an easy procedure that would be. He is far too expensive for what he does. I got a far cheaper cost for redoing what Dr Shallal could not take care of, the infection, and ended up removing the entire tooth. finally, find someone else, and get a total anesthetic. Listen to your guts and feelings, when you meet DR. Shallal. He is unsure of himself, lacks confidence in his own words, and is uncertain of his own decision as to how to proceed. if you have prior torture experiences, have money, and don't care about your tooth, then this is your guy, take a seat and good luck.

Dr Healy was amazing. He was very confident that he would not only take away my pain but make sure the procedure was painless as well. There were some rough spots but it was to be expected. I was in bad shape to begin with. I'm glad I made the decision to see him and he even called me the next day to see how I was doing and to remind me to make sure I take ibuprofen and my penicillin around the clock. The work was quick, excellent and priced fair. What I really liked were how nice the people were! Every single person that you have to interact with were kind, knowledgeable and understanding. The actual office environment is very inviting & bright with books and artifacts to put you at ease. I found the music to be a bit loud in the waiting room but I'm sure if I said something they would have toned it down. Then they did all kinds of procedures that I didn't approve of - thousands of dollars of work was recommended. I told them I didn't approve any of these procedures done. I was given a credit and later had a tooth filled and a different tooth pulled. So the credit I had was used up. I went to a new Dentist this week they did X-rays etc and found two teeth that need to be removed and recommended another Dental Surgeon which I met with today. The charges for the two teeth is going to be less than I paid for one with McKinley. So in closing - the prices of McKinley is way to high and appear to only want to do expensive procedures. Very disappointing. I will say this the Dentist did do a good job as far as the removal of the tooth. Unfortunately the tooth she filled is now one of the teeth that will have to be pulled so I wasted a lot of money having it filled.
