From the moment I heard Santana's voice on the phone, I just had a feeling that it would be a great…read morepartnership and she would make an excellent DJ for my wedding. My mother had found Santana and noted how many accolades she had received from various organizations such as Wedding Wire (Bride's Choice for several years in a row). We chatted on the phone for about an hour prior to our face to face meeting and I felt at ease that she knew exactly what type of music I wanted as well as what would work for the guests. Santana is quick to tell you she doesn't do cookie cutter weddings, and that's exactly right. She listens to each client's needs, wants, visions of what their big day will be like and she compliments that with her skill, professionalism, and innate musical talent as a DJ. We discussed the break down of the guests, would it be mostly friends or family or a combination of both? She inquired what year I graduated college to know the popular music from that time, and also knew the age range of the adults in my family to know what music would get them moving on the dance floor too. Her website is user friendly and very helpful in the planning process. Clients are able to log in, create a play list of 'must play', 'play if possible', and 'do not play'. Santana made sure and discuss what was on my 'do not play' list which was rather vast and in the end I ended up compromising and trusting her on several songs because they are such crowd pleasers. She was right, and the crowd loved all of her choices on the set list. Santana is so prepared it makes even the most organized person do a double take. She thinks of everything, so that when she's working if there is a snafu, she's in control and the guests don't even know anything went wrong. I know the guests loved the music because pretty much all 200 of them spent the majority of the time dancing the whole night. A rowdy fireman friend of my husband's extended the party and Santana obliged, extending her contract by an extra two hours! I think they would have kept extending it all night if we'd let them. I can't recommend Santana enough. She's a world traveling, vibrant individual and our wedding was so fun that the guests didn't want to leave. While I'd like to claim credit for having the best friends and family, I also know that the music/entertainment portion at a wedding is truly key. Booze and music is what makes or breaks a wedding and I can safely say that Santana made ours memorable and a blast. If you want top notch service and to have your guests talking for years to come about what a fun wedding you had, Santana Entertainment is the company for you!

Last weekend Lasting Impressions were hired to shuttle family and friends for my sisters wedding…read more They were paid $1400 for a simple pick up and drop off service from a nearby hotel, to and from the venue of the wedding ceremony/reception. Lasting Impressions were scheduled to pickup guest at the hotel, drop them off at the venue before the ceremony/reception. Then, take the guests back to the hotel when the reception was done. They were scheduled that night (after the reception) from 9:30pm until 11pm and were hired for two trips back to the hotel after the reception. The drive time from the hotel to the venue was approximately 30 minutes. Both the owner and driver were made clear of this, and the driver even accepted more money the day of, to confirm the extend time for the second trip back. That night, the first shuttle back was at 9:30pm to the hotel, and went smooth. And after talking to the guests that were on the shuttle, there were no delays or problems, and made it back to the hotel within reasonable time. But when it came to taking the second shuttle... Well there was none. The driver never came back for the Bride, Groom, or Bridal Party. We were left stranded at the venue. Of course we were respectful and just assumed the driver was running a little behind. But when it came to almost an hour later... We knew we weren't getting picked up. I personally called the driver and was given the news that, he was scheduled til 11pm, and since he didn't think he could pick us up from the venue and bring us back in time, he decided to call it a night... No call to the owner. No call to venue. No call to the Bride and Groom. When I questioned the 30 minute drive time, instead of accepting responsibility and apologizing, he replied with, "have you drove a shuttle on these roads?" I thought that was a very unprofessional and immature response. But when I responded with the point that we paid them extra for extended time for the second shuttle, and had to argue on the phone for 10 more minutes, the driver finally said he would come. But over an hour had past already, and we couldn't leave the Bride and Groom strained anymore. We found our own way home. After reaching out to the owner and filing a complaint. They gave the Bride and Groom a $150 refund... Out of the $1400 they paid, they were only compensated $150... Absolutely ridiculous. A wedding day is special. And mistakes can be made. But when it's a business that was paid for a service. That service should be provided. And if that service isn't provided, the business should accept responsibility and refund the appropriate money. It wasn't just money wasted, but valuable time on an important day.

From our very first inquiry she responded promptly and offered flexible options. Upon arriving at the studio, we were greeted upon entry and made to feel very welcome. The studio itself is gorgeous and set up perfectly for the newborn specialty. She keeps the studio comfortably warm and dim for the babies, and has a variety of well maintained, clean, professional props and accessories. Everything was readily prepared upon our arrival and all we needed to do was sit back, relax, and watch the pro work! We were amazed at her ability to dress and pose our newborn in various styles that suited our tastes. She manipulated our daughter so gently and was able to change her into maybe 7 different outfits and poses without even waking her! Carrie is truly a baby whisperer and we felt our baby was safe, secure, and happy while in her care during the shoot. Upon completion of the session, we received photo proofs the same day! The rapid turn around was much appreciated and we were able to easily select our favorites that we wished to purchase using her online platform. Once selected, she was able to promptly invoice us for our chosen images. All the pictures came out fantastic and it was hard to choose! We highly recommend Carrie at Smiling Fox for newborn photography. Her professionalism, passion, and skill is unparalleled, and her value for infant safety, quality photography, and client satisfaction is outstanding!
