Garlic Bread with Marinara Sauce for dipping.
    Tate V.

Napolis Italian Bistry 11-24-24 Had lunch with my grandson. Restaurant is nice a with plenty of room. Staff are friendly and efficient. We started off with complementary Garlic Bread which was hot and delicious! We ordered appetizers and they came out fast. We had: Meatball Casserole with Marinara Sauce and Grated Mozzarella. Garlic Bread with Marinara Sauce for dipping. Both were served hot and fresh. We had a 16" Cheese Pizza with Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni, Sausage, and Black Olives. Was hot and delicious! Had a great Cheese Pull! We also had the Pasta Combo - Stuffed Shell, Manicotti, and Lasagna. The lasagna was good and flavorful. The other pastas were good but needed a little more flavor. Overall, our lunch was very enjoyable. We will be back and try other dishes.

    Eggplant parmigiana on Spaghetti Marinara

The ambience is casual and booth or table seating is available. Parking can be tight unless you are willing to walk a ways. The service was prompt. Polite and not over the top. I got the eggplant parm. It was very different from any I have ever had. No breading. It was eggplant sliced very thin on top of spaghetti and marinara sauce. Lots of cheese. It was really different and very good. The water tasted really bed (Belton water) it should be filtered or in some water "fixed". The price was reasonable.

Our receipt which they charged more for than on their website

*Watch what you are charged* I'll start off by saying the food is pretty darn good. The first few times we went, we enjoyed ourselves. We ordered pickup today and I'm definitely irritated with a few things. I called in and placed my order, the young man was very friendly. I was looking on Napoli's own website at their menu and prices and ordered manicotti & fettuccine. When my husband returned, he handed me the receipt which showed a higher price than it should've been going by their own website. I called in to ask and the employee said they haven't updated their site in quite a while. Aside from being up charged on two items, I was extremely disappointed to open my container and see the 4 extremely tiny manicotti's sitting there. It wasn't worth the money unfortunately. We were also charged for using our card which stinks. This is a cute little place and I've told so many people about how we enjoy it here, but we may be rethinking returning in the future :(

This pizza was so good! . Can't wait to go back !

Lobster Ravioli was delicious. Rich sauce and ravioli was hand made.

We were in downtown Belton and stopped on because of the positive reputation in the community. The service was super nice and the chef told us how items were handmade. The Risotto ai Funghi was the rock star of the evening. Rich and creamy and perfectly prepared. Lobster ravioli was the pleasing bit we might get something different next time. The food was served with warm garlic bread and it was all wonderful. We enjoyed our relaxing time here and enjoyed it quite a bit.

The veal patty, not a real piece of veal and dry spaghetti.

I thought that having a nice Italian meal would be a good idea, even though I have had a great time when they first opened, and it eventually became not so good as the years rolled on. One more chance I thougt...one more chance. Well, the place was packed, and I expected it to take some time, but over 10 minutes to be acknowledged by staff when entering, then having no one come over to ask for drinks for another 10 minutes, then the person never came back, then 10 more minutes and another staff member finally came to ask for drinks. It then took 10 more minutes to get them, and we finally ordered our food. All this time, another member of staff was serving the table in front of us and was the original server that never came back with our drinks. I asked repeatedly for the rolls that come with the meal and they showed up after we received our appetizer. The appetizer was good, the rolls when they finally appeared were also tasty, and then we got the soup we ordered, and no spoons. When our mains came 10 minutes later, we had to ask for the spoons and after another long wait, we received them...iced tea spoons, not soup spoons. My main was supposed to be veal, usually I have received a piece of veal, not a processed veal patty and spaghetti that looked like it was sitting under a heat lamp for a while before being served to me. The booths are not anchored down, so the people behind me who had no control of their child, spilled a soda all over their table and floor, and ended up pushing their seat back pushing me into my table. My experience there took almost two hours, far too long. All-in-all, never will go back.....nope, never again.

I have been driving by this place for MONTHS after a tornado ripped thru this part of Temple. After…read morerefurbishing I heard they changed it up a bit so I suggested to the hubs that we try them out for date night - and MAN were we Supremely happy we did!! This little place is completely redone inside to look like a high class bar and dinner venue!! We stared w the Ahi Tuna Crudo - super fresh Ahi tuna beautifully presented with a surprising and refreshing arrangement of pickled celery, and sweet Italian peppers, served over a delicate avocado puree and tiny dots of citrus ponzu. The plate was Beautiful! Our next adventure; lightly charred pieces of octopus atop slightly pureed cannelloni beans. Now this is an unlikely and unusual pairing, but it WORKS!! SPLENDIDLY!! And again, the presentation is beautiful Generous portions of octopus with a char that gives it a slight smokiness and perfectly cooked to make for a tender bite and with the puree? Not since Italy have we been so amazed!! The saltiness with hints of chilis in the background, the texture of the beans, the slight chew and smoothness of the octopus; an elevated flavor combo that knocks it out the Park! As we wait for our main courses the restaurant fills with patrons and I'm gazing around, noting the Huge pizza oven. It's rustic and beautifully made; tiny tiles overlaying its upper surface making for a gorgeous and impressive visual in the midst of the bustling kitchen. I love that it is used as a WALL of sorts on its outer edge. I also love that one has a view of the kitchen via a smallish viewing glass next to the oven. Another site is the bar! Now mind you. This is TEMPLE. But this bar, and really the entire inside of this establishment is something you'd expect to see in the bigger cities like Austin or Dallas!! It's Truly a class act!! White linen clad tables, servers dressed black and white, beautiful decor. Not something you would expect in this area!! Our awesome server Austin takes excellent care of us; taking the time to stop in often to chat and share with us his wanderings, life experiences, and Menu Expertise!! We love the interaction! And then Austin brings out our MAINS!! And OH MAN GUYS.... First up is the Osso Bucco. I've had Osso Bucco in many places; I've MADE Osso Bucco. This is PERFECTION. Not too much demi which is almost ALWAYS the case, in stead of Drowning in the sauce this dish gives just enough so that you can scoop up perfect bites of light and creamy polenta. Not a trace of its gritty source this polenta is airy and buttery smooth promoting mere corn to another level altogether. The Real Star here tho is the Veal Shank. We are presented with lavish portion - the shank bone is served with a tiny bone fork alongside; given to scoop out the unctuous velvety richness that is the inner MARROW!!! And when I say wow? I mean WOWWWWWWW The flavor of the shank is a consume of beefy richness with hints of herbs As much as I LOVE LOVE LOVED the veal tho? The homemade pasta stole it for me honestly. Now, my hubs and I are blessed enough to go to Italy a couple times a year, and we have YET to taste pasta like this!! La Riv makes their own pasta in house and GUYSSSSSSSS we tried the Pappardelle with beef rib; Gorgeous braised beef chunks swimming in a delicate jus and herb ricotta to mix in. The beef is melt in your mouth tender while the Pappardelle has a slight bite telling you it is FRESH!! I LOVE the texture of this pasta. It is my favorite of the pasta cuts and I just could not get enough!!! But I had to hold myself back so I wouldn't eat ALL of hubs dish!! We absolutely Love this little Gem on W Adams in Temple. It's unassuming but I Guarantee will knock your socks off!! The staff are wonderful, and your taste buds will be treated to a Real Italian Flavor Adventure!!

The food was fabulous. Highly recommend the ravioli which is made fresh in house. We added salmon to the ravioli order. Salmon was a nice thick cut and not overcooked. Polenta was creamy and savory. The pizza is rustic style and such a treat. I was surprised the Caesar salad didn't come with anchovies as most upscale restaurants serve it like this. I did not care for the spice on the broccolini - I was not expecting it. The broccolini has a beautiful smoky charred flavor with pine nuts and they put some sort of spicy chili oil on it that I found distracting. Great wine list and cocktails but I wish they could expand their wine by the glass menu. Hopefully they offer a rotating seasonal menu because it seems they keep the menu pretty tight, which is ok with me as long as they change it up a couple times a year.

We started with the pan-roasted romanesco, which was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The bread service with compound butter was a standout on its own: simple, but done at such a high level that it set the tone for the entire meal. We grabbed seats at the bar, which ended up being a great move. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, and we enjoyed several glasses from their excellent wine selection. Our bar tender was knowledgeable, welcoming, and she made the whole experience feel elevated without being pretentious. For entrees, my wife ordered the chicken and fries, crispy, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. I went with Blaine's burger, and I don't say this lightly: it's hands down one of the top three burgers of my life. Perfectly cooked, beautifully balanced, and unforgettable. Blaine's is doing something special. If you're in Waco and looking for a place that nails both food and experience, this is it. We'll be back soon.

Presentation of the dishes was attractive and thoughtful, and we were pleased with our wine selections. We started by sharing the poblano corn chowder. Unfortunately, the dominant impression was salt. The soup was more of a brown, creamy sauce with chicken and corn than the aromatic, herb-forward poblano chowder I was expecting. Beyond the saltiness, there wasn't much depth or complexity of flavor. For entrées, we ordered the steak and the ahi tuna tomahawk. Both were visually impressive, but once again the overwhelming characteristic was salt. The tuna may have had a hint of tarragon, but it was difficult to appreciate much else. The steak was exceedingly salty--surprisingly so, even for someone who is not shy about using salt. Service was courteous but somewhat inattentive and slower than expected. At this price point, I would have hoped for more attentive service and a broader range of flavors rather than repeated assaults on the sodium receptors. One final curiosity: water was served in what appeared to be small jelly jars, which felt a bit odd given the otherwise upscale presentation. Overall, Blaine's gets good marks for ambiance, presentation, wine, and especially the live music. Unfortunately, the kitchen's heavy-handed use of salt overshadowed much of the meal. With more restraint in seasoning and a bit more attention to service, this could be an exceptional dining experience.
