Went to an appointment with my wife for hip replacement. First this Goldberg is a snake oil salesman. The concierge service he tries his best to sell you presented in a way that would mimmic a used car salesman's pitch on a junk yard dud. He brings this up at the last part of your appointment and as soon as you tell him NO just the minimum he jumps up and takes off sending in someone else to finish up. Then the "scheduler" calls you and tells you that the next surgery appointment is 10 months out. And then here we go again.. They ask "well were you not told about the concierge service?" I told that person to take a hike. You have a choice for "expedited" surgery for either $7795.00 or $15995.00. This Goldberg is full of himself. You are left feeling lied to and taken advantage of after the appointment. Find another surgeon!!!! Save yourself the exposure to this ridiculous behavior and a waste of good time. Not to mention the waste of good oxygen. It took all of 5 minutes to find a very qualified surgeon that does the exact same thing and is a teaching surgeon as well. read more

I had my knee replacement surgery in January 2026. My Physical Therapists were amazed how quickly I have progressed. I know this had to be because of Dr. Goldberg's skill. I received a packet of instructions with everything from a prescription for a temporary parking placard to a notice to my dentist for the need of an antibiotic before service. Any time I had a question or need, his office immediately responded to my call. Dr. Goldberg made all of the arrangements right down to home physical therapy. It was a very smooth experience. Knee replacement that left me with drop foot and unable to walk. Took the concierge service for $5000 and only thing I got was a couple of orders of pain pills and a text letting me know he was climbing a mountain in some other country while I cannot walk anymore. Please consider someone else. Goldberg is an arrogant man with dubious skills. Within the small orbit of people I know who have had hip or knee replacements , he has botched four that I know of, including mine. His "minimally invasive" procedure is risky. I recommend Kevin Bosic and his colleagues at UT-Dell Medical, who did my hip revision after Goldberg's mess up. I have a friend who went through three flawed surgeries with him and finally left him for a competent surgeon after more than a year of pain and immobility. read more

I regret going to Dr Goldberg. I was able to walk before my knee replacement and now I have to use a walker or use a painful brace. I also regret paying for the concierge with Dr Goldberg. definitely not worth the excessive amount and since the outcome is so bad I asked to get my money back and never heard back. I need that money now because I have to have someone take care of my house and yard which I was able to do before the surgery. also I have to buy special shoes for the brace and of course my walker. I will never be able to wear the shoes I had ever again. The doctor doesn seem to care. read more

I was having an issue with one of my knees and a good friend told me I should check out Dr. Goldberg. He indicated that Dr. Goldberg had performed a knee replacement on him earlier in the year and he felt great! He said that he did some digging around and had three unrelated people recommend Dr. Goldberg. Upon his recommendation, I set an appointment to see Dr. Goldberg about my knee. While there, I mentioned that my groin had been bothering me, and because of that, they decided to Xray not only my knees, but my hips. After the X-rays, Dr. Goldberg entered the waiting room and immediately I liked him. And after getting to know him better, I would describe him as a rare combination of Type A intensity with a compassionate demeanor. He started our conversation by talking about my knee and how it was arthritic and how it would probably need to be replaced in the future, but then he shifted to my right hip. He asked me if it had been bothering me, and I said my groin had been hurting for a while. Apparently, that can be a sign of a bad hip, and unbeknownst to me, it was bone on bone. After I picked myself up off the floor, I said "What do your patients say after having a hip replacement?" He said, two words, "Life changing." Three months later, I had successful hip replacement surgery. Today's appointment with Dr. Goldberg was 6 weeks removed. We once again they took X-rays, and the results were outstanding! He said it was as good as we could hope for, exceptional. To say the least, I was thrilled with my results as I could barely walk before the surgery. Now, I am walking without any limp or any pain whatsoever. The experience has been as Dr. Goldberg described, life changing. I went to see this doctor for pain in my hip, a possible hip replacement as I've been told by two previous docs. I have an autoimmune disease and without looking at my chart this man told me I didn't have what TWO rheumatologists and a blood test told me eight years ago what I had. He then glared at me and asked "what do you want me to do?" I've been to Dr. Westmoreland, Dr Smoot and Dr James Smith at this facility and never was treated with such disregard. He then ordered diagnostic testing I have already had performed for no reason. I'm not letting this man touch me, his bedside manner is atrocious and he really has no business in patient care. Now I will find a hip doctor from another facility and start over. Couldn't be more disappointed in Dr. Goldberg. read more

This doctor is so undependable as to be disrespectful. I had 2 appointments to see him. He canceled the first one saying he's out of the office. (Why then make the appointment). The second appointment, I took time away to travel to his office, and after sitting in the waiting area for more than 30 mins after checking in and paying the $40,, I was told he was called away. I will not be visiting him or any of the doctors at TX Orthopedics due to the very real possibility that this sort of unprofessional nonsense would be normal for their practice. Shameful, and costly, for getting nothing but delayed unprofessional treatment to this potential patient. read more

What a great orthopedic surgeon! I am a happy camper. Just six weeks ago I had to stand still before walking so the hip would go back into place.......don't ask about trying to get off of a toilet??? Yes, that was a big problem, but now I am a new women. He was fantastic, as a matter of fact his whole complete office is fantastic. The pain, almost none, the incision.....you really have to look for it. Have been walking pain free since I received the new hip the beginning of June. Oh and getting off the toilet, yes pain free. I started seeing Dr. Goldberg for pain in my knees over 15 years ago. He was really great, i would get injections in my knees for the pain which really helped. He did tell me though that the day would come when the shots no longer worked and that would be when I needed surgery. That day came in 2019 and I had my right knee replaced. Recovery was a little slow but uneventful. When I was ready for my left knee, it had to be delayed due to Covid. I had my left knee done in June 2020. Can I just say it was amazing? I healed faster, my range of motion returned faster and I was able to really get around much faster. Dr Goldberg was amazed, I was amazed. He told me that during the Covid shut down he had gone to California to study with another doctor and had learned a new technique for knee surgery and I was the first patient he had used it on. It was a HUGE success. He even took a video of my amazing ROM at my first post-op visit. I was so glad that as a doctor he took the time to continue his professional education during such a stressful time. It led to a great surgical outcome for me. Being a great doctor isn't just about your patients, although that is most of it. Dr. Goldberg is a genius and I'm delighted my knee replacement occurred in ATX rather than HOU as previously scheduled. At my first visit, Goldberg was not pushy w/surgery stating it needed to be my choice. The "chicken" in me decided on steroid shots that I have tried 3 times previously over the years. When you choose this option, you cannot immediately have the operation so more pain forced me to begin preparing for this major procedure. I'm now 6 weeks out and amazed at the ease of walking the first day in hospital and my pain level was reduced immediately. This surgeon uses techniques quite different from other doctors that produced outstanding results. As to bedside manners and personal contact, I felt all my questions were answered in the helpful patient portal, PA Stephen, and Dr. Goldberg. He wrote orders for PT and doing the exercises afterwards makes a huge difference. No pain...no gain. read more

Dr Goldberg has performed total knee replacement surgery on both of my knees separated by one year. I had an excellent outcome on both and now walk without pain. I found the practice to be professional and courteous. Dr Goldberg is a fabulous surgeon in my book. My life is much improved. read more

This guy is a crook. Besides giving me a completely wrong diagnosis that actually made my arm problem worse (which was thankfully fixed by a competent doctor that I saw later), the guy tried to extort money from me. They double charged me for appointments, and refused to remove the extra charge, despite showing them credit card receipts. When I refused to pay, they said it would be Dr. Goldberg's decision as to whether or not my "bill" would be sent to a collection agency. A couple of weeks later, I get a bill from said collection agency. Unless you like being charged extra for sub par healthcare, avoid this guy like the plague. I got a bad feeling from him the first time I saw him, and my instincts turned out to be correct. I'm also thinking about filing a malpractice suit. read more
