I'm back! I use to frequent this location when I lived in Tyson's Corner for 7 years. I moved to DC in 2021 and had the most difficult time finding a reputable, dry cleaner. I had designer shirts destroyed. How hard can be to dry clean clothes?!? I can always trust Tyson's Plaza to care for my clothes. My items return back looking better than I left them. Very terrible experience. I took my $300 pink dress here to remove a brown makeup stain. I got it back and the dress has a black tint all over it and black stains at the neckline. They claimed it's because of the dress material but the dress has been hand washed many times before and this has never happened. They said they could only give me 10% off after staining my dress to the point of it being unwearable. I'm very disappointed and upset and I will never EVER be coming back here. Not to mention they didn't even get the original stain out and STILL made me pay. read more

I used to come to this location often for dry cleaning but their staff, prices, and quality of service changed this year and it's not at the level it was before. What was unique about this place was that they were up front with prices at the time you drop off items, and they had the 3 for the price of 2 deal on Saturdays. But that's not enough given the quality of service has changed. I might come here for quick dry cleaning for items I'm not too worried about, but if I've got something more complex like unique clothes or alterations I'll probably be going elsewhere. read more

Didn't think I'd ever have the need to post about a dry cleaners but I felt like I should after the great work done at this place. I brought in a bunch of nice brooks brothers suits that couldn't have fit me worse. Brooks brothers said they needed too much work and couldn't take the chance of working on them in case they got messed up. I really liked the fabric so I decided to take a chance and see if this place could do anything. Expecting them to be ruined because of the amount of work that needed to be done, I was completely surprised when I got them back. They look hand tailored and couldn't be better. I think the place charged a decent amount but it was well worth every penny. This place should be highly considered by anyone around needing substantial alterations. I'm am just so impressed by what she did for me. Can't thank her enough. read more

Horrible customer service. Don't waste your time coming here. I brought a comforter in and they refused to take it because there was too much dog hair on it. They wanted me to take it to a laundromat and wash it a few times before bringing it back. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that is what they do Would not recommend. read more

How this place escaped a review from me is beyond me - I've been going here for well over a year. The ladies are friendly and if you need something in a rush, they're usually willing to accommodate it. The best thing about the place is that you can get a drop 2, get one free on everything but shirts on Saturdays. The one tip is that because of the other businesses, you have to try to park on the curb in front of the business. Just flash the blinkers, run in, and run out. read more

This is a review for Tysons Cleaners in Pike 7 Plaza next to My Eye Dr in Vienna Va. They used to charge 8.50 a suit. Now they charge 13.50. 3 piece suits are 18.75. I brought in several suits and a formal dress shirt. Paid almost $50. I came to pick up and my dress shirt was badly wrinkled. I requested it to be pressed again. The lady who seemed like the owner took it back to press it right away. She came back and a button fell off the shirt. I came back the following day NYE and the shirt again was poorly pressed and full of wrinkles. More wrinkles than I originally had when I brought it in. I noticed the button was repaired but there was a chip in it. She tried to tell me it was part of the button. She said she would reimburse me. I came back tonight to find a badly pressed shirt. All my buttons were intact. I was ready to take my shirt when she asks for 4.95. I've had issues with my dry cleaning before but first time I've been up charged for their mistake. I doubt I will return anytime soon. read more

Awful. Just awful. I took a pair of brand new pants to this place to get altered. I intended to wear them for an occasion and asked several times if they would be ready on time because (obviously) it was important that they would be. I was assured by the women they would be ready. So I'm leaving town this morning and drop by to pick up my pants. When I give the lady my ticket, her and two other women begin this mad scramble to try and find them. They're looking everywhere. After about fifteen minutes, they look in a mangled pile of clothes. Low and behold, there are my brand new pants, still unaltered, except now they're wrinkled as s-%* from sitting at the bottom of this pile. They then tell me that they will have them ready in a half an hour. I snatched my pants and left to hustle home and figure something else out to wear. Needless to say, won't be going back. read more

Great little shop. Their tailoring service is great as well. I'd disregard some of these reviews about not responding to requests appropriately. They have done 24 service for me, just depends on how busy they are. English is not their first language. Having lived in Korea for two years, it's simply a sign that something was lost in translation, not blatant rudeness. read more

In searching for a good cleaner in the area unfortunately "tysons plaza cleaner"is the same as other ones.look friendly but all they think is money.no quality in their work.they can't remove a simple stain.i gave them my shirts with stain and I got it back with stains.that is not how they should work.what is funny that I cleaned the stain with CLORAX BLEACH myself at home.i just lost money.the lady was staring at me to give the money no excuse and she couldn't even speaks English. i always have a bad experience with the tysons plaza cleaners, very high price, i gave them my fave sweater to clean up,and they definitely shrink it badly,it;s hard to communicate with them ,about the quality of their service. I am in McLean for a year for work and thought this place would be perfect due to the location. I have brought button down cotton dress blouses here on 3 separate occasions for cleaning. Every time I have picked up shirts, buttons are either missing or broken. Went there tonight to pick up 11 shirts when I noticed one blouse was either stained or burned. Further, every one of my white shirts still had dog hair on them (my dog sheds a lot). Looked like they had been ironed but not cleaned. The employees are nice but I cannot afford to allow them to continue to ruin expensive dress blouses and not reimburse me for them. Don't risk your shirts here. If the cuffs are still buttoned, they just rip apart the cuff to flatten it out to iron. Another shirt had all buttons from both cuffs ripped off and then the buttons were taped to the cleaning receipt. Unacceptable. read more

Although I had been taking my clothes here for quite some time, I will not be going back to take my clothes here again. I recently took some shirts to be dry cleaned and they BLEACHED the collar of one of my blue shirts! They tried to say that it was my cologne and sweat that caused the bleaching to occur, but a) I do not wear cologne and b) if my sweat causes my shirts to be bleached then wouldn't my white shirts NOT get a dark ring around the collar. Plus, they bleached other parts of the shirt as well, front and shoulder. When I confronted her about this she kept trying to shift the blame to me and telling me it had to be something that I did wrong. Nothing is more infuriating than being told that you did something wrong when it is clear that you didn't. It also doesn't help that they would not acknowledge that they clearly messed up. I would have been happy to continue to bring them my business if they handled the situation better, but to refuse to fix the shirt or pay for the damage has put a terrible taste in my mouth. I would think we all need confidence in our cleaners that they will do the right thing when they mess up, but this situation has made me realize that they will never own up to their own faults and are terrible to deal with when they do mess up. I strongly recomend finding a cleaner that may be less convenient, but more trustworthy than this one. By the way, this is the second shirt that they destroyed and have cost me more money to buy two new shirts. You have been warned read more

As a frequent yelp user (but never reviewer), this is the first time I have been so surprised by negative reviews of a business that I've felt compelled to offer my two cents. I have been a customer of this dry cleaners for 10+ years, and could not be more pleased with their service. I use their dry cleaning services every month, and have also tried their shoe repair and alterations. They have never damaged, lost, or done anything but a great job cleaning any of my clothing. All of the alterations I've had done were accurate and timely. And, the shoe repairs have all held up well. I have tried other dry cleaning services in a variety of cities while away at school, and tested out some fancy DC dry cleaners when I lived in NW DC. But, I always found this place to offer the best combination of good prices and great service, so ended up saving my dry cleaning and driving 35+ mins out of my way to come back here. On top of offering great service, the staff is super friendly. As with any business, YMMV, but I have had nothing but overwhelmingly positive experiences here. read more
