We pay $475.00 a month and they lie and tell you are covered well and you are NOT!! Last year one of her employees cancelled my home owners policy so my home had no insurance for over a month before the BANK informed me that my policy had been cancelled. Then they never processed my flood insurance request so I had no flood insurance even though I live right on a bayou. They apologized and told me they'd do better so I stayed with them. Well, today was the last straw; I had a water pipe break on the weekend. I got the water turned off, and then I called the office because I didn't know what steps to take next because I knew this would be an insurance claim based on the amount of damage. The office recording said, "If this is an emergency, call Debbie at home at...." So I called the number because I didn't know what I needed to do and I wanted her to guide me. No answer on the "emergency contact" number. So I left a message thinking someone will call me back quickly. Nope. They finally called after almost 36 hours. I advised them I'd already taken care of the issue myself. Not exactly helpful to say "call this number in an emergency" and then to never bother answering your emergency calls. This is what I pay an insurance agent for... that THEY handle all this and I don't have to phone insurance companies, and figure out what I'm supposed to do and when. If I wanted to be ignored in an emergency I'd go with eSurance or some cheap online service insurance company that doesn't have agents. An insurance agent is supposed to be MY support during a crisis. Frankly I'm not getting that at all anymore... so I'm going to be taking my business elsewhere. So disappointed.

The women in the office would not call me back. Gaston himself promised to call me several times to resolve the matter and provide customer service, this went on for 5 months and still to this day I have never spoken to Gaston. Complete disaster of an office 2) The various ladies in the office were of no help and did not call back. They blamed the 4 price increases over the 5 months were "COMPUTER ERROR." Admitted State Farm was wrong and DEMANDED I PAY OR THEY WOULD "CANCEL MY POLICY IN 2 DAYS." Being concerned, I called the 1-800 number and spoke to a manager who stated what they told me is NOT TRUE and my policy would not cancel. Basically they used an illegal industry tactic and lied to me. Very condescending on the phone and of no assistance. 3) Use lame excuses to justify why my policy was raised 4 times in 5 months without any accidents or claims.
