After 3 months rent went from $87 a month to $167a month. Claiming sent a letter to me, informing me of the increase, but that is not true. Funny how when they're asking for money they don't mind sending our letters and emails, but when you wanna raise the rent, they claim they only send out a letter. Hard to track if a letter went out than a email. Moving my stuff out, I will never do business with this company again. As a marketing manager, I will make it my mission to expose this company. Currently, being sued in the state of California for this type of practice. I am going to work with my wife who is a Lawyer and with my background in marketing we are going to look at a class action lawsuit. This is my new missio.

It was difficult trying to find the main entrance to this location at 1400 S Mint St, Charlotte, NC…read more28203. The phone number I had for Penske wasn't the one for the actual location. You have to call the actual hardware store itself. I had to ask an employee at a neighboring company where the entrance was, and that's how I found out. Upon arrival, it took about 10 minutes for a Penske associate to come and assist me after being paged. Next, I was told that the truck I had reserved wasn't available, even though two were sitting outside. I was told I'd have to get a larger truck at no additional cost to me. I did not want that. I wanted the truck I reserved. It was then that I found out that, though my reservation was for that day, the other person who had reserved the same-size truck wasn't due to pick up her truck until three days later. The associate called and asked if the renter for the Monday reservation would be okay with a larger truck, so I could get the truck I reserved, but she refused. I was told they didn't have my truck available. Then magically, the truck showed up after I pointed out that there were two of the same-sized trucks outside that I had reserved. Apparently, one of their staff members did not inventory one of the trucks into the system after it was returned. So, I wound up getting the truck I reserved. The entire process took close to 40 minutes. I was frustrated, and no compensation was offered for my troubles. This wasn't impressive, given it was my first time renting from Penske. The associate seemed incompetent and disorganized, to say the least. It was a horrible experience. The truck didn't seem stable while I was driving, but it got me to my destination safely. I don't blame Penske for the issue; I blame only this particular location. My advice? RUN!!!
