Went in for an alignment. They told me it needed control arms replaced and quoted about $1,000 for…read moreparts and labor. Honestly not totally unreasonable for the job at today's rates. However, this is a job I can do myself to save a few hundred dollars, so I decided to do that. Once I had the parts and got ready to get started, I got the car up on stands...and discovered that the control arms are absolutely fine. No excess movement at all in the wheels, no play in the bushings. I even stuck my pry bar between the subframe and control arm right next to the bushings and tried to force them to shift out of place, nothing. Rock solid and no signs of deterioration on any bushing. Took it to Firestone and asked for an alignment, they came back in about 45 minutes with the report showing it was indeed slightly out of alignment... all fixed and resolved. Seems like just another predatory shop hoping for customers without any auto experience/knowledge they can upsell parts and services to. Watch out if you go in for routine services and suddenly find out your car apparently needs expensive repairs!

They gave us more for our trade than any of the other dealers we had visited on the same street (might I suggest staying FAR away from a certain nearby Chevy dealer), and it wasn't even a haggle. It was quick and easy and I didn't get ripped off. I didn't even have to FIGHT to not get ripped off. Imagine that! Our salesman, finance guy and the woman who helped us set up the truck with Onstar service were all just wonderful. I will say I really thought that having a dedicated person to go over the vehicle with you and help you deal with the annoying account setups and such is a GREAT touch of service. Now I haven't experienced the service department yet, and admittedly that is where a lot of dealers lose the repeat customer. We traded in a Toyota and their service department is the sole reason we swore to never step foot in a Toyota dealer ANYWHERE again. It was that bad. I don't expect anything but great service here though based on my experience so far. Bottom line... we feel like we lucked out by coming here and getting the service we received. This dealer is, in our experience, a diamond among the dirt along 36th street.

I have been in a constant struggle tring to receive a refund and have offered to ship the tire back but cant get anywhere. They even installed a brand-new Memphis Shades windshield on it at my request without asking for additional payment. It took me three weeks to get there but I found the staff pleasant and helpful. No complaints. I bought the bike and rode it home. LOVE IT!!! Great highway machine! I would not hesitate to buy another bike there although at my age it's likely this will be my last bike.
