Think twice before using this company!! I had referred my son to 2 men and a truck because I had a…read moregood experience with my move. My son and daughter in law did not have the same experience unfortunately. The crew they had showed no care at all with their belongings! They dropped his $6000 tv while moving it not once but twice and when they got to the new home it would not turn on. They also dropped his dresser, dragged his mattress across the grass giving it grass stains and lost brackets for a Cabinet. They ordered brackets for the cabinet. They sent out someone to assess the repair needed for the Dresser as the drawers don't open and close like they should now. Still waiting on that repair to be done. TV repair man came out and said the TV is ruined and would cost more to fix than replace. Two guys and a Truck responded by telling my son they would give him $3500 which is $2000 less than it would cost to replace it. I originally felt the company showed some integrity in their response to the damage done by their negligent crew but i am retracting that due to their most recent response to the situation. They had said that they were going to do the right thing and make things right, but this is far from the right thing and is definitely not right! Read the reviews on this company and you will see my sons experience is not an isolated incident. Consumer Affairs has 367 one-star reviews. Other review sites are not much different. This company could improve their customer relations just by doing the right thing!

Patriot Moving Systems caught my attention so I called them to get more information. I talked with Dennis to get answers to my questions. He told me they are full service, meaning they will pack as well as move your household contents. You also have the option to do your own packing. One place I called pretty much only loads and moves your stuff so you have to do your own packing. Patriot sells boxes and packing materials but also suggested Home Depot or Lowe's but said he actually prefers and recommends getting these from U-Haul as he thinks theirs are better quality and sturdier. What I like is the way Dennis explained our options without overly promoting materials through Patriot. He also explained the rates for their services. Basically it is an hourly rate per person plus a trip charge and cost of the truck usage. He came out and walked through or house and then was able to give us a rough estimate of the number of hours we would likely need. We planned to use a staging company so we needed to pack some things to thin out certain areas like closets and kitchen countertops. So we arranged for Patriot to send out three people to box and move things into the garage for three hours and that was a big help. They were focused and hard working guys who went practically non-stop for the time scheduled. Whenever there was a question about packing certain items they asked about it. I could tell that they all knew what they were doing, their experience showed and they treated our things as if they were theirs. Delicate items were wrapped well for protection. Our move is currently on hold as we continue to pursue selling our home but Dennis checks in with me periodically to see how things are going. I will update this review once we actually complete our move but we know who we trust with packing and moving our property.

The "white glove" packing was completed on 8/27/18, goods were loaded on 8/28/18 and delivered on 9/4/18. As there was evidence of damage to some household goods, we had swiftly alerted the broker (SafeWay Moving & Storage) the same day of delivery, asking them to address the issue for us. After the broker confirmed they were getting nowhere w/ Stevens related to any damages, I was informed on 10/18/19 to file an official claim myself, which I did on 10/19/18. Relating to one of our most prized pieces of furniture, our buffet was rebuilt by the driver/team upon delivery. However, when the legs put back on underneath, either the wrong screws were used or they were tightened too much, puncturing the inside of the cabinet from the bottom up, which was completely unnoticeable until we had began loading the cabinet well after the team had gone. Without sending anyone to my property to physically inspect the damage, Stevens had swiftly denied my claim on 10/25, with the following rebuttal, which they continue using today. "As this item is one that would be used on a daily basis it is reasonable to conclude that if the loss occurred while the item was in our custody, it would have been noticed either at delivery or shortly thereafter. The damage/loss for this item was not reported until 46 days after delivery. We find that the 2nd element of Carmack has not been proven. When this shipment delivered you signed the inventories acknowledging that the shipment was received in apparent good condition unless otherwise noted. You did not note any damage to this item at the time of delivery. There is no evidence that the damage that is now being claimed is a result of our handling or that this item changed condition while under our care, custody, and control. Therefore, we must respectfully deny liability." Unfortunately, they continue holding their line on this excuse. And their contracts are written so vaguely that any wrongdoing will always be pointed back at the consumer while protecting their corporation.

Cramming a 5 x 7 $2000 mirror at the opening for it to fall upon opening the door!! Inexcusable on EVERY level from start to finish! They did not even properly tag items as some were coming to a home and others to storage so I needed up with 4 items at the house that were to be in storage and vice versa in the storage! This was after being condescendingly assured that they would know what was to be dropped off where! The WORST moving experience EVER!!! And I have moved a lot!!!!!
