I used U-Pack ReloCubes to move from Michigan to Texas. Ordering the cubes and ordering pick-up was a breeze. It turned out that I had mis-calculated and I needed one more ReloCube. I called in the morning and a few hours later, they delivered one. I had my delivery scheduled for a specific date, but it was on a Friday and the people I hired to unload the ReloCubes would come on a Saturday. Unfortunately, my apartment management warned me that I could not leave the ReloCubes on the property overnight an that they would have them towed if I did. ABF Freight does not deliver or pick up ReloCubes on the weekend so with my current schedule, the ReloCubes would be left on the property over three nights. I called ABF Freight and had them change delivery to the next Monday. Then I rescheduled the unloading crew for 11:00am on Monday. I explained my situation to ABF Freight and they agreed to do two things. 1) Make sure to deliver my ReloCubes before 11:00 so they would be there when the unloading crew arrived and, 2) Pick up the empty ReloCubes that same day. They said they normally won't do same-day drop-off and pick-up, but they understood my situation and would make an exception. All in all, I was very satisfied with U-Pack/ABF Freight and would definitely recommend them. read more

I can say 2 good things and its all about the drivers. The drivers were on time and friendly. Here is where it goes sideways. I work in the logistics industry and I know the market. The price for hauling this is above market. I expected that. What I didn't expect was the astronomical storage fees, and the fee to deliver my trailer another 50 or so miles. Storage was 3x market. The delivery from Dallas to Princeton was double what I could have hired a driver to go get it and deliver that trailer. I know because I have a TMS system that put it out to bid. UPack would not allow it. The very worst part is while my trailer was in their storage that I was paying 800+ a month for, it leaked all over my stuff. My mom's wedding photos, ruined, other family photos, ruined, my leather garments and husbands leather riding gear all ruined and moldy from getting wet. These are things I can never replace. I would not go this route when moving long distance ever again. Im broke and my stuff is ruined. Pictures included. We called for them to pick up and now they are using my driveway for storage. Sure would like to charge them back for storage at their prices. All in 9K. read more

I have now contacted Roxanne 3 times. I have used this company upon the recommendation of other families and had 2 amazing moves. Except for our last move, it was costly, lengthy as the movers brought wrong size truck. We are so disappointed as it took us months to get into our storage unit, because the movers made a mess of our boxes, jammed everything into both units. Leaving the door unable to open. I have now paid 2 groups of people to help clean up the mess these people made. I've have not heard from Sean and I am asking for a refund for the damages they have cost us. Incredible experience!! My family moved from Tx to NY and I was so nervous about moving everything across the country! I received many quotes, but nothing beat U-pack pricing, so I took a leap of faith and booked with them. Not only was booking super easy, but they came quickly and on time to drop off the container. Michael was amazing! He explained everything so well and didn't let me lift a finger when he was showing me how to use the container! After they came to pick it up, very quickly once I was ready, I realized I forgot to lock my items with my own locks that they recommended I do, and I panicked and called the number provided. Wendy D. answered when I called and she was incredibly helpful and told me where my truck was and Ruben, the driver, was kind enough to take time out of his night to find my truck and put the locks on them for me! Wendy even gave my kids the best service with some popcorn and water while we waited! Then, the best part, our truck was delivered to NY so quickly! Within 3 days!! The entire process went smoothly, from getting a quote and having the empty relocubes delivered to the address of departure, then having the loaded relocubes being picked up, transported and stored in the new location and ultimately delivered at the final address. I used the U-Pack relocube moving service and had a great experience. I loaded and unpacked from the Dallas, TX and Elkridge, MD terminals to save money (also my apartments didn't have an easy location to drop the cubes). I sold all furniture and only moved boxes and a few miscellaneous items (bike, etc.). Everything arrived dry and in the same condition I packed it in. Everything arrived 2 business days earlier than my arrival window so that was unexpected, but I was able to make it work to avoid paying the $50/day fee after 3 business days. With COVID restrictions, both terminal offices had different procedures so it was a little confusing as to where to go when I arrived, but other than that, positive experience. read more

My wedding gift for my son was paying for his items to be moved from TX to NC. The container was delivered around 330pm (between noon and 4) and packed by the next day. They came to pick it up next day and it was delivered before noon on the delivery date. Everyone involved was nice and polite. It was a smooth transition in a stressful time. I'm glad I chose them. I used U-Pack for a CA to TX move and, surprisingly, didn't run into any issues. I opted to rent trailer space and load my belongings at their terminal. I tracked my shipment online (funny story: we passed the trailer on the highway coming to TX!) and, although I was quoted 5 business days, it got there in 3. Since my shipment was incredibly early, ABF allowed it to stay at the terminal until I was ready with no additional payment. Scheduling an unload time was simple but the woman I dealt with could've been friendlier over the phone. She clearly didn't like dealing with people. Anyway, I appreciated that I only paid for the space I used and everything on my final invoice was exactly what I was expecting when I signed the invoice in CA. Pro tip: strap the hell out of your stuff. I bought 12 ratchet straps from Amazon for $50 to secure a butt ton of boxes and a motorcycle. Spending fifty is way better than having broken stuff, and when we opened our trailer, everything was exactly where we left it. read more

Avoid dealing with this company. Go with another interstate moving company. ABF U-Packing is full of liars and cheaters. They kept the trailer in front of my house (in a fire lane) for a week. Despite repeated calls and threats to them, they wouldn't pick it up. I finally had enough and called the police. I filed a complaint and asked for the trailer to be towed (see photo). The company was notified yet they refused to pick it up citing issues finding a freight driver. The trailer was towed 48 hours later and that same afternoon, I received a call from a very angry "general manager" named Bruce saying that I am responsible for the trailer and I will pay for it. I kindly reminded him that I am a lawyer and I am within my right to not only sue ABF U-Packing but his ass as well. Again, I can't stress it enough. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

Very Good service, although the UPak cube is really for someone who does not have too much stuff. I lived in a studio type apt and really had no furniture, just a lot of boxes and a recliner and I ran out of room pretty quickly! So I had to get the container, that is really the way to go. You can use whatever space you need and then they use the rest for freight. The ceiling is nice and high too. They were friendly and courteous on the phone. They contact you with updates too. A nice way to move if you don't want to drive a truck hauling your car across states. read more

If you need labor help, find it locally and your $5-6K full service move will turn into $1500ish. I had an amazing experience moving from Dallas to St Louis with AFB U-Pack Relocubes. In Dallas the cubes were not allowed to be at the apartment complex so I hired movers who packed everything up in their truck and took it to the Dallas terminal and unloaded into the cubes. The movers ran late and we were there far past the normal hours but there was someone there to help us get to our cubes and even locate a 3rd when we realized everything was just not going to fit. In St Louis I was contacted about scheduling a time to have them delivered. My apartment here did allow them to be on property but only for 24 hous. We planned for a 8-12 delivery. The driver called at 7:45 and said he was driving in, perfect! My 3rd cube was not very full and I asked if we could empty it quickly so it wouldn't take up more space. He said that would make his day easier transporting them so he helped out and got everything inside before the rain hit. Movers came and unloaded. Driver called at 11:45 to see where we were and we had only 1 item left to unload, we did that and he showed up and took the units. They were only on property for about 4 hours total. PERFECT!!! I used a coupon from Yelp to save $50. For my 3 cubes from Dallas - O'Fallon, IL it was $1002. read more

Our experience with U-Pack trailer service was not an issue, and went as expected. However, Moving Staffers their partner packing service was completely awful. They charge by the hour, and what should've been a 4 hour job took over 6 hours. At the time we were fine with paying extra, as they assured us this was to ensure our furniture was packed well to avoid injury. Unfortunately we had extensive damage on over totaling $5k, including the TV, refrigerator, multiple tables, chairs, and our dining room table arrived in 5 pieces. We had provided the requested packing blankets and straps and at no time did the movers express any concerns with the materials they had. When contacting the company they offered only $50 to compensate for damages. What a joke! For the amount of money they charge, use another packing company. read more

AWESOME Experience!! I've looked at several moving companies and i didn't want to pay thousannddsss of dollars! Moved from NC to TX Also checked multiple pack it yourself company like zippy shell, even uhaul has a UBOX which is very similar to the relocube for ABF's Upack, although uhauls u box was cheaper then ABF by just 200$, i prefered abf's based on the reviews. The relocube is small, after further research i found out they also have a trailer which they will drop off just like the cube, but with more space, you only pay for what you use which is much more conveint then the cube cause you get a whoollleee trailer and you'll get a quote on certain amount of feet and if you use less then your quote you get some money back but if you end up using more then they charge you a bit per foot! much better then have to stress over needed an extra cube since we prob would have filled 1.5 cubes but would have ended up having to pay for to cubes which would have been more then the trailer! Besides this I've recieved great customer service through the found by Lupita Barraza (ft. Worth) and my drivers from apex was very punctual and professional andddd a great driver having to squeeze in etween to big cars just to have the trailer in the position i needed it. My driver from ft worth/arlington also amazing! I will def use this company again!!! read more

Upack is the worst!!! Never try to have service a customer deserved and you would waste a lot of time and money! I should have my trailer delivered today, but neither the Upack nor ABF(the carrier) give me a exact time window in advance. Their so called time window is from 8AM - 5PM. Who can wait all day in a empty house! I am in late pregnancy and live in hotel far from the new house. I definitely can't get there the minute they call! The driver just wait 10mins and left. The only thing I can do is to call Upack again and wait till they can schedule another attempt. I am not sure whether I can have my stuff in several days, but I am sure It will cost me extra hundreds dollars because I still have to stay in the hotel and all my schedules are messed up. A simple text including exact time window is normal in the industry but impossible for U pack. U pack operation system is the worst and their customer service really don't care about customer! Don't waste your thousands dollars! If I could give U pack a negative point, it is negative infinity. Look at other complaint and reviews. First time using them, and everything worked out great! I quoted several moving companies, but they we so expensive. We decided to have them drop the container, and hire the moving guys to professionally pack the truck (the companies they suggested on their site). Worked out perfect, we saved money, and had the moving guys pack the truck in California. You have to supervise them, but at least they do a better job than most of us can do. Once we reached out destination in Texas, I called and hired moving guys again, usually it's about 40.00 for two guys per hour. We ended up using them 1/2 hour over, but for around 100.00 it was well worth it to have someone else move and carry everything each way. Hope this helps. I would use them again. Customer service was pretty on it, and I had a communication issue once I reached Texas and management was nice enough to help with the situation/problem. To store the container for 1 month is 500.00, so it's a little costly if you need to do that, but I guess they are not in the business of storage, so I assume that's why it's so high. read more

U-Pack did an awesome job with transporting my household items from California to Texas. I was told that it would take 5-7 business days to arrive after loading items at the terminal on March 25. Weekends an holidays weren't included. I also was told that it arrive June 4-6, but it arrive in Dallas Texas on May 30th. I was overwhelmed with happiness. Emily, Ace, and Scott went above and beyond to take care of my needs and made sure to ask questions to ensure I was going with the right package for my move. I ended up not using their service, but they took me step by step through the moving process, helped me get better pricing than PODS, and even offered me a little extra time to decide if I wanted to use their service after being unsure if I would need them. What prompted me to go with the extra time was because they gave me $200 off my move! Wow! Everything was exactly as advertised - extremely easy to schedule and very professional and capable people, especially the ABF dispatchers and drivers. Highly recommend using U-Pack, as the 5-day packing and unpacking window as well as the (somewhat) flexible delivery schedule gives you options and takes the pressure off of having to be all ready to go for a regular moving service.
