We have used u-pack twice and understand things happen. They work with a company called Moving staffers and they provide the movers to load and unload. Movers unprepared show up four hours late no dollies or tools to put the adjustable bed back together that the first movers they sent took apart . We were assured they would be prepared and know how to put the bed back together , they were not ! When the movers went over, they wanted to charge us? It was an 8x8 small pod $584.50 for two hours studio apartment definitely stay away from this company!!! read more

I found UPACK online, while blindly searching for a moving company. I had never done this before, so I was nervous as to how this process worked. I had also just seen something in the news about scandalous moving companies, so from the gate I was skeptical. They were perfect and professional from start to finish. I was moving a family member from someplace most people have never even heard of before to Los Angeles. UPACK came through from the first phone call. All of the staff that I dealt with were professional and courteous the whole time. They delivered exactly as promised. I loved the fact that they kept me in the loop the entire process. I also loved the fact that it was easy to communicate through their texting system. Even the drivers who delivered and picked up the trailer was nice. Overall, I truly had a pleasant STRESS FREE experience and I've been telling everyone about them. I even told the realtor to use them for people who don't have a clue as to how to move someone from one state to another. Also I was pleased with their pricing. Excellent customer service from everyone at ABF (who my family has used for years) and the UPack staff. The one exception was the dispatch clerk who answered the phone so unprofessionally you knew it was not going to be good. We had at least three encounters with this same woman and she was rude and short each time! But again, aside from this, the staff is amazing. We do find the transport of cubes to be a bit pricey (verses a trailer), however, we understand the cost of gasoline along to transport across country (1600 miles in our case) has to be recognized. Agai, the degree of professionalism, especially when there was also a serious delay delivery, was simply outstanding. Would give five stars but for the dispatch clerk. read more

Professional and affordable way to move belongings from Texas to Puerto Rico. We originally reserved 1 pod, but decided 2 would be easier and that greatly reduced the price per pod overall. We opted to load and pick up from their facilities to save money, versus having pods delivered and picked up. That was a good decision as loading and unloading was easy. The original shipping estimate was around 3 weeks, but it arrived a full week early. Our pods were packed as tight as we could get them and we had no damages during shipping. During unloading, the movers dropped a box which contained photos. A baggie with my children's sonogram photos slipped under pod. After we left, a worker discovered the photos and instead of tossing them, they called me and held them for over a week until I could get back to their office to get them. I would gladly use them again for any future shipping needs and will highly recommend to those looking for options to move between the island and stateside. read more

I hired U-Pack for two cube shipping containers from Texas to California. First the freight company wouldn't go down my country community road like UPack promised they could so I had to rent a UHaul moving truck, pack everything into it and drive it up to the freight company and transfer it to the secure cubes. I offered me a discount for my troubles (not enough discount though). While I was on my way up to the freight company (actually while driving there) UPack called me and said that they didn't actually have the cubes available for me. They said the freight company had 12 feet of the bulkhead of a shipping container (unsecured). Ya....I had no choice. I was leaving to drive to California right after I loaded the freight container. Again, they said they would give me a discount. And again, not nearly enough for the troubles they put me through. So, my stuff arrived in California about 5 days later, but I'm thinking it's because the freight company was delivering it. Who knows where it would have ended up if UPack was in charge of the delivery. When the charge went through my account it was for the amount before the last screw up. They didn't charge me the amount with the discount for having to use the bulkhead of the freight container. They didn't honor their word. They said they would split the difference. So, I got a discount of $150 for having to use a unsecured bullhead of a semi freight container. Every time they promised something they couldn't follow through. I will never use them again! I should of went with PODS! read more
