They responded back the same day and set up a time to come look at the house and give us a quote. He came out on Thursday and said he would call us on Friday with a quote. Wife and I had agreed we were going to use them, just wait and hear back. Friday came and went with no call. I waited until Saturday and nothing. I emailed the guy that came out to our house. Nothing. I then emailed the owner. Nothing. On Sunday, our moving company called and I explained I had not heard back from packers. He said he would call them. A few hours later, the owner responded with an email asking if we ever heard from the worker that came to our house. The owner explained he was out of town with a sick family member. I responded back that I understood completely but would love to get the quote back and get busy since our move was happening in a couple of days. No response again, from anyone. So we decided at last minute to pack our house and get it ready in two days! Communication has been horrible. The owner seems like a good guy and I understand he has a sick family member. Not only was Kevin (owner) fast to reply but he made a point once we discussed the move to come out and get eyes on ever before even giving me a quote so it could be as accurate as possible. His pricing was fair and I booked right away. Come moving day his guys showed up and quickly, efficiently, and carefully got everything loaded up and in the truck ready to go. They were friendly and I could not have asked for more out of a moving company and it's employees. Smithman movers was so amazing when we needed to have more moving done we scheduled it from across the country and it was handled flawlessly. I honestly cannot recommend them any more.
