Forgot this companies name and just found it in old text message. I originally hired Quick and…read morecareful moving and they NEVER showed up even after rescheduling twice. They are another story and I would never recommend them. They called Mach and asked if he could help me and my move that was supposed to take place on Saturday morning, 6-29-24, finally happened on Monday morning. So I sat in a house with nothing but filled boxes ready to move and thank God my couch and TV were still there so I could watch it. One of their movers was pretty professional and very polite the other one not so at all. when he got dirt and leaves all over inside my new place, his response was, hey man you got some bullshit that you're gonna have to clean up. After they left I did find two nicks in my walls and this was a brand new build that they gouged. I paid them, but was never given a receipt. The other company gave me the cell phone of Mach . After texting him and reaching out to him at least four times telling him I needed a receipt for tax purposes he NEVER responded. To come highly recommended and do business the way he did was just horrible. I would never use them or recommend them again. So if you have a choice, please look elsewhere.

Big Lake Movers answered promptly, had the date available I needed, and provided a quote right over the phone. I called back a few days before the move since I'm paranoid and wanted to make sure I was still on the schedule, and they were not at all put off by my checking. When scheduling the move I was asked a list of questions to help them schedule the movers and so they knew what to expect. Ours was a pretty easy move of just furniture and larger items. They will ask how many bedrooms, approximately how many boxes, and what types of larger items. Pretty straightforward. Their fee structure is very reasonable. We had 2 movers who came with a very large truck. They loaded everything quickly and easily. They also came prepared with a lot of moving blankets to protect items en route. They did not have shoe covers or plastic to cover the carpeting. I covered the stairs at our new house with moving paper, they put down moving blankets in the hallway, and kicked off shoes where the moving blankets did not cover. They were very respectful of keeping the carpets cleaned. The whole move took about 4 hours including transit time. They take credit card payments by phone as well, which makes the whole process very easy. Overall I am very happy with the whole experience, and would definitely recommend them to anyone moving locally.

We decided to pack up our own stuff but have them move the larger items. Scheduled a 6.5 hr slot for the Saturday and we finished in 5 hours. Then came packing and moving days. Now I would refer to this company as A Pickup and a Couple of Guys. They immediately started to complain about how much they had to pack and how they had to leave at 5 so they weren't sure they could get it done. China was packed using cloth place mats which they had to hunt to find since the china and place mats were in different parts of the house. There was plenty of bubble wrap available. Crystal was thrown in a box with packing paper. Items were moved from one part of the house to another to pack so when we unpacked we were not able to find complete sets of items. Sure enough, when 5 pm came the majority of packers left even though they had not packed any of our bathrooms and had left 4 kitchen cupboards untouched. Fortunately 2 of the other packers were responsible and finished up. The next day, the actual moving day, was a repeat. Complaints about how much stuff we had, they hadn't planned enough trucks, the boxes were too heavy. By 4:00, when we saw them passing a joint around we just wanted them gone. We are not naive but we didn't appreciate their vulgar language. On move in day they were expected between 8-9 AM. We had confirmed that time several times in advance. They did not show up until 1:30 PM. Every time we called to check we were told they were still loading the trucks. We now think they couldn't round up enough workers. Two furniture items were broken so they could not be used, 2 lamps were packed so poorly that the switches no longer worked. Several dishes and glasses were broken. We have taken pictures of all of the damage and submitted them multiple times to Nathan, the manager. He has not responded. No adjustor has come to analyze the broken pieces of furniture so we can get them repaired. We paid extra for breakage insurance so that was a waste of money.
