A to B marked on their instructions in several places. Strata is very strict about the rules. This is an apartment building we are moving out of. They showed up at 9 pm. Yes 9 hours late of the original booking time. No apologies. A to B said they have experience with moving. I don't think so! They should either have proper estimates or planning or better management. This is unacceptable. An hour late, I get but 9 hours late is extreme. The move happened between 9 pm to 1 am. Yes it ended at 1 am. This is an apartment building and it causes lot of disturbance to other tenants as well. Their movers thinks the world evolves around them. No considerations to other tenants. I don't recommend using this company. Great now we are going for a hearing with strata thanks to A to B Moving & Freight. A to B Moving & Freight is the WORSE moving company that you can deal with.

Now here's the deal, they arrived to my condo in Alberta and told me i looked like i belonged in a shack, anyways i laughed it off and moved on. big Al opened the back of the truck and walked away; I go to place my new top of the line pink and yellow bed frame in the truck but the truck is halfway filled with portable toilets, to make matters worse when i place my frame down a minor jumps out and screams "FORNITE FOR LIFE DUDES" and knocks over a toilet ON TO MY NEW BED FRAME. Big Al told me it was my fault for scaring his brother who has some condition? I wasn't even listening i was just screaming about my pink and yellow bed frame that was now brown. I feel like this says enough.

Apparently the local Uhaul owners can't or won't or likely aren't allowed to make any decisions. This basically negated our two way ferry booking as we couldn't make a new booking due to ferry loads. This also added $90 each way, almost doubling our ferry costs. Good old Nicholas Spears from somewhere up the Uhaul chain washed his hands of us saying we were told a couple days out. Not his problem. He said our kind of booking isn't a priority. On a previous booking the truck we had booked was available but at a location in another town. Would they cover the difference in mileage? Not a prayer. Fooled me twice. Somehow I'm embarrassed when it's Uhaul who should be. Don't you be fooled by the word 'reservation' when Uhaul uses it. I also had had the occasion to rent a van from them for a trip to the lower mainland and it was clean and ready to go for me when reserved. I would highly recommend the team at the Sidney location for their courtesy, customer service and ability to solve the customer's problems as if they were their own. They have lots of sizes, fair prices, and also other locations they can call if they're booked up. The rental process was very easy. The place is clean, professional looking, has lots of security features so you know your belongings are safe. There was a slight change in the charge for the month that we noticed later on, but the lady who helped me was friendly and accommodating at getting it sorted. Access is easy as well - you can drive up to the loading doors and they have large trollies to use. Once we cleared out our things, the process was easy and once again, exceptional staff. I'll definitely know where to go if I ever need another locker. Thank you!

I have been a residential Alpine customer for about 6 years. I was only doing monthly pickup…read morerecently (was doing weekly for the 5 years prior). I was away last week and missed the pickup. my own fault but come this week I went out to ask the guy doing pickups if he wouldn't mind taking it today. He responded with an absolute "No" and that I was out of luck. Then proceeded to tell me I should have done it on my scheduled date. While he does not have any obligation to to do so as it was indeed my fault for not being around the previous week, I feel that it was a small gesture since Alpine was already paid for the pickup. I was standing in front of the driver, next to the garbage can I mentioned and he couldn't be bothered. This is what customer service looks like in 2015. Looks like Waste Management, reFuse or someone else local can thank you for a new customer.

We booked Bekins Moving because of reviews online. We had a Bekins rep come to our house and do…read morean estimate and we set up a move date. Over the next month several emails were sent regarding questions for our move. We showed up at the office and picked up extra boxes and packing material getting ready for our move. Finally moving day. Everything in our house was now packed and ready. After a few hours of waiting in the morning we phoned to find out when the moving company would be there. We were told we had nothing booked. After searching they found the email chain and advised that someone forgot to submit the paperwork. There would be NO ONE coming that day to pick up our stuff. All our food was pack all our bedding was packed. Bekins offered to put us up in a hotel for the night because of that. They then had to scramble and ended up getting a crew from Parksville to come down the next day to move our stuff. The trucks that arrived were old and unmarked the crew were not wearing any identification showing they were Bekins moving crew. The final move was over $700 more that the initial quote. When we finally moved into our new place there were items in our stuff that was not ours . Including a wooden bed frame and a purse. NOT OURS!!! My Webber BBQ had a big dent in the door and my step ladder and weed eater were bent in half. All in all I would not use Bekins moving for any of your moving needs.

Destroyed my couch, busted the walls & refused compensation…read more I initially thought they would be a great company to move with as the booking was smooth and they assured me even with a detailed explanation of my home, their movers would be able to handle the furniture properly. Upon arrival, the movers spent over an hour trying to force the couch through the door- this was after I explained in detail how my friends and I (who are not movers) configured the couch through the doorway when we got it in. They ended up breaking the legs and the frame of my antique couch against the walls taking out chunks and leaving scrapes, and against my wishes, dismantled the couch. In the end, they couldn't get the couch out. Later, my friends and I easily got the couch out, the same way we got it in, without damaging anything. I have been in an ongoing battle with Joseph from the company trying to receive some sort of compensation. Joseph originally agreed to offer a replacement couch from their warehouse, or to place a value on my couch and find a replacement at ReStore. He has now backtracked on all offers, citing some company policy not originally stated when offering the other replacements. It has been OVER a year since the move, there hasn't been any resolution in regards to the broken couch, nor the damages to the walls. Truly the most disappointing and frustrating moving experience. I would not recommend them to anyone. Ouch My Back & You Move Me have been life savers.
