Rented 4 cocktail tables and I was charged a recovery fee and of course a refundable deposit. I fail to understand the concept to charge a fee to rent a table and then an extra fee (called recovery fee) in case of wear and tear that is not refundable in the case that the rented items come back not damaged. Also my in laws came from out of state to organize us an event. They went to the store and couldn't rent anything because they don't have a TX driver license. While I understand that rules are rules and each business can chose to run as they wish I would find it more transparent and professional if their website would state that ,, You can not rent any items from us if you don't hold a TX drivers license" . More so if you are coming from out of state and would like to organize a party bring your own stuff, we won't do business with you. read more

We received tables and chairs for an event, but the tables were not in good condition (the tops were splintered, I could not use one of the tables because I was worried it would hurt guests even with a table cloth on top) and the bases were all different. It did not look nice unless the table cloth covered most of the base so I had to go buy more table cloth. I had to clean and wipe down all the chairs a few times...but if I returned it in horrible condition, they would charge me. That is insane to me. I would not rent anything for a nice event from them. They also took pictures of my vehicle VIN and my drivers license which seemed excessive & an invasion of privacy. I understand people can steal items from their business but they have my credit card/payment info on file. The price is also not worth the quality of the items being rented. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Needed to rent hot water pressure washer. Tried to choose local contractor rather than National Chain. Ended up having to pickup in Rockwall rather than Terrell. Unit worked great for two hours then started having problems. Hose busted and bad o-ring in wand sprayed water everywhere but where we wanted it to go. Told them of problems when we returned. They confirmed issues and then offered no compensation. Just a "too bad, so sad" attitude and here's the bill. My mistake for trying to do business locally. Next time I'll stick to United or Sunbelt. read more

I'm not sure what the negative reviews are referencing as I didn't have the sane issues. They were very helpful getting what I needed in a short amount of time. I rented two speakers, a microphone, and a mixer from them for an outdoor wedding for which I was playing keyboard. The equipment worked and everything, but the cables were flimsy and low quality. Service was poor; I'm a 110 lb female and nobody helped me carry in the speakers and mixer. When I checked in and out they seemed angry with me for giving them business. I rented a frontend loader/ tractor and without telling me they added a rental protection fee of $ 21.00 to final bill. I told them I wanted this off because it was nothing but a scam to pad the bill. They try to pull this off as insurance but it's just an in house fraudulent scam . If anything broke on the equipment it would have been lack of maintenance which is their responsibility. They have no evidence of having rental protection insurance. I will soon be reporting to the BBB and Texas Attorney General's Office for fraud. read more

We made the mistake of renting (1) table cloth and (15) chairs from U Rent It this last weekend. We made the mistake of not looking at the table cloth before leaving. We did not think we needed to since it was wrapped in plastic as if it just came from the cleaners. We loaded up the chairs and tablecloth at 10:30. We were running a little behind schedule with our guess coming at 1:00. When we go home and unwrapped the tablecloth it had worn out holes throughout. Since we did not have time to go back, we made due and bundled up and bowed the cloth so not to see the holes. The chair were rusted and dirty, but we did not mind that too much....it wasn't the wedding it was a wedding shower. Upon returning the chairs and tablecloth at 3:30 the same day and showing them the tablecloth since we were unhappy with the product, we were told that we not only were not getting our deposit, but we were being charged $89 since we ruined a brand new tablecloth. Are you serious? They said we should have called immediately and brought back. Are you serious? We were running around trying to get everything ready before our guess arrived. We did not get our deposit back on the tablecloth, but being charged $89. PLUS, we did not get our deposit back on the chairs......what did we do to the chairs.......not even mentioned when we brought them back. I rented a power washer from their Terrell location. It was obvious that they were very busy when I arrived, but they greeted me immediately and were so friendly. Asking questions relating to my needs, they helped me decide on how much power I needed to do the job and matched me with a washer I could handle. Helped me get it into my SUV. I used it for about four hours and suddenly the pressure died. I called and was asked to bring it back. After inspection they gave me another washer and extended my rental time to allow for my inconvenience. I was impressed. I will definitely use them again. read more

These guys are a joke, The girls behind the counter do their best, however the owner is a total jerk. Tried to change pricing after I returned equipment because his team didn't price it out correctly to start with *that's clearly not a customers issue). I had a battle with him over it and he agreed to "honor" the original pricing. He has a real training issue and has a staff left to try and do their best. They would do fine if he would get his facts straight before opening his mouth. I will never go back there and I would recommend the same to everyone else. read more

I have used this company many times ONLY because it is cheap. Well, you absolutely get what you pay for with them. Everything we have ever rented was absolute garbage. The customer service is far more than a disappointment. I am actually embarrassed FOR them. The round tables are all damaged, the stage is a sad joke, and they NEVER deliver the porta-pots in time... or at all. I ordered two pots a month ago and it being the day before my event, I called to check the delivery time. They informed me that "someone was supposed to call me, cause they don't have any". So my event is tomorrow and I have, yet again, been at the mercy of U-Rent-Its shitty work ethic. read more

We rented our wedding chairs from You Rent IT. The price was reasonable, and I wrote a check for $250 for the deposit as a term of the rental. We got married four hours away, so we had to rent a U-Haul to transport our 40 chairs in. The guys that loaded the trailer for us knew how far we were traveling, and they did not tie down any of the chairs in the U-Haul. They wished us well, and we were on our way. Fast Forward two weeks later, as we return from our Honeymoon, I received an email from the staff stating that some of the chairs were damaged, and I was told to call to discuss options. The email included an invoice for over $1,000. We were told when we called that we could pick up the chairs and clean them, and return them, to save from having to pay for all of the chairs. We did not get an official count until a full week later - 38 damaged chairs. U Rent It claims that the chairs were damaged because we did not tie them down on the commute. When confronted with the fact that their warehouse personnel did not tie them down, they did not have anything to say. We spent at least 45 minutes per chair cleaning them thoroughly. We had several problems in the meantime, including being accused by the owner of the company of using sand paper on plastic chairs to remove black stains. My husband was able to prove that we were using non-abrasive cleansers, hence the reason it took so long to get the chairs clean. We dropped off the final load of cleaned chairs and was told we would be updated in a few days of the status of the chairs, as the owner was out of town. SIX WEEKS LATER, my husband received a voicemail that we owe almost $700, and they are calling to collect payment. We were never even told that some of the chairs were not accepted back, an invoice was not sent via email or mail, and there was no previous communication that the chairs still were a problem. SIX WEEKS. Two days later, the check for $250 was sent through MY account, without a phone call, email, invoice, or any kind of communication. It was two days before Christmas, and it caused my bank to overdraft. I signed the check, and no one called to advise they were sending the check through. When I did call to talk to someone, they could not tell me the cost of each chair, or why I had not received any communication from them. Gwen listened to me relay all of the details to her, but did not have any answers. I was advised that the manager would call me back to discuss. There is no communication here, and the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. We should have received some sort of communication advising that the chairs were not accepted back, that there were ____ amount of damaged chairs that we are responsible for, and the amount is _____. Expecting that was too much, apparently. I am truly upset not only at the lack of communication, but also at being accused of cleaning the chairs with sandpaper, and further, that no one advised they were cleaning out my checking account two days before Christmas. I still have not received a call from the manager, and I'm not going to hold my breath. Don't give them your business. You will regret it like we do. read more
