No surprise but my review will reaffirm all of the fine reviews that have been given thus far. My car recently had an engine issue on I-95 forcing me off Bunnell exit south of Palm Coast. Calling a Honda dealership they thought it might be plugs (misfires in the cylinders) due to the warning lights my car indicated. Being from Jacksonville 70 miles to the north I was clueless who to take my car to in this area. I checked John's Yelp reviews, gave him a call and felt confident enough to take my car to his shop. He quickly scoped my car, diagnosed the problem, quoted me a very fair price, and had my car ready just a few hours later. I was able to rent a car in the meantime. Total charge $122!! He could have charged me anything and I would have been at his mercy. HONESTY-INTEGRITY-FAIR. Thank you thank you from a man who was far from home! My car has run just fine since then. read more

I called to have my car looked at by John, here at Us Auto Service to see why my car is leaking fluids and he not only said he couldn't fix by choice just because he feels my car is junk. I would not recommend going to him. My family and I have referred people to him resulting in him having business. He was very rude and nasty about it I would not be going back. read more

My friend took a Toyota there for a loud brake noise at 196000 miles.. They replaced front brake rotors and pads, they said. I had the rotors and pads replaced on that Toyota, at 181,300 miles in 2023. I saw my friend just a week earlier and she said the car including brakes were doing fine, but a couple of days later she heard the noise. How could a Toyota need rotors and pads with just 14,700 miles since they had been replaced by a licensed shop that specializes in Toyota vehicles. No way! Seems like the female car owner was taken advantage of, by US Auto Service. read more

If you are buying a used car, be prepared to bring it to a mechanic before buying from here. Sadly, we didn't. I am on limited income & trued to help buy my son a car. We purchased a car that didn't make it from Bunnel to Daytona. 3 of 6 coils were bad, all hoses were dry-rot, radio broke, electrical problems... after paying $300 to have it towed back, 3 days later, we received it, it turns out not a thing was done, the same day & still having problems, we brought it for an oil change, THERE WAS NO OIL, Fernando said he replaced the spark plugs, NOT! & instead of being replaced the hoses were super glued back on, radio & electrical problems remained. They will continue to state, "if you wanted a working car, we would have charge you more... all they know how to do is to "put lipstick on a pig!" DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! read more

I took my lincoln there for air conditioner repair. Installed a condenser that they broke and told me he didn't want to repair my car anymore after I took it back because of the broken condenser. Paid for a repair they I never received since they broke the condenser. Now it's a Tuffy's to be repaired again. read more

This is going to be a little long. Sorry. :-) I called John of US Auto Service, Inc. because I had used him several times recently, and he had not only done a fantastic job, but he had always been truthful and never, not once, directed me to do something I didn't need to do, which in itself might not sound like a big deal, but it is. Anyways, this time it wasn't for me. My elder neighbor had recently had her kids move in with her to "help her" after her husband passed. Long and the short of it, they put 14K miles on her old car without maintaining it, leaving her unable to do any of what she needed to do. She got quotes from other service centers, and the bill was going to be well over $1500, which she simply didn't have. The kids got their own car after they used hers up, but weren't very cooperative above giving her lifts to the various places she needed to go. She really needed help, but we couldn't afford the $1500 either. Anyways, I called John and talk to him, explaining the situation. In his always rushed tone, he said, "Well drop it off and I'll take a look at it." I don't know if he's a secret angel or really really nice or simply crazy, but he managed to put that engine back together, giving our neighbor her life back, and he did it for such a reasonable price I really don't know how he did it. I don't want to put his business out there and all, but this was the week he had to bury his brother, he had other issues with help in the shop... All the while saving us over $1000!?!?!?! I had a quote to completely rebuild the A/C in my truck. It was over $2000! He managed to do it, with all new parts for less that 25% of that! That was months ago and it's still blowing as cold as when we picked it up. John and the guys do a great job. But more than that, he really care, and helped someone who really needed it. I can't say enough about them. Thank you John both for what you've done for me and now for what you managed to do for my neighbor. If there's ever a moment when you feel you're not making a difference in the world (and I hope there isn't) smack yourself in the head for me! I have personal friends that have shops in Flagler County. They'll never see my cars again. YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING! read more

This the Year 2018! I am a retired ASC mechanic and very particular where I have my vehicles repaired. I have been going to John as U S Auto since I moved here from California 15 years ago and still maintain that I will not even think of going somewhere else for auto repair. This man is impeccable, honest and full of integrity and very knowledgable on every aspect of a vehicle. What can I say about John, he's upfront honest, ethical, and in this world today, that is so refreshing. I was told by dels garage in Bunnell, I needed my continuous variable transmission dealt with, and dels was willing to do it for OVER $300.00, I went to John, he took it in at 8 a.m and was done by 4, and total bill... $123. I am so appreciative for this, because I had to have the work done 2 weeks before Christmas, so by him doing the job for that amount, it left me money to buy Christmas. Been coming to Johnny for a long time now second car I have owned and he is down right a great guy he doesn't feed you bull crap like some do in town . In all of my 16 years of car owning, U.S. Auto in Bunnell is by far the most honest and reasonably priced mechanic. John's also really good at fixing cars! He has fixed 3 of our cars over the course of 6 years. He always had reasonable labor rates and found good prices on parts so even a "big" job would cost us less than anywhere else around. I've had John work on several of my cars over many years. The work is always done right and at a fair price. I've come to appreciate John's work so much, I've used him not only when I lived in Palm Coast, but also when I lived just outside Orlando and from where I live now in Port Orange. Even my daughter who lives in Maryland had her car serviced by John while she was in the area visiting. As long as he remains in business, I'll probably continue to go out of my way to have my cars serviced there. In fact, as I'm writing this review, we're waiting on call back from John regarding my other daughter's car that's being serviced there right now. Even my parents take their cars there for service.
