I can't choose "0". These guys are everything the other reviews mention PLUS they do not pay their contractors or subcontractors!!!

It forces me to choose one star, but if you could choose zero or less I'd do it. Do not choose these guys or any residential services. Used non-approved contractors to do our electrical, and pulled cheapest permits which did not cover the approved work. Lost receipts and payments, we had to pay another legal electrician to fix their work before the city would approve. Hired them after home fire. Worst people I've ever met. Dishonest about the work they were doing and when they were doing it. I caught them painting over burnt wood and using trash wood to put my home back together. They were not trustworthy and I would never refer them to anyone. read more

Aug 2016, the first day of school, I had a house fire. I hired Us Construction to redo my house from the fire. Ok I was on board with them until I just pop up at my house while the floor guy was there and find them laying down with the feet on my couch. Ok they so called took care of it. Ok so I get back in my house around November of 2016, and around April of 2017 I started seeing little water bubbles on my floor, I didn't pay it any mind at first but started back around late May early June of 2017 more water bubbles kept coming and then I started looking more at them, I started calling and leaving messages but I started keep a count in June about them coming out to redo my floors and sink. So they sent a guy out to look and my floors and sink in Late August and he told me that is was me who messed up my floors because my floors started getting water bottles in them and I was using the wrong mop which I wasn't. The guy took a picture of my mop basket that I had just got done mopping my kitchen, bathroom, back door, laundry room, and front door with. He told Whitney Jones that I was using that mop to mop my floors which was a lie, so Whitney Jones told me that he would have to come out to look at my floors himself. I was like ok, but I have called everyday and leave a message. I sometimes skip a day, but when I call now because they have caller I'd and they know my voice, and it's to the point now that the ladies Monica Marie, Michelle, or Drew, would tell me that Whitney is stressed, he has a lot on his plate, he's not in the office, he's on a call, or he will call me back which he has not done yet and today is November 1,2017. I called today twice and Drew said he's on vacation, but when I called this afternoon Michelle said he is out of the office. So I told Michelle drew said he is on vacation, Michelle then say well I been giving him all of your messages and I can't control if he calls you back or not. Then I asked who is in charged while he's on vacation, she said Ed, I said well can I talk to him and of course he's not there either. Anyone that is readying this. I don't recommend this company point blank. This is the worst experience I have had to keep dealing with, but because of all of the stress with my floors and sink, I have been dealing with headaches, stressing, can't sleep good at night. I have to take 5 different meds just to help with all of this and I still have not heard from them. I really hope that someone that works with US Construction Services really have someone to get my house back in order. Oh and my insurance company paid them in FULL. Is anyone else having this problem emailed me so we can all get together and keep reporting them until they do they job. (I don't know why It shows I'm living in CA. But this incident happened in Houston TX...That's where I live. The home was not in the Houston city limit when this happened. May have changed since.... But we all say we live in Houston) 2016, Feb 29, My home caught on fire. Their salesman showed up present themselves quite professional and friendly. Then...the real night mare started after six months of signing of the contract. Very little work. The work was estimated 2~3 months to finish. Summer was coming. So we had very strong belief we be back home at least by end of the summer...when school starts. It took over a year for them to have our home in a livable condition. Not finished in many details, work, un-cleaned...etc. We asked to get the rest done ASAP. We paid them 1/3, 2/3 payments already. We couldn't understand why they won't finish the job. A few months passed by again, we tried to move in, but friends suggested that contractors won't do their job if we do...so opted to stay out. When after so many pleas and "cries," we got tired, and sent them a certified letter saying let's peacefully end the relationship that we will find others to finish it--They owe us nothing and we owe them nothing. And let's call it even. We had so much emotional loss and financial loss. Then they showed and offered discount to "finish" the job and wanted the final payment before. It didn't make any sense. That's breaking the contract I fired back and they should get this work done and get paid. Never asked for any discount. (There were a lot of spark. From both parties: US Constructions and me.) But He (Owner, a big dude) kept saying he knew the kind of us insinuating that we are not going to pay or we are going to stiff them. What a ball. After over year and he saying I'm not going to pay the final payment. They never returned after that quarrel. They simply and quietly put a lien on our home for the unfinished work. For Unfinished Work!!!!! Now we are suing them thru small claims court. They now hired a lawyer to sue us back. For WHAT?! I hired this company to restore my home after a fire in January 2016. It took 9 months for the repairs to my home to be completed. There were 3 months in which nothing was done to the home and as a result, my home received copious amounts of water in due to the heavy rains that occured in May of that year. Sheetrock had to be replaced due to mold. I asked for a statement regarding the materials purchased and was informed that is not how business was conducted. In August,I left my job to be on site full time, as the project manager was no where to be found and the sub contractors had been given erroneous information. Three of their subcontractors either never showed to the job, or arrived late and left early. My family moved back into our home in September, with several items needing to be completed on a punch list. The list was provided prior to moving back home and then two more times subsequently during the holidays. It wasn't until after I filed a complaint with the better business bureau did the home get completed. The owner of the company drafted a letter for me to sign. I did not sign that letter and instead drafted my own. The letter drafted by the company is now being circulated to potential clients and the complaint with the BBB has been mysteriously removed.
