Hi Everyone, Yesterday I had occasion to visit US Dermatology Partners in Fort Worth. My appointment was with Tara Hall. Everything about the appointment was professional and first class. The receptionist was polite and welcoming. I was welcomed into my 10:30 appointment by Tara's assistant exactly at 10:30. I did the prelims with the assistant and Tara came in immediately afterwards. I see I am not alone in my experience with US dermatology partners in FW . My particular doctor was Breck Thrash. Both I and my husband went in there for a routine mole checks. He then proceeded to tell me that I had AKs on my face which I probably did, and he then started spraying me with liquid nitrogen before even explaining what he was doing ..liquid nitrogen is a freezing agent and of course it stung like hell afterwards. And then he proceeded to tell me he was going to do a biopsy on a knuckle pad that I pointed out that I've had for 20 years and he said he was just gonna take a little bit of it. He ended up cutting off the entire thing which went very deep. I felt him cutting it and I told him so he had his assistant give me more lidocaine but by then he had already completely cut through and I'm talking like a 16th of an inch thick layer of skin. The wound is terrible here. It is a week later and I don't know how it's gonna heal. I'm keeping it clean, but I don't know how it's gonna close up when he did it. It was as bad as big as a dime. If that wasn't enough, they put two Band-Aids on it and then when I get out to the receptionist to pay, it starts bleeding again profusely, I had to go back in the hedge to wrap my entire hand. I don't like being hornswoggled and I don't like being pushed into anything, but he also got us to agree to come back this winter for this blue therapy stuff which really just sounds like cosmetic treatments that we don't need. So I'm gonna be canceling that and I'm also gonna be telling me my general practitioner in Dallas not to recommend this dermatology facility anymore. Basically wreck thrash waltz into the room spent 15 minutes with me and then left his assistant to clean up the mess. We will never go back. Even if they were to call back and tell me that the " biopsy "" that he took is cancer, I won't go back to him. read more

I had an area of concern and was blown off about it by Dr. Durham on my first visit. Thankfully NP Smith took a biopsy on my next visit and diagnosed the skin cancer. Then I was scheduled with Dr. Marra for the Mohs procedure for over 2 weeks when they called 5 days before to tell me they were sending me to Dallas instead because he suddenly decided he was not okay with one of my preexisting conditions that we discussed in depth at my consultation. I even left him my specialist's direct phone number, but he didn't bother to discuss anything with him either. I am a nurse and a grad student in S. FW & I start clinicals in 2 weeks. Dallas is an hour drive for me at minimum and of course they couldn't get me in right away. Not only did they initially miss the cancer, but wasted my time & money and now I'm scrambling to get this taken care of before my semester starts (and I get to pay another $500 for another consultation because my insurance sucks). I do not recommend this clinic. read more

03/19/18 scheduled for biopsy at 9:15 with Dr. Marra. We are called back quickly. The last time we waited 30 minutes before we were called back and then took a while to see the doctor and he was in all of about 10 minutes telling us to come back for biopsy. So they numb her and have her done in 30 minutes telling us to return in 45 minutes. We drive 8 minutes away for a late breakfast only for them to call 10 minutes after we get to restaurant. I explain that they said 45 minutes. Do we need to come back? They say no okay to come back at 45 min. We come back 45 min later and now we have waited an hour for what should have been just sutures! So here we are an hour and 15 minutes later still waiting. In the waiting room outside the surgery room they have two other bandaged patients waiting to be sutured. As if we are all here waiting to pick up food! My advice if you value your time; go with another doctor and facility! read more

Do NOT use this Dermatology. Billing policies are fraudulent. I was charged $298 for a return/recheck office visit because my skin tag procedure was not successful. VERY disappointed when a business cares more about profits than their patient. read more

I saw Nancy Smith on 9/9 for an inflammatory skin disorder I've had for over 20 years which creates hard painful nodules on my legs. Since I wasn't diagnosed by her she wanted to do a biopsy... reasonable. I asked several questions in the office that day which were brushed off and straight up not answered. I am well aware this is a rare disorder and truly think she had no idea what it was because I was the one giving all the information during my appointment. Stupidly, I still had hope because I just needed help because my flare up was so incredibly painful I had daily pain just trying to walk. Horrible bedside manner that just showed she truly did not care. Nancy Smith also told the nurse not to schedule the follow up with her and have a nurse do it. Please tell me why I would go back in and not see her? Biopsy results would have already been back by then so she had no intention in trying to fix my problem. I was called a week later by the nurse to tell me I did not have this and had something completely different. While on the phone with her I looked this up that she told me I had. It looked NOTHING like my nodules!! Which she clearly knew because they took photos while I was in the office. I immediately started asking questions. None of which she could answer. She even told me it was a possibly the biopsy didn't go deep enough and maybe we should do it again!! I had to pay $160 to get this done and I would be responsible for the fee again even though they didn't do it correctly. I was asking basic questions for a patient who is just looking for some relief. She said she would follow up with me after speaking with Nancy and I NEVER got a call back. I also had an appointment a week after this phone call to remove the stitches from the biopsy and I didn't not go because they never even called me back. Did anyone reach out to see why I missed the appointment? No. I truly can't believe the positive reviews but I clearly just saw the wrong provider. Do not waste your time with her read more

I have been going to this practice for years, and have been really excited to try their hydro-facial they offer. On the phone with someone today, the first thing I was told when saying I was frustrated at a cancellation was that "she's human, you need to understand that, and things happen" as if my being frustrated implies I'm not human / understanding of that. They're not mutually exclusive. They book them pretty far out, so it was really hard to get in for one. Both times I have booked a month out, and both times I've been called the day before with a cancellation due to the esthetician having a family emergency. I totally understand things happen, but it's just frustrating as a customer to have this happen twice and three months apart. It also is difficult to hear someone tell you that you should be more understanding when it's also just as understandable that I would be frustrated having this happen twice. read more

Why pay money when they can't help you? I went to see dr. McCarthy. Two seconds in he says I can't help you I'll refer you to someone who can. His nurse (one of the rudest) who gives me a card for a doctor that retired ten years ago. I come back in and the front staff laughed at me when I showed them the card, even though I explained they were at fault. The front desk lady went to the back for three minutes to make fun of me. I heard her laugh and she proceeded to give me a card of another doctor with mis information. If you want to go to a staff that dosent care go here. read more

The whole process was quick and efficient. There was practically no wait time and I was diagnosed within a minute. I was able to get my prescription directly afterwards. I was seen by Kathryn Durham MD and she was kind and also answered all questions that I had. I left knowing exactly what I needed and the new routine I needed to have. read more

I see Dr. Thrash, and I am so glad I found him! I was initially impressed by his educational credentials, and have found him to be an excellent, knowledgeable doctor, and a delightful human being. My initial appointment was easy to make, and the wait times have been brief each time I've been there. Dr. Thrash and his staff are very good about explaining things, and in understandable terms, which is very reassuring. I have several skin issues, so I'm in there a bit. I used to see Dr. Durham a couple years ago. I went for hormonal acne and was already taking antibiotics from a previous dermatologist. She kept trying to convince me that my only option was to go on birth control. When I would explain to her that I could not go on bc for health reasons, she would always have an attitude. She acted like I didn't know my own records from my MD and would dismiss me. It made me very uncomfortable and upset that she acted like this. She basically told me there wasn't anything else she could do if I didn't go on birth control. She would always make comments that I didn't know how to take care of my skin properly. As if the hormonal acne was my own fault. Thankfully, I found a wonderful new dermatologist who actually listens to their patient. read more

Dr. Celeste Durham is hands down the best dermatologist I have ever been to. I moved down to Fort Worth from Kansas a few years ago and had been to several dermatologists for various skin conditions while living in Kansas My appointment with Dr. Durham went better than any I have experienced previously. She was thorough and efficient and explained things about my condition no one had ever told me before. I won't go anywhere else from now on. read more

I was easily able to get an appointment. Place is clean but looks more like an upscale boutique. Not only did I have to be rescheduled because the dermatologist had a meeting later that afternoon, she immediately recommended I be put on Accutane. After I told her that I would rather do another treatment, she then proceeded to prescribe me a $250/month medication (she didn't bother to ask me if money was an issue, I found out it cost that much through the pharmacy). She also saw me for a grand total of 5-7 minutes. Would not recommend the particular doctor I dealt with. Feels more like a business than a practice. read more

Called to make an appointment at 8:15am and told the receptionist I work in dallas so the latest appointment possible (4pm) would work for me. She assured me that as long as I got there before the 15 min late policy I would be seen. I called at 3:15pm to make sure whoever was working knew the situation. I told them I would be in by 4:08 according to the GPS. Called at 4:00pm again to tell them the gps says 4:13 and spoke to Erica who said I would be seen. Arrived at 4:15 and they said they doctor left. Even after I called THREE TIMES. Seriously the worst costumer service ever. I drove all the way from dallas only to be told the doctor left. I CALLED 3 TIMES. Dr. Nancy just left without considering her patient. Must be nice to leave work 40 min before the office closes. read more

It has been a few years since I last visited, but I will not be returning. I went with my mother to get a growth on her forehead checked out. It checked all of the boxes (Asymmetric, irregular border, color and evolving) for concern, yet all the dermatologist did was freeze it off without a second thought. It was not sent to a lab, nor was it examined for more than 20 seconds. It has since grown back, evolving in shape and causing more concern. My mother is a Hispanic Woman, and it makes me wonder if she were of a different sex or ethnicity, would she have been taken more seriously? Why is it that women of color have the hardest time being taken seriously, and why must we often fight for the the right steps to be taken concerning our health? It is frustrating that this growing spot is still causing her stress years later when there was a simple process that could have been done to remedy this anxiety. read more

Do not see Nancy, the nurse practitioner, if at all possible. If I had to rate her medical assistant, however, she would get 4/5 stars since she actually offered me samples and seemed to care more about my skin than Nancy did. First off, I was seen pretty quickly which is one of the few positives concerning my experience. Nancy's medical assistant took a pretty thorough history (which Nancy didn't even review since everything she was asking about about was on there). Nancy did not give a hoot about my skin, nor my reaction to the Differin gel regimen I just started. I was horrified when I awoke that day with dozens and dozens of bumps all over my face. Her response, much to my dismay, was "you've only been using it a couple weeks, it happens" and when I inquired about other acne regimens, which might be more sensitive, her response was, " Oh, there are hundreds" with a shoulder shrug. She didn't even examen my face. The other Yelp review from Howdy D that references her "apathetic nature" was right on point. Her recommendation for my skin woes? Cerave from Walmart and "time". She left the room without answering my other questions and concerns. In fact, when I probed further about different products or a regimen that might be geared towards sensitive skin, she referred me to the esthetician on staff. Maam, you are a DNP and you can't recommend topical treatments or even feign that you care about my needs as your patient? Abysmal, wretched, horrible... I will not return to this practice for ANYTHING. Spend your money on the actual Doctor who seems to have better reviews or seek treatment elsewhere. read more

Because the wait to see a doctor was weeks, I saw the nurse, Nancy. Not impressed. I've been having lots of skin irritations that breakout randomly over the past year, but since she couldn't see anything she declared it all dry skin and told me to take lukewarm showers and use fragrance free products. She was very apathetic and made it seem like I was wasting her time and then walked out of the room abruptly without giving me a chance to ask more questions. I was shocked when they charged $90 for that. Many lukewarm showers and fragrance free lotions later, I am still getting the weird skin rashes, and really irritated that I wasted my time and money at CSCD. read more

I came here to refill my eczema medication a while back and it was overall a good experience as doctors go. The whole place was very clean and inviting, and the receptionist was friendly. I had to wait a little while to see the doctor, but once he came in he was efficient and he and the nurses worked to ensure all my questions were answered and I felt well taken care of. I would be happy to return again next time I need to be seen. read more

I wanted to get Botox before I developed any wrinkles in my forehead. Dr. Malouf did my Botox and he did an amazing job. He made sure not to freeze my face, and I am thrilled with the results. Wanted to get lip filler but I had taken an NSAID so that was a no go. read more

My wife and I are really pleased with our annual skin care exams here. Our previous dermotologist spent only three or four minutes with us (after a really long wait) and seemed more interested in making money than caring for patients! (He was Dr C on Camp Bowie Blvd). Will not go back. Went for a new patient appt and check on a skin spot. Dr. came in saying she was way behind schedule and catching up. Quickly looked at spot and froze area. Told her I had sun damage in other areas and needed checked. She was in room total of 3 minutes, asked me to come back in a month for full body check. Charge was $200 and that was with insurance! $60 copay and then 2 sec procedure. No instructions on care of area treated no new patient check. If it was a flare up, could she have explained any options and if it was necessary or just cosmetic or if I had a choice, and cost of procedure? read more

Dr. Durham provided a thorough exam, answered all of my questions, and didn't try to "sell" me on any products. I am so happy to have found Nancy Smith, at Dermatology Associates. I have been to a few different dermatologists that want to spend a couple of minutes with me and then move on, always feeling rushed and uninformed. The reception desk was outstanding and the wait was minimal. Nancy Smith came in quickly and I immediately felt like she was there to answer my questions and address my concerns. She made me feel as if she had all day, and I know that wasn't the case. She knew how concerned I was with a spot I had in my leg. She sent it off and let me know the results as soon as she found out. I won't ever go anywhere else! read more

I have been having rosacea/acne on my face the past couple years, eye issues, hair problems and weird rashes on my chest and back. After extensive research, and seeing them with my own eyes (family members, too), I made an appointment with Nancy to see if I could get tested for demodex mites. When the demodex population gets out of control, they can cause serious skin, hair and eye issues if not treated! Nancy seemed arrogant and unwilling to address my demodex problem. In fact, she refused to test me after I asked for the test specifically. She seemed to be irritated with my knowledge about demodex and kept repeating "it is only a theory, maam". I understand that the clinic makes money off the products and procedures to "fix" skin issues...but, wouldn't it be nice to really know the cause of what you are dealing with? I left the office feeling ashamed and stupid for even mentioning my concerns. I will not give up on my venture to find the right doctor who will listen and be a positive experience for (not only my physical) but my mental well-being. read more
