Easy find and signed fairly well outside. Plenty of parking too. Inside it is your typical office area with cubicles and the covid addition of glass barriers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Appointment made about a week prior to coming in because it's required. Without an appointment you might as well walk back out the door[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the plus side, it was much easier to schedule here then it was with the City of Chandler.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Word has it the Post Office was four weeks out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We arrived maybe 30 minutes, give or take, prior to our appointment. And the appointment confirmation email does say to arrive at the exact time. This worked out fine because we needed to redo our paperwork[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. In the meantime our credentials were taken so copies could be made, we were given the appropriate forms and directed to the clipboards, took a seat to complete the new form(s). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The young woman that greeted us and provided the appropriate forms (DS-82 and DS-11) for us to complete, came by to check on our status, gave us back our IDs, and reminded us of the form of payment accepted for passport(s) we requested, what to include in memo, and amount of processing fee handled by ASU and who that needed to be paid.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Shortly after that we were invited to take a seat at Mr. J's desk (sorry, couldn't remember if it was Joshua or ...) where we went over more specific details, like verifying our passport photos were recent, passed over our cc's and personal checks, signed the application in his presence, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I inquired about turn around time and if it might be necessary to pay for expediting the process and he had us both convinced we would receive our passports within a reasonable period of time and not likely needing to pay the additional $65 for expedited processing. So we're looking forward to receiving our passport, the return of my old and expired passport card, and me with both passport and passport card -cuz why not?! before our upcoming trip. I was applying for a passport for a minor and we had brought her with us for the initial appointment and were told to come back with the correct money order but all of our paperwork was ready to go. They took photos of my daughter at the office and we were told that she did NOT need to come back with us to file all the paperwork since everything was just about finalized just needed to put in the computer and file and they already had photos. Got to the office today and was told that she did in fact need to be with us. Amazing experience!! Idk why I was nervous as a 32 year old women to fill out all these forms and not make a mistake but as soon as I arrived, everyone was kind respectful, very patient! I do recommend coming with your forms completed. Everyone arrived after us with their forms completed and was in and out while me and my husband was standing over to the side at a nice small table with extra clipboards and pens to complete our forms because I was nervous to do it at home and mess up as soon as I got there. But it was super simple super easy. We did take photos at home and printed them out and came with them. Mine is zoomed in more so you could see my hazel eyes and freckles like a selfie ‍ so it was not accepted which I had a feeling was going to happen so they took a photo of me and I was only charged $15 extra dollars. we paid extra for the expedite shipping & we signed our forms and the male representative then informed us we were all good to go. Great experience. 4/5 for miscommunication; an employee told me, over the phone, that birth certificate copies were acceptable. When I arrived at the office, another employee said it needed to be original copies. Thankfully, they let me run back home to grab the original. Went to renew my passport today with my boyfriend and the process was extremely easy. We went around 11am did not have to wait at all thankfully. The women working were very accommodating and were able to process both of our passport applications at the same time. We were in and out in about 10-15 minutes. Everything at the office is pretty much straight forward. The applications are available to fill out as soon as you walk in. The woman who specifically helped us name was Monica. She checked all of our documents as soon as we walked in to ensure we had everything before we proceeded. The actual passport book/card fees are to be paid in an exact amount in a check or money order. The processing fee is paid on a Visa or MasterCard. No cash is accepted. Prior to arriving, I read a few unfortunate stories about being turned away due to lack or insufficient documentation. If you do a bit of research and bring all of the items you need then you should be able to get your application processed very easily. I don't think I've ever gone a Passport acceptance office that was this quick, helpful, and basically not employing drones with no personality. Tip: they do not take cards for the processing fee! I had my checkbook with me and lucked out, otherwise I would have had to leave to get a money order. The entrance is a little hard to find, just look for the ramp next to the Kidney/Vascular office, it's right next to it. Wish I knew about this place years ago, and I'm glad I found it. I've been putting off renewing my passport since I haven't had any plans to go out of the country within...oh, the past TEN years. On top of that I was literally at the cut off for being able to renew your passport in the mail (date of issue has to be when you were 16 years or older, and I was 15 at the time...). I called around to four different locations that were nearest to me and two of them didn't have any appointments until a month out and the other two didn't pick at all. Luckily I looked up the website for the U.S. Passport Acceptance Office at ASU and it's a walk-in basis Monday through Friday 9am-3pm. I decided to head over around 10am just in case I had to figure out where the office was since I'm not at all familiar with ASU. It actually wasn't that difficult to find despite the fact that I couldn't see the suite 111 number at all. They have three complimentary parking spaces that are first-come, first-serve that are right across from the actual center/the reserved spaces for patients for the SKI Vascular Center. The office is small, but was pretty much empty when I got there. I only had to wait for a few minutes before I was helped. I had everything ready (with extras) to make sure the process was as painless as possible. The person who helped me was so nice and gave me on advice on what to do since I had a trip planned for exactly 6 weeks out. I ended up choosing for the expedited service which does cost more, but ensures that my passport will get to me in 2-3 weeks. (You have to write a check for whatever passport service you're getting, then pay with either a credit or debit card for the ASU processing fee (mine was $185.45 + $50). Overall waaaay easier than I expected this process to be. A+++ read more

Do not go! We showed up 8 minutes before posted closing time and the door was locked. Someone was gracious enough to open it for us, but a manager quickly ran over to us and just flat out said NO. She told us (with 8 minutes still left open for business) her whole staff had "places to be" and "a work event to go to". I get it. But don't you dare lock the door on customers during office hours and then tell us no. I pulled my son out of school for this along with taking the day off from work. I showed up on time! And all we needed was a signature! We are paying customers with a passport that needs being made immediately. You have now ruined and seriously implicated our international travel plans for our 6 year old son. Shame on you. read more

Let's just stick with the FACTS: The website reads "Hours of operation Office hours are Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Please arrive before 3:45 p.m. to allow for processing time.)" We arrived at 3:30pm with our ten month old and after waiting 20 minutes, at 3:50pm we were told we would not be served as per their hours of operation posted on their website (see above), and that we should return another time. We arrived prior to 3:45pm as asked and we were not served. _______________________ UPDATE/ RESOLUTION The office was receptive to feedback and remedied the situation by seeing us quickly and attentively the next morning. My phone calls and emails were responded to, and we were treated professionally at the office and in their office's correspondence. read more

Once I went to the location (per my gps/google map), it took me a few minutes to locate the correct door to the office. A very nice woman that worked in the building was outside, saw my confusion and directed me toward the side of the building that led me to the right place.
