I wish I could leave a negative star review. The "lady" (wish I could use another description) working today processing passport applications (who I understand is a fill in and not their usual processor) is one of the rudest, arrogant "entitled" government workers I have come across. Our appointment was at 1:15 pm, we arrive at 12:45 pm and another family that arrived at the same time as us with an appointment time of 1:30 pm gets called in before us for no apparent reason (perhaps our skin color was not the preference of the processor?). After waiting for another 20 minutes, she comes out and starts to review my daughters paperwork which we had diligently made sure was filled out completely and accurately. The processor claims we don't have a copy made of the back of her drivers license. We show her that we have two other forms of identification, her expired passport AND her birth certificate so the drivers license is not even required. In her rude manner, she states that is not the case and we must leave, get a copy made of the back of the license and return as "they don't make copies of anything there". We leave, check the website again to make sure we had a proper understanding of the required docs AND call the 800 customer service line for US Passports and are told that what we had brought to the Fredericksburg Post Office was indeed sufficient and we should not have been turned away. To think that my tax money contributes to the salary for such a rude and incompetent employee is infuriating but a prime example of the dead weight our government agencies continue to carry around. read more

I will leave feedback not that it matters. I've lived here 25 years and the last 2 years of service at this post office is absolutely atrocious. I receive the wrong mail at least 4 times a month. There are several days in a week when I receive no mail at all. Packages are left in the mailbox with the flag for days at a time. It was requested by my mail carrier that I schedule a pickup for packages left in the mailbox. 9 times out of 10 those scheduled pickups do not occur. Mail is left in the box for several days. I receive notices via email that my packages have been picked up and an hour later they are still in the mailbox so I know the post office is clearing pickups out of their computer system without even doing the work... ensuring that packages never get picked up. Leaving me to drive packages to the post office myself on a weekday which is a 45 min round trip that cannot be done over lunch. I had literally had it... and Covid is just an excuse they are using at this point. This was occurring at this post office years before Covid. This is a management issue. When approaching the actual post office I have encountered the rudest staff downtown that I have ever met. read more

I gladly pay any cost to avoid using this service and only receive junk mail in my mailbox at this point. Your postman who pitches mail on Sunny Meadows Drive, Fredericksburg (Spotsylvania County) is very error prone. Since 4-6 months ago, it seems the errors are creeping in. In 8 years I do not recall other carriers making this may in such a short time. Today the entire batch of delivered mail was not for our address but for a house three doors away. He was headed into a cul-de-sac and I caught him on his return and gave the whole batch back to him. He did not even act as if it was a big deal. I hope he is okay medical wise. I wonder if he made other mistakes today since that one was so blatant. read more

This location is the very reason why the Post Office is going out of business. Waited in line to get in, then was told to wait in a second line, when I got up to that window--the lady told me to go to the back of the line until she had seen her other customers first (I was getting a passport and tried to set up an appointment but couldnt because no one ever picked up the phone). When the other customers were seen, the lady told me it would be 3 weeks for an appointment to get a passport. I've found that Post Offices vary when it comes to customer service. This one was terrible and the people were rude. Go somewhere else, you'll be glad you did. read more

i arrived at my appointment 15 minutes early with all my documents and the lady immediately starts off with a terrible attitude talking down to me and my friends and tells us we needed photo copy's of our documents and refuses to do it even though it says on the website that they will copy them so we walk to city hall and the lady is super nice at city hall and gives us copy's but forgot to get the back of our licenses so we show up at the post office again with the copies and the lady actually yelled at me for not having the back copy and refused to allow us to get passports fuck you wilma read more

The woman who does the passport processing was extremely rude! We were early to the appointment with her to only come out to the lobby finally (about 30 mins after my scheduled time) and question if I even knew the time and location of my appointment. I showed her a confirmation email then said, oh yes, you are here (looking at some list she had in her hand the whole time). Other people were waiting in the lobby for later scheduled appointments to which she announced that everybody (yes, everybody) had to either go to the library or staples to make copies of their drivers license, front and back. Once back there, I noticed the photocopy machine right next to her desk (she could have easily accommodated a few copies). Plus, I was not even aware that a driver's license HAD to be used since we brought other approved IDs, according to the state department list. It was strange. As for the person who processed my payment for the passport, he was wonderful. His name was Anthony and even made a comment about how he had to go back to the passport lady because she did not fill the pay form out correctly. Horrible customer service! Spent over an hour trying to get through to their number but constantly rang busy. Then once I got through I asked to speak with someone to set up a passport appointment. The lady that answered was rude as hell. She was irritated that I was asking questions. I told her I would need to check my schedule and would call right back. On Thursday 7/5/2018 My husband and I responded to this post office to meet with someone in reference to an appointment I had made online to renew my children's passports. Upon our arrival we were met by Sharon, the only person at this facility in charge of inspecting and submitting the paperwork to renew passports. Upon Sharon approaching us, she had a disgusted look on her face and began talking to me with an attitude. Her attitude exuded rudeness and unprofessionalism of all kinds and our conversation had not even begun. She asked me if I had all the documents and I said yes and she asked to see them. Unfortunately, I didn't have the back copy of my license I only had the front. She began to nod her head, say "nope", tell me I wasn't ready or prepared. On the other hand, she was not willing to help or make the process easier. She raised her voice at me numerous times telling me I wasn't prepared and I needed copies and I needed to print my own passport application although it is provided at the post office. When I asked to give me her supervisors name and information she threw the paper with the information at me and shrugged as if me making a complaint wouldn't make a difference in her actions. She stormed away and told another postal employee by the name of Wilma that she should have known better (not sure what she meant by that)and walked into her work place through a door. She was rude, RACIST and unprofessional. Bystanders nodded their heads in disbelief and as for me and my family we will NEVER go to this location for any passport necessities. I'm hoping Sharon gets disciplinary actions because of her behavior towards me and my family. Her demeanor attitude, rudeness and racist behavior raises serious concerns to the public, this community and her role as a United States Postal Service Employee. If she doesn't want to work there, has had a bad day, or has racial preferences she should be trained to leave it OUT of her workplace. I hope this complaint is addressed and I receive a follow up on this complaint. read more

The Customer Service Woman as of November 2nd Is terrible. She only complies to the script out of necessity to keep her job. Rude woman overall and can't wait to hang up on you. Our normal postal lady is nice and We've never missed a package until they bring in a substitute. They don't take the time or care to even try to deliver some packages. Or walk to try to deliver it to your house. In my case, I was at my door the entire time and they just dropped a note into our mailbox and Left. Terrible. My normal postal person was out for the week and a new guy took her shift. For a whole week, I got no mail. Finally, was able to catch him on a late Thursday/Friday afternoon around 3:30pm delivering mail to our mailboxes. The normal carrier usually arrives between 11:30am -12:30pm. When I asked why I had not receive any mail, I was waiting on a letter, he asked what my box number was. I told him. He proceeded to tell me that no one lived at that address, so he had sent all the mail back. He said that there was no tag on the inside of the box, which he was told meant no one lived there. I asked him why did he think so much mail and packages were coming to house that no one live at? I then asked him why he would just send back mail and mark it that no one lived there and not bother to drive around the corner, which is how far I live from the mailbox to verify that the house was empty? Again, he told me how not having a tag on the inside of the box meant that the house was empty. I then asked him AGAIN didn't he find it curious that all this mail was coming to an empty house. After the carrier sent all the mail back, I had to get in contact with everybody who might have sent me mail. I have credit cards that stopped working because the carrier had put on the return mail that I had moved and no longer lived at that address. I took me almost a month to get everything cleared and convince everybody that I had not moved, nor was in intending to move. I called the main post office to report what this guy had done and the woman who came to the phone said that she wasn't his supervisor. His supervisor had gone home and that she would have her call me the next day. That supervisor never returned the call. Today, I was prompted to write this because I had a certified letter that they usually put the notice on your door, but they had stuck in with the regular mail in the box. I received a second notice yesterday, never saw the first one. I followed the directions to have the letter redelivered to my house today. The mail usually comes around 11:30a-12:30pm and it is now 2:30pm and I have no clue if the letter is late because the carrier is delayed or if it is even coming at all. Call the 800 number and after much hassle was able to schedule them to call me back in more than an hour's wait time. So, my day is spent waiting for this post office to get their act together. read more

I had the MOST disturbing customer service by two women who were very rude and unprofessional at this facility. I went in to pick up my mail that was placed on hold, as I lost my home, and they rudely told me that I cannot pick up my mail, (Which I put that I would pick up my mail at the facility when filling out form online), and that they would not allow me to fill out another form to hold my mail, nor help with a change of address. I also was told by one of the clerks that "I should have been put in a change of address." As someone who was homeless and did not have somewhere to call home, that was very rude and unprofessional for her to say not only to me, but in front of other customers. I walked out of your facility almost in tears. If this is the type of customer service that is tolerated and allowed, shame on your whole company. I understand that they are busy, but there are ways they could've went about the whole situation, instead of rolling their eyes and telling me what I should have already done. read more
