I wanted Gothic..... way, basement sklep, kitschy kind of Gothic, where, at every turn, I was reminded of the olden days of large steins of free-flowing pivo and Fred Flintstone like platters of pure meat...
And boy did I get it.. in the rain and all, after a splendid free Thursday at Narodni Muzeum, we walked from there along Vinohradska and turned left on Balbinova, only to dump a load of euros here for a dining experience that King Arthur himself would have given a head nod to.
Platters and platters of roasted meat on the bone, and much Budvar pivo to wash it all down *many Czech establishments will only feature 1 to 2 labels of beer*... you gotta bar hop in order to get the label you're looking for.
Expensive carnivorous offerings and whisked away to another world down here. Faux scrolls explaining the place and the decor... you'd either love it , or hate it.
I loved it, gobbled it all up, and wanted more!!!! This is the 2nd location; another somewhere nearby. read more
