Awful. I would give them a negative 100 if I could! Parked my truck, left the keys because the lot was full, came back to a flat tire. The guy said he didn't see it. Told me make sure when I call HQ, that I tell the truth. Truth that my truck was driven in fine, that I had the tires checked three days ago (and have receipts), and that it was on their lot with my keys in their possession? Call me anything, but do not call me a thief or a liar, especially when I'm trusting you to keep my vehicle in the condition I left it in. Needless to say, I have not parked there again. read more

Proof Restaurant valet was supposed to park in garage, but when I showed up for pick up it was already parked on street (don't know if it even made it into garage). Whether vehicle was either damaged on street on in garage, they took no responsibility nor gave me any insurance information. Had to use my insurance, total damage $4700. Not good! read more

Avoid this shady organization at all cost! Used this company's valet service to park outside Zengo restaurant on 7th street right next to the Verizon Center. Seems they parked my vehicle illegally and got ticketed. As if that wasn't bad enough they took the ticket off the window so the first I knew of the problem was when I got a bill for $200 from DC! $100 for the ticket and $100 for not paying it on time! I called DC and explained the situation and they were nice enough to remove the $100 alte penalty but still wanted payment for the original $100 fine. I called U street parking and spoke to one of the owners who said they would reimburse me for my ticket, but follow up calls and two ignored faxes later, they clearly hoped I would just go away. read more

Several months ago U Street Parking implemented an archaic online payment system. Over the phone they insisted that there is an option to set up recurring monthly payments, but in fact, that's not the case. Every month I must log in and pay my bill manually. This is even a step backwards from when we had to fill out an automatic payment authorization form and email it to them. How hard is it to set up an online payment system that actually allows for automatic monthly payments? Consistently terrible service, but every year they increase the monthly fee! read more

Horrific! If they can get zero stars I would give it to them! I had some friends come into town for Brunch. After parking they were told $10 to Park all day and after brunch when they were going to drop items off in their car they were told they need to pay an additional $20'until 6pm and then $10-$20 more from 6pm until midnight! Like, um, what?!? When I asked to speak with a manager or questioned the pricing it was a problem...! I say don't do it just find off street parking it is cheaper and you avoid such headaches like this... (we don't mind paying just need a set price up front not after the fact) !!!! read more

My experience with U Street Parking Valet services at The Park Nightclub was less than favorable. I attended a Sunday brunch there and decided to use the valet service for convenience because I needed to have access to my car quickly after brunch to make it to another event in Baltimore. I used the app to request my car and stood outside waiting for my car to arrive (along with my friend who was also waiting for her vehicle). Time is passing by and no cars are pulling up. The valet was only focused on parking more cars. The valet attendant walked past us several times, never making eye contact, and not responding as we called out to him to find out what the hold up was. We, along with other patrons waited over an hour for our cars. It was completely unacceptable and the lack of communication made it worse. The valet fee was $20. We definitely deserved a refund for that huge inconvenience. Oh and not to mention, this caused me to miss the 2nd event in Baltimore. read more

I attended a Juicy J show last night (March 6, 2014) at the Howard Theatre. My friend had a $15 pre-paid ticket to park in the Howard Self-Parking Lot A. A valet attendant directed us to a parking space in the lot and we parked (1840 7th street, NW) less than a block away from the theatre. When I returned to the car after the show, all of my belongings that were hidden in the trunk had been stolen. My purse with my ATM, healthcare, and retail cards and house keys; an overnight bag full of clothes, jewelry and makeup were all taken. They even stole my neckbrace (I was rear-ended the previous night). Ultimately, I lost over $600 worth of items. I filed a police report and then called the parking company listed on the parking ticket. The representative rudely told me that the parking company is not liable for any damages or stolen property while the car is parked on their lot. I also asked if the lot had any cameras monitoring the cars and why the valet was not watching the cars during the show and I was told there are no cameras. Why was the car left unattended? And why did the valet leave before the show was over? Could he be the person who stole my belongings? Finally, when I asked to speak to a supervisor, the representative told me that the supervisor was unavailable and took my phone number. If the theatre provides a parking service, then why do they not have cameras to monitor the cars if the valet won't be there all night? Why does Howard Theatre's website description of the parking lot say, "The Howard Self Parking Lot A is a safe, secure and well lit parking lot located less than 1 block away from the Theatre on the corner of 7th and T Streets, NW," if your car's safety is not guaranteed? THE VALET SCRATCHED THE WHOLE SIDE OF THE CAR!!!! This is a devastating experience. We came to DC tonight for the restaurant week and after a nice dinner at 701 restaurant. The valet service was obviously understaffed when it took 20+ min to get out car. There was a line of guests waiting for the valets to bring their cars. When we finally got out car, it was parked across the street (terrible service). After hiking across the street and before getting on the passenger side of the car, I saw the whole back door was scratched up badly. It was obvious the valet did it when parking our car in a nearby garage. When we talked to the valet, they were denying it and said it was already like that when we gave them the car... It was the MOST RIDICULOUS experience we've ever had. We had the adjuster to examine the scratch to prove the paint was a 'fresh' damage. This has killed all impression we had for this restaurant... If only ZERO STARS were available. First this parking lot is a scam. I parked there on a weekend where the sign clearly says, $10.00 for parking after 6:00p.m. on weekdays and weekends. When I left out on a Saturday into Sunday @ 1:30 a.m. they tried to up the charge to $20! I said that's not what your sign says!!! The attendant then told me it was $20 after midnight and there is NO POSTING of that. These people are scam artists and I have filed complaints. I even tried reaching out to the owner, but of course with a shady business like this one there was no response or returned emails. DO NOT PARK HERE!!!! They do NOT deserve business as they are very unethical and obviously take advantage. Money is the root of all evil and nothing will ever come good to those who cheat people! If it were possible to give less than a zero, U Street Parking would deserve it. Despite their cheery phone message about their outstanding customer service, they have the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I purchased a new apartment that came with parking managed by U Street five weeks ago. The first month's fee was paid at closing. They were to contact me about setting up an account or transferring the former owner's account for the monthly fee payment. They did not, two weeks ago I tried to do it myself on their website but was rejected. Then I started trying to reach their office. I have emailed, phoned, sent a message through their website and gotten no help. Twice when someone did pick up the phone, they hung up or in one case promised to respond later that day. That was a week ago. Do not use U Street unless you are forced to, as I am, because of our apartment building's contract. I could mail a check, but I have no confidence it would ever get to the right place and be credited to me since I don't yet have an account. Perhaps management will see this and act, or at least when they realize that my fees are unpaid they won't charge late fees. Or maybe they won't even miss it. read more

Your car has some value to you even if it's only for transportation and no cash value so I would not trust leaving it here with the poor customer service they offer. Parked at the U Street parking garage recently in Washington, DC while staying at the Marriott, Navy Yard. Parking attendant damaged my vehicle and company will not pay for the damage. Avoid at all cost. I let them valet my car which was in perfect condition. When I came back there was a huge dent on the front bumper and coffee spill on the driver seat. The valet guy tried to blame me for it even though I dont drink coffee and the dent wasnt there before. read more

Awful. No accountability. Picked up my car at one of their valet locations and the attendant took my key fob with him. I have a push start and my car wasn't able to alert that my key was taken as my husband was also in the car and had the spare on him. Called the next day and the service rep seemed attentive to locating my key fob which will cost over $300 to replace. They contacted the guy who worked the location and he said he couldn't find it. He was supposed to leave the fob in my car as every single valet in my experience has done. We should've checked to make sure it was in the car but we have never encountered an idiot who forgets to leave the key. Anyway.. service rep stated multiple times that he called to leave me messages in getting back to me. Lies. I reached out 3 times. He finally told me to email their billing department to initiate a claim. Haven't heard a word in 2 weeks. What if this was my only key fob and I had stopped somewhere else before going home that night? I'd be happy to change my review if I hear back but.. it's likely I won't hear anything so I'll be filing complaints and leaving reviews everywhere I can because I tried to be patient and kind. I am probably not the only one either. Before you ever park valet in DC find out if its U Street Parking. If it is.. KEEP DRIVING. Park a little further if you have to. Clearly this organization does not care about their customers when they make mistakes. They stay shamefully quiet hoping you just go away. As a business owner I would be ashamed if I knew how my employees were handling customer service inquiries. This is really a shady bunch. I had monthly parking with them for about two years, in which time the attendants gave me a hard time about what times I could come and go, there often were not enough spaces and no attendant so I would have to call, wait for someone to call me back, and then eventually give up on waiting and go hunt for a space in the neighborhood. Now, four months after I cancelled their service, they are still charging my credit card on a monthly basis. No one answers the phone and the voicemail box is full, so I've had to start disputing the charges through the credit card company. These folks are a DISASTER. read more

I live in a Condo complex that just switched the management of our parking garage over to U Street Parking. The condo I live in shares a parking garage with the Marriott Courtyard. I have tried to reach out to the owner of the company on several different occasions and NEVER have received any correspondence back. Fast forward 2 months: My room mate has had her locked bike stolen from the underground "monitored" parking garage and today we discovered that one of the hotel cars was broken into- Windshield smashed to pieces with glass inside this poor person's car. I'm sorry but can someone please explain to me what type of management this is?! The tenants of the condo pay upwards of $195 a month to park their cars in a 'secured' area. There isn't one thing secure about this arrangement. I'd have better luck accruing parking tickets on the streets of DC and at least being certain someone will see and report any foul play. U street parking does absolutely nothing. Don't let the manager's shnazzy suit, meet and greet breakfasts with false promises and fake handshakes fool you. He will give you a business card, which has an email address he doesn't respond to and a phone number he won't pick up. But the best part of this EVER is that U Street Parking sent out a "tenant" letter telling us all the cool, nifty stuff they are going to do to make this the best parking garage ever, and in that same exact letter they also tell us that if we don't park in the right spot we will get towed, or if we lock our bikes to any secure place that isn't a designated "bike spot" they they will cut our locks and dispose of our bikes. I had the most horrifying experience yesterday, September 14, 2012 at 6:30pm when I left my car with a valet agent in a red vest who works for U Street Parking in front of Ulah Bistro (on U street). I left my walet in the glove compartment and when I returned to pick up my car Bank of America called, text and emailed me that there was irregular activity on my credit card. Someone tried to charge $200.00 to a target store in California and $50.00 to an old navy store. Bank of America said both transactions were declined because they were using the wrong zip code (the zip code on my drivers license). $50.00 cash was also taken from my purse. I had to cancel all my credit cards etc. Unless you are going to remove all your vlauables from the car (and I mean everything you care about), then please do not let these people park your car.
