I've been here a few times and always got a decent manicure (gel, powder, or regular) and a pedicure. Unfortunately the last time I went I got a gel manicure and the filed my nails down so much they're now paper thin. They're so bad that I've not been able to get my nails done because the gel polish just peeled off. Sadly, that wasn't the worst part! After getting a pedicure there, I got a fungus. I know things happen, but I've been getting my nails done for a solid 25 years and have NEVER gotten a fungus. That was the final straw for me. read more

Me and my two girlfriends came without an appointment. They started 2 out of the 3 of us immediately. I unfortunately had to wait 20 minutes but I wasn't in a rush so it was no big deal. I would recommend calling before you go, just to see how long the wait is for what you are looking to get done. I got a gel manicure for $30. They only asked me once if I wanted to upgrade to powder mani or pay extra for nail care. I told them no and that was that. The job they did was excellent. I've been going to u2 for years and I've never had a bad experience until recently. The last 3 times I've gotten tips done they have been terrible. One set popped off within 3 days, this last visit the man who did my nails was very rough, he filed the top of my nails down so much that it ended up down to the flesh. On top of that every nail is a different length and all of them are crooked. Needless to say after years of going I will have to find another place. read more

Took my 2 daughters there, yesterday afternoon. We got pedicures ($45 each) and all 3 of us had gel manicures. Everything had an up charge for certain polishes, even for pedicure. All 3 of our gel manicures are already lifting/chipping not even 24 hours later. My 1daughters gel manicure is "bumpy" like they didn't take off the old gel completely. Final bill was $268 before tip, that's about $30 more per person vs other salons. I've never had a gel polish not last at minimum 10 days. Never again read more

AWFUL!! I got a gel manicure and it discolored within 2 days. Mani and pedi was a rip off. I'll never go back here again, when I asked one of the women how much it was for my mani and pedi she was very nasty. Don't waste your money here, when there are so many other options. Unfortunately had a really bad experience here. I showed a particular design I wanted which they said they could easily do. The nail tech kept having to call the owner over because she couldn't do it which is fine but not if the final result looks terrible. I ended up asking them to redo it which they said they would the next day and the owner said no it would take too much time once I got there. They just painted over it... will not be back. My nails were so thick from the gel and I could have done a better job at home. read more

This salon has been around for a long time, my mom recommended it to me before they moved years ago. I always have perfect nails done to my liking when I leave there. I also love their later hours on certain days, especially the extra days they're open in the summer. I have been coming to U2 nails for a very long time. I've always pushed through my negative feelings because I believed they gave the best manicures around.... I was proven to be incorrect. Today I went for a simple gel powder and after telling the man doing my nails MULTIPLE times I don't want tips under the gel powder he finally did them without the tips. I asked him to cut them and file them to be round. He cut my nails so short and filed them all uneven. I left almost in tears because they were so short and awful looking. As a long term customer who has put up with always being charged a different price for the same thing every time, rude workers, and not great service; I am fully done with this nail salon. read more

I've been coming here for 10 years and Sophie and James are so wonderful. I have a service dog and they absolutely adore her and I've never had an issue bringing her. So I stopped in here today to get a gel manicure and a pedicure. My bad for not asking prices but I figured almost all the salons are in the ball park - or should be. My pedicure was no great thing, should have gotten the basic. I went one step up for $35 but then I was charged $10 for callus removal and she literally spent 1 minute on each foot buffing them - I could have done this at home in the shower. On top of it, $3.00 for some clear coat - which is ridiculous, that should be included. As the callus removal should be included with a $35.00 pedicure charge. LASTLY, they charged me $60 (yes S-I-X-T-Y) dollars for a gel manicure Cat's eye polish. Insane, I was shocked and paid it but I'll never come back here again, ever. Rip off. Go to Blossom NY or Blue Sky in Greenlawn and get the same Cat's Eye gel manicure for $36.00. Shame on you. Very disappointed in this salon read more

I get gel powder manicure usually and if I really want to treat myself to a great and soothing pedicure the Rose Water pedicure is the way to go with the 10 min massage on each leg and hot stones. This is not a review on the quality of the manicure but on the pricing and treatment by the man who runs the place. I brought my disabled brother who does not clean his nails for a manicure. I asked the man what is the price for a manicure and he ignored me. I thought what the hell, I have brought my brother to two dozen places and never regretted the price, and let him get the manicure. He waited 10 minutes with his hands on a pad while men and women were walking in and out of different doors. Eventually, a woman gave him a nice manicure. When I went to pay the man said it was $20!! I think this is a ridiculous price but the man said that is the price for a man's manicure. We will never go back there. read more

This has been my go-to salon for the past few years now. They do a nice job, and the prices are reasonable. It's $15 for a basic pedicure, and $7 for a basic manicure. The spa pedi runs $25, and this will get you callous removal, extra scrub/exfoliation for your legs, and some extra massage time for your feet and legs. I usually pick the basic option, but once in awhile, it's worth the extra $10. The owners are very nice. This place does tend to get very crowded, especially on the weekends - even if you have an appointment. So in my opinion, avoid it on the weekends and seek it out midweek post work, where you're liable to get seated right away. I can't speak of any other services other than the ones listed, as I've never gotten waxed, fake tips, or any other services at a nail salon, but I have seen plenty of others when I am there getting various services. I know they also offer gel manicures, but haven't tried it yet myself. All in all, this is a nice little place in the Northport area worth checking out. read more

If you want gel tips or manicures, then this is the place for you. If not, be prepared to get harassed repeatedly on why gel is so much better. If you say no, they will ignore you and keep asking. Their nail work is average and they were aggressive when putting on acrylics (cutting up my fingers), making the entire experience painful. I will not be going back anytime soon. read more

Horrible service, extremely slow. We had to wait over 45 mins EVEN WITH an appt. Ultimately we had to walk out and find another solution. This is not the first time I've experienced this here. By far the worst nail salon I have ever gone to. You sit and wait for like a half hour. Every time I go to a nail salon, I get either acrylic sets or gel sets. Once I had asked to get an acrylic set. They would not stop harassing me to get the gel set until I finally said to them "I'm not getting a gel set. It's out of my price range. Thank you". Now, I am not a person who likes to be aggressive in those situations. I always give women who give a hard time like that a dirty look because it's disrespectful, rude, and not to mention you look like you walk around with a stick up your ass and that you're better than everyone else. But, it had to be done. After I had said no, I don't speak their language, but I'm pretty sure they weren't saying nice things about me considering how they kept nudging their heads towards me and looking at me. Made the mistake of returning here.. Tired of being harassed to upgrade a regular pedicure?? That's all I needed and wanted. It was done extremely quick and the employees definitely talk amongst themselves about you. That in itself is extremely rude and they do it continuously?? After all they're still more expensive than other places? I paid $22 for a pedicure including the $2 charge for quick dry? Give me a break? The pedicure in the long run was horrible and the polish chipped after a week? It's the winter.. My feet are in socks and closed shoes?? I have found a lovely place closer to home.. Maybe not as fancy but who cares. I pay the same fee for a mani/pedi without being harassed and the woman are all very pleasant! I'm sorry for returning to U2 and giving them too many chances to redeem themselves.. They're not worth the extra gas and should stop acting like they're doing you a favor..
