I have been coming here for a long time, but not again. my husband got me a gift certificate which expired in 6 months from the date he bought it. I did not notice it was expired and I went in the salon 2 days after the expiration date and they would not honor it. I still had $66 left on it. I was so disappointed. Cathys is usually my choice for pedicures but I've found myself gravitating toward them for acrylic tips since my grandmother began going in for hers. Everyone here is friendly and even with the mandarin/ English language barrier, they make sure to meet your needs every time. Jack is my go-to nail tech; not only is he patient with my tedious request but his post-session massage is always on point. As far as ambiance, Cathys has got the Chinese high priest hall theme down to a T. If you're like me and visit the bathroom of every establishment you visit then Cathy's restroom is no disappointment. Some would say Cathys is overly priced with a new set at $28 and an extra charged for custom shaped nails but you receive a full ROI ( Return on Investment) for the spa treatment -manicured cuticle, filed nails, tips personally shaped, oiled and massaged hands and a hot towel press and shoulder massage. I needed a new nail place to go to now that I moved and I decided to try this place, what a mistake. My nails were all bumpy, the paint job is TERRIBLE. I hate my nails right now, it felt extremely rushed and the lady doing my nails was talking on the phone the whole time, really disappointed to have spent $60 on this. Went for a soak off. Charged me $25 because it was builder gel and they had to use the drill to buzz it off my nails... didn't get anything else done. I just have never paid that much for a soak off it's a little ridiculous of a price. Seemed okay when it came to being sanitary. Sprayed my shoes and gave me sanitizer. I can't believe this salon has not been rated yet. My grandmother actually put me on to this spot. My grandmother nails look fabulous and I asked her where she got them done at. She informed me of Cathy's and how Jack the nail technician was amazing. She also informed me it's in Brentwood in the parking area where the new Wendy is located. I was a little turned off that I would have to be in that area, but hey what's the worst that can happen. When I walked into Cathy's I was amazed on how gorgeous the inside is and how very welcoming the staff are as well. Everything is clean and well organized. Lisa who did my feet did an amazing job, she wasn't to rough or gentle with my 15 min massage. When I had questions about certain polishes or if they had something Cathy was very informative, which I like. I had a spa honey and lemon pedi, good price $34.00 I just think spa pedicures should have the callus remover included not separate, we all know spa pedis are little pricer. Jack who attended to my brand new set of acrylic nails did such an amazing job, I'm speechless! Usually I get annoyed or nervous about trying new techs because you have to show them how square you like the nail or how skinny you want the nail to look natural and etc. I know for a fact that I'm picky I need skinny nails ( not so wide on nail bed) and very coffin. I told jack that I wanted round like my grandmother and he said nooo you need coffin, ok sure hell yea I do! He was extremely gentle, he knew exactly how I wanted my nails and hands to look. I didn't have add my opinion in. I kept saying wow jack this is amazing, oh my jack they are beautiful. He also nipped off dead cuticles or skin around the nail (mind blown) usually I have to ask for that done from other nail techs NOT HIM! I came here for a manicure during my lunch break. The salon is super clean which I love because it's rare to find a clean sanitized salon around this area. My wanted my nails to be round and the lady knew exactly what she was doing, she was quick and efficient. The only thing I would say is that I hated the paint job, I felt she rushed the painting and there were bubbles all over my nails after I left the salon which felt like a waste of manicure. But I do want to come back and give this salon another try since they did a decent on cleaning up my nails. read more

This salon cancelled my appointment 10 minutes before the appointment time. I had booked this place through a third party app that the salon is registered with, and they cancelled my and my friend's appointments to get us to pay with cash or Venmo (and a greater cost). This is absolutely the worst nail salon there could be. The men there are so rude! The manager, Jake supports his employees treating the customers like garbage. I went to get a regular gel manicure, the man helping me constantly rolled his eyes at me. Gave me literally 30 seconds to select a color. Was extremely aggressive doing my nails and hurt me. He was burning me with the drill and he wouldn't stop until I moved my hand. I told him very nicely that he was being a little rough because I didn't want to start an issue. And he rolled his eyes. I asked him to please treat me with respect as I was treating him. Throughout the whole time there I couldn't even ask him a question because he was just absolutely NASTY with me. At the end my nails came out horrendous and I asked him if it was possible one more coat to even them out and he rolled his eyes and told me I was being dumb. At that point I lost it and reminded him that he needed to treat all customers with respect because he gets paid because of the people that go in there like myself. the owner Kim, she screwed me over. i made an appointment in advance, 2 days before for 2:45. the day that i come, i came an extra 10 minutes early to save time. i waited till 2:45, and waited another 30 min because she was busy doing someone else's nails from since i walked in. 45 min had passed and she tells me i have to wait a little longer and takes in another lady that came in AFTER me. she said i have to wait another half hour, and it's already been 45 min and i'm waiting in line. that is exactly how you lose a customer for good. i've been going to this salon for such a long time, never have experienced this, and they really need to respect their customers. i had no where to go and had to get my nails done for the next day. This nail salon is nice, my only complaint is that they don't have the automatic drill to take off gel polish when getting a pedicure.

The staff is friendly and welcoming! I've gone for pedis and have never been disappointed. $20 is about the going rate for a pedi, they use new files each time and the color selection is nice. Very sanitary and they use liners every time . Each time I've gone has been without an apt and they have accommodated me without waiting much. On Mother's Day I was gifted a necklace.
