I got my nails done on the 21st in the early afternoon. It honestly didn't start out the best. The lady didn't give me a manicure, barely filed. I had asked her for dip tips. When trying to put on the acrylic tips, the glue wasn't sticking and the nail kept coming off. She blamed it on my oily nail. Yet my nails were super dry from the filing. I told her that it was okay, to instead simply do a gel manicure if it was too much trouble. I just wanted something simple and clean. She insisted that she would do it for me. I am super patient since I had a little time and told her okay sure. So she tried again and slowly but surely they were drying and staying on. I should've honestly told her to stop. The nails weren't really shaped properly yet she did fix it towards the end. At the salon my nails looked great. On the drive home I noticed that one of my nails had looked like it was opaque which shouldn't have been the case because not only did I see 2 clear coats on but at the end. The lady cleaned each of my nails with a dry paper towel with no residue. It was unusual but I didn't see any smudge. I was hugely mistaken. Most of my nails once dry and lotion free, had spots of opaque, as if something took the clear coating off of my nails. I was extremely disappointed. I couldn't go back because I wouldn't haven't had enough time to head to work. On my way to work, a couple of hours later, I noticed my index finger had chipped and was crooked. I ended up filing the nail down since I had no choice. I couldn't make it to the nail salon within the next couple of days since I work as a flight attendant and I'm usually away for 3-4 days at a time. Today after 5 long days of work, which is Day 8 of having my nails done, this is how they look.. I can honestly say this is the worst manicure I've had in years. 2 stars for trying but definitely not worth the price plus 20% tip. read more

I'm new to to the area and have been looking for my new regular salon. Every two weeks I have been trying different salons from Kings Park to Commack. I think I can finally say I have found one I will be turning to. I am very picky about nail salons, and I look to see if they are doing things how my other salon (New Babi Nails in centereach) did, as I feel like they were the cleanliest and most professional. This is the list of things they do that got 5 stars out of me and I hope this list makes it easier for other people to make their decision easier when looking for a salon. 1. They're clean, they take the tools out of the sanitized package right in front of you. 2. They use liners in the pedicure tubs. 3. They replace the callus remover after every use. 4. They actually remove calluses and don't just scrub your feet weakly. 5. They have so many polish options (even gel)- it's almost overwhelming. 6. They are reasonably priced. The gel manicure was $25 and pedicure with callus remover and 10 minute foot massage was $33. 7. Staff is friendly 8. Decor is updated and fresh, makes the place seems more with the times. 9. Staff seems to dress in uniform, not actually uniforms but white shirts and aprons- this just makes it feel more professional but not very important. 10. They play actual music (it seems the day I was there I heard 2000's pop music) and not those annoying flute melody's that most salons think are relaxing but it actually drives me nuts (I might be alone on that opinion.) read more

Nice place, great service (on a Sunday morning!!) and very reasonable prices... What more could you ask for?!? I just about NEVER splurge on mani-pedis; this was a gift from my sister-in-law. If I still lived on LI and could get this level of top notch service (and there are ZILLIONS of nail salons all over, wow!!) I'm guessing I'd become an addict!! Not quite as common here in the boonies of Ohiooooooooooo (they're here, but double the price, and not nearly as good...!!) so it's a rare treat. I do always secretly feel slightly guilty about the "poor soul" forced to slave over my icky feet, but it is what it is, I guess... He did a great job, and my feet (and the rest of me) were quite happy!! Quiet, relaxing place, AWESOME chair massage, great "extras," even for a basic pedicure (and they really don't try too hard to get you to spend more for the "top shelf" treatments, which is nice...) Had the most wonderful experience at Cinderella Nails today. After moving to Commack 1.5 years ago I've gone to several places. Never getting THAT feeling of decent pedicure but not wanting to return. Today boom it happened. Clean, polite, excellent service. Ladies were wonderful and Ange was beyond lovely. The foot massage was spot on and chairs were comfortable and relieved stress. I wanted out with incredible toes and that feeling of wanting to go back ASAP!!! Been on the fence about Cinderella Nails, the manicures have always been mediocre, regular ones chip the next day and the gel doesn't last longer than 8-9 days. Their manicures are $10 and gel manicures are $25 so both are reasonably priced. They have endless amounts of color options for both gel manicures and regular, their selection is definitely larger than other salons I've been to lately. A color for everyone. While all the products in the world sound great and all, when someone is standing at your side while you're trying to pick out a color, rushing you, it takes away from all of the colors they have because there's nothing more annoying than someone standing at your side asking if you're ready yet while you're trying to pick out a color. Came in this past Thursday around 530 pm and asked if they had time for a regular manicure, which they did. The place was packed, usually the sign of a well run place in my opinion. Immediately went over to the wall with all the colors and began checking them out. Had one blue in my hand and was clearly looking for another color. A woman came to my side and asked if I was ready and I said I was still looking. 8 seconds later, the woman was still at my side and said, "Ready now?" Well, if I was ready, I probably would have walked over to you and said I'm ready and presented with a color, but it was a dead giveaway that I was facing the wall with the colors, still picking out which color I wanted that I wasn't ready yet. 10 seconds later, she asked again!! Clearly she was becoming inpatient and it was rude. I would have SO much rather she move onto another customer so I could finish finding a color that I wanted if she was in that much of a rush. It started the entire manicure off on the wrong foot and that was just the beginning of the problems. Had four nails with gel manicure left on them from my previous gel manicure. The woman doing my nails filed my nails down to absolutely NOTHING, then started to do my regular manicure before taking off all the gel polish!!!!! I was like, hold up, there is still gel manicure left on the corners of my nails, to which my girl replied, "No its clean, it's good." To which I replied, "No it's actually not good and not clean, there is still polish from the last manicure on my nails!" I wanted to get up at that point and leave because I was so beyond irritated how rushed the manicure was, angry she tried to tell me there wasn't polish on my nails where there was and annoyed that she filed my nails done to absolutely nothing. She went back through my nails and ended up taking all the gel off (there were FOUR nails with polish on them still.) The manicure job was one of the worst I've had and I'm not just saying that because of her rushing through, I'm saying that because as I look at my one day in, already chipped nails, there are bubbles galore that were present immediately after she finished the manicure, the nail polish is on my skin and some nails are so uneven the polish looks slapped down and messy. The girl was definitely annoyed I asked her to go back and actually remove the gel polish before slapping on another coat because the massage she gave me while drying my nails was almost offensive and the girl sitting across from me drying her nails gave me a look like, "The heck is she doing to your back." Additionally, the girl across from me and her mother were talking about how upset they were with their manicures and how rough the women were being with both of them. A nice space with endless amounts of colors does nothing for me if you don't have kind patient staff who does a good job with the actual service. read more

I'm super annoyed right now. I am going on vacation this week and wanted to have my nails done for the trip. I went in on FRIDAY to get a gel powder manicure. It's MONDAY and the polish is cracking! It took the woman almost an hour and a half to do my nails because she kept having to fix them because the powder looked sloppy. My nails are shaped nicely, but I will not be going back. I spent $40 on this manicure. I will now have to wait until I get back from my vacation to get my nails done AGAIN. There goes another $40 out the window. read more

I am extremely picking with nail salons because I have short nails and I typically always get acrylic new set whenever I go. Without a doubt, the people that work here are the most sweetest people I have ever met. They know exactly what they are doing and make you feel so loved and like a friend. Their prices are typical nail salon prices. I had a bad experience at a different nail salon and they immediately took care of my and fixed my nails and gave me a discount because I was really upset about how the other store did my nails. They are great!!! They get great business and have such a large variety of colors regular and gel. Faith and her husband are the sweetest and know so much about what they are doing! I went to the salon TODAY to get my nails done an hour and a half before my 5 o'clock shift and I ended up leaving at 4:15 without getting my nails done because they took two people who walked in after me. I really wanted to like this place but after developing a painful cuticle wound from the manicure I will never be back! I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years and have never run into this issue in the past. The cuticle the manicurist cut was mangled/inflamed for 2 weeks. Originally just wanted a fill in on the nails I already had and the woman doing my nails insisted the ones I had on were "not good" so ripped them off and ended up having to pay for an entire new set. I asked for coffin shape and she had no idea what I was talking about. She ended up giving me oval nails which I didn't want. I have no idea regular manicures are here but absolutely do not recommend if you want tips. read more

Faith and James, the owners of Cinderella Nails at 568 Larkfield Road #A East Northport, NY are nice people, but they made a huge mistake when they hired Ana. Ana is the Department of Health's worst nightmare. She never washes her hands in between clients. She was massaging a customer's feet and I asked her to put the quick dry on my nails and, instead of washing her hands, she took my bottle of quick dry and put the drops on my nails. When this lack of hygiene was brought to her attention, she got angry, took my bottle of quick dry and wiped it off. On another occasion, I was her first customer at 9:30 and there were nail clippings on the paper towel on her table left from the night before. She proceeded to do my manicure on this dirty paper towel. I took the paper and shook the clippings, she, then, grabbed the paper and snarled at me like a vicious lion. I said, look, I am a client, a lady and not a pig. Your table is not sanitary. I spoke with James about the two incidents and that I wanted an apology which I never got. Ana is combative, never says good morning and does not show any signs of civility. read more

I love this nail salon. That is really saying a lot, because I've been to basically every nail salon within a 10 mile radius of East Northport and disliked every one of them. This salon is clean, the nail techs are very nice and they do a good job. I also like how they don't try to up sell you on any service. None of my nails are even, they're all shaped weirdly and aren't uniform. They are completely botched. I'll give them 2 stars since the nail technician is not who I have I major gripe with. I paid for my service back in August with a partial credit for my manicure using the punchcard for being a frequent customer. I had accrued a free manicure and I got a pedicure with additional charge . When I was wrung up the technician said it didn't go through and swiped my card again. I never checked until recently (tax season) the credit card statement that I was charged twice. I thought, a mistake was made and I'll print up the statement and show them at Cinderella. The technician up front immediately refunded me the money to keep things quiet. The technician after asked me to leave the statement with her and my phone number. I did and the male technician/ owner called me and denied that this charge was them and denied everything about the charge- not the same location/ charge. Then he pretended he couldn't hear me and hung up. He then called me back and I didn't pick up. He left a message that "call him back or else he's calling the police ". I realize that he was trying to save face in front of the customers there. I was a frequent customer that they lost and I'm telling all of you- Check your statements with this shady owner. read more

The salon is nice the people aren't. I made a huge mistake going here, but didn't really have a choice my salon is closed Mondays and I needed my nails done today. I've been getting my nails done the same way for 12 years I've never had a problem, gel manicures are very common it shouldn't be rocket science at this point, the woman scoffed at a tip she was given by another customer who just finished drying and was visibly pissed off that she didn't give her more and then carried the attitude out throughout my service.... telling me my nails are too long and that's the reason she messed them up?! I'm now seeing the ones she "fixed" she didn't put a clear coat over the top and they are already dull looking, hasn't even been an hour /: the boy they have giving massages while you're having your nails done was sweet and did a really good over the top job. For his 5 minutes I gave him a big tip. Her not so much I was barely comfortable paying the $25 for the "Work" she did... I can see why they other customer tipped low. When I walked in I was not greeted like I would have expected to be or even acknowledged as to what I wanted done. The place was close to empty. When I finally was asked what I was looking to get done a few minutes after sitting down I responded with powdered gel and got no response back from her acknowledging she even had availability. I had one person take off my nail polish. Then one who rushed through the powder part of my nails to rush over to someone with an appointment. She only prepped one hand and not the other and there are little gaps of space where she didn't cover with the powder. Then I waited about 15 more minutes for finally someone to come over and finish filing and finishing my nails after the powder was already on my nails. She did a good job fixing all the other ladies errors. When we complained about the situation we were told it was "saving me time" and he didn't even apologize or discount it or anything. I would have much rather have waited the 15 minutes it would have taken for the other girl to do my nails start to finish. Needless to say I'm finding a new nail salon! read more

I'm hesitant on writing this review bc I feel like the more people that find out about this place the harder it will be to get in! I've been to countless nail salons & this is one of the best that I've been to. They offer several brands of gel here. Shellac is the only brand that somewhat lasts on my nails. Every other place that I've gotten shellac at, they chip within days of getting my manicure (supposed to last 2 weeks) I got shellac done here & it lasted for almost 4 weeks!! Actually, It was hard taking the polish off. Any other place, the shellac peels right off when it comes time to taking it off. Not only do they do the right thing when it comes to their products (i.e. Not watering them down) the place is super clean. I go to Kay & she's super friendly & engages in conversation. There's nothing worse than going to a nail salon & the manicurist are only talking to each other, in their own language, more than likely about you!! The only thing that I haven't experienced in this place that other places do are massages when done. Every other place I've been to gives you a massage either during or after you've gotten you're manicure & I've yet to get one at this place.
