Uber has gotten worse and worse over time. Not only have their prices continued to go up for simple rides but the drivers have become ruder, less speak even enough English to be able to appropriately help if there's an emergency (yeah kind of important) and some of the cars people drive should barely be able to be on the road. At the very least a driver needs to be able to communicate basic English (the overwhelmingly spoken language in the US) so if there's an emergency they are able to notify the proper authorities and/or assist. When you aren't able to communicate with someone, especially someone you are paying for a service and that service involves something dangerous, like driving, it not only takes away from the customer experience which has only gotten worse with uber but it does not make the rider feel safe. I've also had drivers cussing on the phone with their boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife and just honestly being terrible at customer service. How are these people vetted? I've been in cars where multiple warning lights are on, there's noise coming from under the hood (not good noise) and quite frankly I have no idea how they are even on the road. One car had their child lock on the back doors, not remotely safe. Drivers who have literally been blasting their music, wildly inappropriate lyrics and loud (but I guess we don't care about common decency anymore) then when asked to turn it down I was told this is my car you can do what you want in yours. It's just gotten to a point where I'd almost rather take Lyft or a Taxi over Uber. At least with a taxi if you aren't able to communicate with them they are at least professional drivers. read more

Disappointed. I made a reservation for a pickup from my hotel to the airport in Yellowstone. I was confirmed. On the day and time of pickup, I received a text message from Uber that they could not find a driver. I had to request a taxi instead but only after discovering that Uber does not service Yellowstone. I have never had an issue with Uber that after getting confirmation that they don't service an area. They should have not allowed me to reserve a ride if that is the case. It made for a very anxiety driven time. I do love Uber but not today. Please make sure when booking a ride that they do cover the area and Uber, shame on you for allowing the reservation in the first place. read more

I have used Uber probably 20 or so times in Denver. Most of the times the experience has been very good. However, my last experience was terrible: The car was a beater. Multiple cracks in the windshield; needed a new muffler; no interior lighting, and the driver spoke little to no English. I had a great deal of difficulty even communicating where she was to let me off. I travel weekly and usually Uber where ever I travel. Always had polite and professional drivers. WHAT A DISASTER TODAY! I reserved a reservation for pick up at my residence to the airport for a flight. I was supposed to get a confirmation of the driver and plate number 30 min before pick up time. That didn't happen. So 15 min out, I call customer service. Absolutely WORTHLESS. Deciphering through the very broken English, she said the driver is coming and couldn't help me further and hung up on me. I called back. The second CS person, with even less English fluency, told me the same thing then hung up on me. Third time! Stayed on the line as the pick up time came and went and it wasn't until then that I received a notification from Uber that at they couldn't find a driver. Ask for a supervisor. Nope. Ask to file a complaint. Nope. What I got was "Sorry for the inconvenience" and empty platitudes. What I needed a ride to the airport. What the heck, Uber??? An "inconvenience" is 5-10 minutes late. Standing me up for a ride with no warning causing me to miss a flight for a business meeting cost me money! What I didn't need was every CS rep telling you the driver is coming only to No-Show! Up until today, 9/9/24, I have not had an issue with this company which I use primarily for medical transportation. The drivers were always either early or on time and friendly too. I book rides well in advance. I had booked a ride last month for my trip to St. Anthony's hospital in Lakewood. My reservation was for 5:45 AM and my surgery was scheduled for 6:00. I received a confirmation and a few days later a driver was assigned. Fortunately, I decided to check my reservation and found that it didn't exist. I tried rescheduling it and received an error. There is no way for me to pick a female driver. The driver spoke no English. He tried to drive me to two different locations. I caught him and ask him what he was doing. I am complaining about UBER EATS!!!! In Denver, CO, they use delivery people that do not speak English. So if your order is incorrect you can't even communicate with them to try to get it corrected. You have to go through the hassle of going to the website, filling out a form that doesn't necessarily address your issue but one makes it work...then when you get a refund after posting pictures and stuff, your tip is not included in your refund. I used to use Uber for everything since my car was in the shop, but I have never had such horrible service in my life. I try to get a hold of Uber customer support and talk to a manager and every time I requested to talk to a manager, which was probably over five times I was hung up rudely by the support staff when I was trying to deal with an order that I had ordered with Uber where I was put into a shared Uber with other drivers even though I did not order that this service is horrible from now on. Iv had some bad experiences with Uber eats in the past but this last time takes the prize. I ordered a pizza from Uber eats. I was watching the driver on the app as I was hungry. His car stopped in the middle of the street for a few minutes a block away. When I open my pizza the slices were all spread out. I put them back in order and I was missing a piece. So not only did the driver take a slice but he touched the rest of it trying to hide his crime. I was disgusted and threw it all away. I would give them no stars if that were an option. What a sleazy company. Charged for non-existent rides and won't reverse charges despite clear evidence I provided. Of course bank will honor disputed charges but now blocked from future rides unless I accede to their extortion of "pay for play". Beware of doing business with this company. There is definitely a reason as to why they have such miserable reviews and reputation. No phone number, no customer support, no apologies, no remorse, and the chat feature is a joke. And if you finally can email with someone who doesn't identify who he/she is, they provide no help and keep repeating that the only way to resolve a dispute is to pay up. I am now a former customer. I have ordered from Uber Eats, but have never had a problem with staff, and if there was a problem they made it right by a credit or sending it back to my card, whichever i preferred. That is my recollection. Tonight I ordered from Taco Bell and at the end added cheese potatoes. When the order was being processed i realized i accidently ordered cheese potatoes from Shake Shack at a cost of $13.04 before tip. (I would be crazy to do that when Taco Bell has cheese potatoes.) Used them here to get a ride from the airport to the hotel. My driver had a hard time finding me and said it was first time he was doing pickup from the airport. I ended up staying out in the cold for 20 mts curbside. He was super apologetic and a super nice guy so no harm...no foul. We ended up having a great conversation. He is in the army reserves and does this part time along with another job.
