The original problem was purely software: the machine would power on, show the Apple logo, prompt for an update, and then restart into internet recovery and repeat that cycle over and over. Crucially, the computer did power on. When I picked it up the next day, I was told it couldn't be fixed because it was more complicated, but when I got home, it wouldn't even turn on. I discovered the battery was disconnected and a securing sticker was missing. When I questioned them, they admitted to opening the machine, which felt dishonest after they'd initially said they hadn't. While they may be proficient with other devices, I cannot recommend them for Apple products based on this lack of transparency and care. Thank you for your response, but an apology and a warranty offer do not fix the lack of honesty and professionalism I experienced. To provide more context, I discovered the issue on Friday after your business had closed. I called on Saturday, and I was told there was no time to look at it and that I should bring it back on Tuesday because Monday was a holiday. After bringing the MacBook back on Tuesday, I called around 5:30 PM to check on the status. The person at the front desk told me it was ready to be picked up, meaning it would be returned in the same condition I brought it in--with the software loop problem, but still powering on. This is after nearly a year of trying to get them to do the right thing. uBreakiFix clearly doesn't care about its customers or its reputation. They are quick to take your money but refuse to stand behind their work. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this business. Find a reputable repair shop - even if it costs a little more - it will save you a mountain of frustration and potentially save your device. After practically living in the stone ages without a workable phone for a few days, I brought my phone here and was helped by David Gonzalez. He made the impossible, possible, and revived my phone after the screen completely shut off. I had previously spoken to Apple (Apple was estimating a $600 repair) and AT&T (which essentially told me my best move was to upgrade to another phone), and thought I would lose all of my data forever. David G. asks me a few questions about the issue and reassured if my phone passed all of the tests, he would be able to resolve the problem. I dropped my phone off today to get the screen repaired. I was told it would take a little as there was only one worker there. I left a phone number for him to call me when it was ready. I didn't hear anything so I decided to pass by and check on the status of my phone. The location is supposed to close at 7pm and I went to the store at 6:15pm and they were already closed. Not only did they not call me when the phone was ready, but closed early. They are closed tomorrow and so now I have to wait to be able to get my phone back. The first time I got my phone repaired everything was great, after 2 months my screen was unresponsive in certain areas. I went back and they fixed it because it was under the 90 day warranty. It has been 2 months AGAIN and my screen has now cracked. Unfortunately, even though it has been less than 90 days, cracks are not cover by the 90 day warranty meaning I will have to pay the $90 again. My husband had an issue with his Yamaha outdoor speaker, so we called to see if they could help us out. We know that this location mostly deals with mobile devices, so that's why we called to ask first. We spoke with someone who told us to go ahead and bring it in and they would see if they could fix it, and if not they would recommend somewhere we could take it to. After carrying the heavy speaker over there, a woman at the front told me "We don't fix speakers". So I told her we called first and explained what the man told us over the phone. She went to the back to ask some other employees at the store, and came back and told us "I'm sorry but we don't fix speakers at all. We can take a look at it but 90% chance we can't do anything about it so I don't want to waste your time." The person we spoke with in the phone was in the back and didn't bother to come speak with me. If they would have just told us that over the phone, I would not have wasted my time going over there lugging the heavy speaker back and forth. If I could I would give them 0 stars. I took my ps 4 to fix due to overheating. I called them they told me they did a cleaning and it didn't work. Waited until Wednesday and they tell me that they were waiting for the fan but it would be ready to pick up by the end of day. Got a message at 9 pm that it was ready. Turns out they didn't change the fan and left it as is but told me the cleaning worked ( although I was told on Monday it didn't). Called them on Christmas Eve morning informing them that the problem still existed. I told them I would take it back in. Showed up that Saturday and dropped it off again but I advised them I wanted to speak to a manager. They said they were not sure if one was coming in. So I waiting until 1 pm and called them asking for a manager. I was told he was out to lunch. I called an hour later and was told there was no manager. Waited until Sunday and spoke to Franco the area manager. He basically told me that I probably didn't have it well ventilated. I informed him that I believed that his staff didn't do their job at all and ripped me off. He then told me to go pick up my s 4. When I got there the guy who took care of me treated me just as rudely as his boss! Oh and they charged me for a service I didn't request! Worst service EVER.
