My first experience with uBreakiFix was just wonderful. The tech came out to the house and everything was great. But this last time was a nightmare. Like I previously said, I decided to go to the store instead of having the tech come to the house and that was a big mistake. They told me my phone had physical damage and Voided my warranty and told me I had to file a claim with Asurion. I said you are Asurion. They said they don't deal in that part of the process and I'd have to use the website. I went home and filed a claim and the website told me they needed 24 hours to review the claim. The following day no new phone. I called Asurion and talked to an agent who told me my claim had been denied. So now I have a Samsung Flip6 that the bottom half of the screen went dead and I can't use it. I did some research online and apparently this is a common issue with the Flip. I'm very upset. Don't go to the store, have the tech come to your house. read more

I dropped off my daughter's Chromebook on 3/27/23. Was told they could do a diagnostic and figure out what was going on. I got a call later in the week and was told the charging port had to be replaced. The part would be in around early the following week and they had a person who did their soldering who only came on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. On 4/14/23, I called back and was told the part had come in but we had missed the person who did the soldering. The person who answered the phone said they normally didn't work at that particular store so they couldn't give more details. I called on 4/21/23 and was told the part was lost (delivery showed it delivered but they couldn't find it in the store). They would need to re-order it and they would take $50 off the cost of repair (149 instead of 199). I told them no and picked it up. I would not do business with them again. read more

I was a victim of a scammer that attempted to take over my laptop. Instead of following the man who said he was a Microsoft rep who would restore my computer, I went to Asurion and the manager, after examining the scammer's threat to my laptop, knew just to close down my laptop and my laptop was again functional. He also gave me advice how to avoid possible scams in the future when I googled for information. I was surprised that the manager refused to charge me. I was so appreciative because I know I was able to avoid a very costly charge by the criminal attempting to take over my laptop. It has been 2 months since I brought my computers in to be fixed. I bought the Assurion package 1 month prior. So mind you, 3 months worth of payment was taken. I was pushed around and scammed. The computers never got fixed and I was told to resubmit a claim. Horrible customer service and very unprofessional. I could hear the manager in the back cussing and telling the front counter guy to "give him his sh** back and tell him to fu***** resubmit a claim". Both Tyler and Joel quickly assessed and addressed the problems with my Galaxy S10, and thoroughly explained what they did. Tyler reset everything within a quick hour and called me to pick up phone. I returned today needing an evaluation of something else. Joel was prompt and friendly. Adjustments were made and my questions answered. I've never seen such an unprofessional business! This is the Miamisburg, Ohio area. Literally treated like lower class! Is there a major ins. scam going on here?! 1st, I purposely set an appt for Sun 9/26 at noon when the store opened. I was there ON TIME and greeted with a " he was here first " by an employee who was pointing his finger to someone sitting in the corner. No "hello", no "someone will be right with you".... NOTHING! I was then told by a different employee that making an appointment is basically worthless. It just "tells them how many people are coming in at that time"... um, ..... 2nd, the young man who did actually did help was nicer than the first guy. He asked me if I had ins. on the phone. I said " I don't remember. It's a Samsung S20. But I use my phone for business and I have to get it fixed regardless and I will pay the whole bill and make the claim later if need be. He said "that's fine, It just makes it easier so you don't have to try an make a claim with them later." He then stated, "Samsung's take a little longer because of diagnostics but your phone should be finished by 3p.m.". I said "OK great. Since my phone is my only contact, I'll just come back at 3p.m. if that's ok and if it's not ready yet I'll go get a bite to eat and come back" He said "sure no problem". 3rd, I come back to pick up my phone at 3 p.m. only to be told that my phone wasn't ready yet. BUT the reason it wasn't finished yet wasn't because they were working on it. They hadn't even started on my phone yet. WHY??????? Because I soon discovered, as I was slowly getting more information from an employee, that they were putting all insurance claims BEFORE MY PHONE REPAIRS!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?????!!!!!!! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO A PAYING CUSTOMER!!!!!!. Yes, you read that correctly. ALL INSURANCE CLAIMS GET FIXED BEFORE ANY OTHER CUSTOMER! If it takes 5 days, it's because YOU DON'T HAVE INSURANCE AND THEY CAN'T MAKE A CLAIM ON YOUR PROPERTY. I'm betting they didn't tell you this when you walked in and dropped off your uninsured equipment. 4th, once they realized what they were screwing up majorly, another employee walks out from the back (the Manager??), looks at me and says " I know your upset but do you want us to fix your phone or not?" ....THIS IS HOW YOU TEACH YOUR EMPLOYEES TO WORK WITH CUSTOMERS? OR ARE YOU JUST IN IT FOR THE INSURANCE MONEY??!. If the guy I seen is the Manager of this particular location, I would have fired him on the spot. Especially after I have seen some other reviews. So today, I called at 1:57 PM EST. because months prior, I had purchased a Cellhelmet Altitude Pro Series case for the price of $49.99 which failed to protect both the front and the back of my device, and I wanted to file a claim in order to have my device fixed via the $300 screen repair guarantee provided with the purchase. The person I spoke to reassured me that since I had the original packaging, they could print me a receipt with a PIN I would need in order to file my claim with Cellhelmet in order to fund the repair of my phone. I still have the original packaging for both mine and my wife's cases as I had purchased one for the both of us. Fast forward about an hour later, I arrive at the Miamisburg branch, and about a minute later I was greeted by a tall kid with long hair, to which I mentioned my prior phone call. Before the kid could even get more than a few words out, somebody is shouting at me from the back about how I was supposed to register the device within' 30 days of the purchase which was NOT told to me when I had initially purchased the cases. I was told the packaging WAS my registration and proof of purchase when I purchased it earlier this year, and not told anything about registering it online. The kid up front could not answer any questions I had coherently, and the guy in the back just kept screaming out rather than taking 5 minutes to try and explain it to me himself. Now, I'm stuck with an expensive piece of plastic and a broken phone because Ubreakifix failed to inform me at the time of purchase the correct information I needed to ensure my device was properly protected. Not only did my time get wasted, I had 3 different people tell me 3 different things in the span of an hour, and was basically out the door with no more than a "Yea, sorry" for my wasted time and troubles. This has got to be the worst customer relations experience I have had in the last 10 years, and I will be sure everybody I know is well informed of it. I don't like being lied to, I don't like being misinformed by people that pretend to know what they are talking about, and I certainly don't like wasting money on shoddy products just to be told to basically kick rocks because I was misinformed by the very people who are supposed to know this stuff and inform the customer properly in the first place. My Xbox one s died on me they said it would take 24 48 hrs for them to run Diagnostics on it they called me back in less than 5 hrs saying it was in fact the hard drive..... I suspected that any way which I told them they had it fixed in another 3 hrs which was AMAZING considering they told me up to 48 hrs so far so good def would recommend my only thing neg I got to say is that they are only $20 cheaper than sending it off to Microsoft but if you account for how fast they had it handled well worth the money and a 90 day warranty i can not complain thank you guys you saved my Xbox!!!!! read more
