Went in for a simple thermal paste replacement because I was too busy to do it my self and source the equipment which was successful and completely fixed the overheating issue Butttttt (with a capital B) they forgot to plug the LED wire back in which resulted in months of my ps5 not having functioning LEDs. I finally got around to buying the dumb star drill bit and fixing it my self but it could have been easily avoided for sure by them turning it on and testing it. Also they tried to tell me that my HDMI port was broken and wanted around $80 to fix it (8 or so months later its completely functional never had a problem with it) I could have brought it back for them to fix it assumingely for free but I'm a hour out and I ain't got no time for that. ATTENTION Asurion customer!!!! On June 13, 2025, I visited uBreakiFix - Phone and Computer Repair located at 16 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL, to have my phone screen repaired. Since I have insurance, the repair was supposed to be free. I arrived at 12:00 PM and explained to the salesperson that I needed my screen fixed. They informed me that my phone would be ready by 6:00 PM. I mentioned that I live an hour away and have to be at work by 6:00 PM, which is another 45 minutes from my home. The salesperson then offered me the option to pay $30 to skip the queue. I called Stacey, who works at the local AT&T with my frustrations, and he offered to refund me the money. I decided to go ahead and pay the $30, but then the salesperson clarified that this fee was part of a monthly repair plan. For $30 a month, they would repair any electronic that I had for a minimum of $100 and up; I was advised that I could only pay for this plan using a debit or credit card or I could pay a flat fee of $80, which was separate from the repair contract. I accepted the $30 monthly plan. I was told that my phone would be ready in 30 minutes. I left UBreakiFix at 12:05 PM and returned at 1:55 PM, only to find that I still had to wait an additional 30 minutes for my phone to calibrate. According to the reviews on their website, if you are an Asurion customer, this is a normal tactic. read more

Friendly overall and my problem did get resolved, though I definitely have complaints. No complaints with diagnosing the issue and part shipping delays. The loaner phone I was given was somewhat problematic, but it got me by. Communication was a dice roll. Some days I could get an answer in just a few minutes, other times I went on hold for 30 minutes and had the call end, followed by another 30 minutes of no one being able to answer my questions. Everyone was relatively friendly, though the clerk at pick-up acted a bit snobby when I was asking a few questions. However, when I went to pick up my device, I was greeted with no SIM tray. This was my daily driver phone, so of course it had a SIM tray when I entrusted the device to them. The device has been disabled for over a week since I picked it up because there's no tray AND I no longer have the loaner. They arranged for one to be delivered to my house, though after waiting for a whole week, I simply bought my own replacement online which arrived 36 hours after ordering it. Even having it shipped to their shop then to me should not take this long. Also, the top speaker on my device now rattles when above 50% volume. It didn't do it before, but honestly, I can't be bothered to wait another week for someone to even look at it even with the 90-day 'coverage'. I'll take care of it myself. I need a phone to operate day-to-day, which apparently no one is aware of. Finally, I had basically no reassurance that the data on the device would be properly disposed of. Some vague promise about "it'll be wiped at the factory" is simply not good enough when you have a customer's data on a board. I've learned that, from this experience, no one cares about your time. In the current year, approaching nearly a month for a phone repair to truly be completed is absolutely unacceptable. Two weeks is already approaching the threshold, but failing to return my SIM tray (or not admitting that they broke/lost it) is insane. Never bothering with this nonsense again. read more

My repair was said to take only 4 hours, but then it was completed the next morning. I realize that I said I might not be there by the end of the day, but it is more of an under promise, over deliver type thing. Then the tech attempted to sell me the $20/month plan not once, but TWICE and when I turned him down the second time, he continued to push to ask why. A little too high pressure for my liking. Then when receiving the product, it was dirty as there were sticky pieces of glass on the back. I took my Iphone 12 to get fixed, The screen had a small crack that stopped half the screen from working. They were quick but the screen is not working too well, Like its not responding as good as usual, When I pressed on the screen it like looked like there was tension where the old crack was, Like I was pushing on the screen too hard but was not. I go to use it today (a week later), The screen wont even work. Like my screen is black, I know the phone is not dead because when I use the side button to mute notifications or plug it in it vibrates. I am extremely upset especially since I have to wait two days to get it looked at again after I already paid $200. Now I have to risk missing calls from the colleges I applied to and also jobs. AT&T sent me to thing store for my phone to be fix. I wasn't allowed into the store when I arrived which is very understandable, but the staff at the time allowed another customer to wait for their phone be repaired while I wait outside with others who also had appointment. After calling to see how I was supposed to drop my phone off I was then helped. Also I was not called to be notified when my phone was finished. I check my account today and these losers fraudulently signed me up for a monthly recurring protection plan that was never discussed with me and I surly didn't agree to this charge or would never have signed up for something like this. These losers will will commit fraud by signing you up for a service so check your bank statements. Oh, where do I begin!! It should have been a BIG red flag when I make an appointment to drop off my laptop and have to wait in line 45 minutes while customer service takes others before me. I advised I had an appointment but was told these people were in line first. Ok, so I had also received a $25 coupon as a new customer-well guess what? I'm told this location does not accept uBreakiFix coupons because they are a franchise. So that was a bust. Then I'm told if I take out this Asurion plan for $25, it will lower the cost of my repair. Now keep in mind this laptop is a DELL and not a year old. They call and tell me I need a new hard drive and it will be over $200+ to repair. Said the hard drive is not that expensive, it's the labor. I called Asurion regarding the repair and guess what??? Yep, I was told that I can't make a claim for at least 30 days after the policy is taken out. I was never told any of this at the time of drop-off. I explained I was not advised of this. The CSR told me this should have been explained to me when I took out policy/plan. She also asked about the paperwork I received from uBreakiFix. Didn't receive any. Well, I go to pick up my laptop and I feel like I have been taken advantage of all of the way around. I told him about calling Asurion and he has the nerve to say, WHY? No one else in town had the screen so it was awesome that I was able to make an appointment on a Sunday and get it back within 2 hours. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Told me they could give me a free diagnostic test and would have an answer for me within 48 hours . After more than 72 hours , I had to call them myself to ask about the status of my ps4 . They told me they had more devices infront of mine . After another 24-48 hours (March 16th) they called me back informing me that it was just a simple hard drive that needed to be replace . Told them to go ahead and fix it for $180 ( they offered to clean it for an additional $100... outrageously overpriced) . THEN I get another call saying they didn't have the part . They had to order the part and it would take 3-5 business days to get there. After days go by, I call again on the 5th business day ( even though they are open 7days a week) , they inform me they still do not have the part and have not even started yet . My ps4 has just been sitting there for almost two weeks . Very unprofessional for a business that is open everyday of the week . Very Poor customer service . Do not recommend this company.
