Wow, ordered a pizza. Bottom layer had big pieces of ham (looked like they pulled out a cold cut package, then very thick layer of cheese, so thick that you couldn't even see the ham underneath, pepperoni (ok), then mushrooms (right out of a can, not fresh). We took off a huge amount of cheese from the only piece we ate. Unfortunately, we brought it home and now it's going in the trash. Very disappointing, won't be back. read more

Unfortunately, my experience last night was disappointing. Our server, Karleigh, was inattentive throughout our meal and was rarely around when we needed anything. Our drinks were never refilled, she didn't check in on us, and communication felt minimal. It also wasn't busy when we were there, which made the lack of service even more frustrating. We ordered a pizza from the Caledonia location this past weekend, it was the worst pizza we ever had. It was undercooked so much that you couldn't pick up a piece with your hands. The crust was doughy and it was luke warm. We live 5 minutes from this location. We ordered black olives but green were applied. I would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

It truly hurts me to leave a poor review, but I felt compelled to speak about my experience here Sunday night. This was my first time here and I will never be returning. I came in with family as I was in town for a family reunion. We ordered a variety of foods, I don't remember everything we ordered but my mom and I shared a build your own pizza consisting of sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms. It was okay, but something about the sausage tasted off to me. I couldn't pinpoint it and was starving so I continued eating it. As I mentioned before, this was my first time here so I didn't have anything to compare it to. My mom and I are the only ones who ate the pizza and within three hours, both of us were extremely ill. I will spare you the details but having to reschedule our flight back home and extending our hotel stay has been a major inconvenience. I spoke with my primary doctor, and she strongly suspects I had a bad bout of food poisoning. I am so glad none of my elderly relatives ate any of our pizza. Next time, we will stick with Brann's as it seems like a much safer choice and our meals there were great! read more

$22 for pasta with chicken and there was no discernible tomato cream sauce in the container! Pasta was virtually dry. (See picture) The $9 order of Pizza Puffs didn't come with marinara or cheese dipping sauce. $9 for half of a takeout container of fried dough and no sauce is outrageous. Restaurant was nearly empty at 5pm so it wasn't an issue of the kitchen being overwhelmed. Won't be back to the Caledonia location with issues like this. Better than average neighborhood grub pub. Specializing in Italian food, but serves many different options for different palates. Prices are higher than they should be, but portions are huge and a good assortment of beer, wine and cocktails. Main dining room is surrounded by giant TV screens playing multiple sports. And it is LOUD! There's a quieter dining area at the front of the restaurant (no TV's) and plentiful outdoor seating during seasonal months. On weekends, wait times both for seating, and especially your order, can be very long. read more

Food was good, hot and timely. No mistakes on the order. The server offered fresh or canned mushrooms on my pizza, nice to have a choice. Beer selection is excellent and was cold. We were there to watch an NFL game and we had a great table for viewing the game. I would have rated them higher if not for the added 3% admin fee added to the bill. We inquired about the fee and the server said it was because they don't want to print new menus, huh? Why not? I looked at some reviews that are over 2 years old and they are still going by that. Our 'go to' spot just down the road. Everyone has one but thankfully ours has such a great menu, always quick and friendly service whether dining in or take out, and just great overall convenience. Opted for take out this time; my wife got chicken tenders and I got the meatball parmigiana sandwich. She swears by those chicken tenders and I'd agree they're probably the best in town, and I was extremely satisfied with my tasty sandwich that I don't know if I ordered before; but boy did it deliver on flavor and tummy satisfaction. We went here on a Saturday around 5:30 and it was packed. They have a great beer selection; especially on tap. The server was really nice and pretty attentive given how busy they were. I had the boneless wings and they were pretty good. "Hot" isn't really hot, but they were good and the fries were tasty and fresh. It's decent bar food with a pretty good selection; maybe a little pricey, but not too bad. The only issue was the male host was a bit rude. Understand you're busy, but being rude to us while we were patiently waiting for our table in the bar wasn't a good show. Also, getting a drink at the bar was slow, the bar seemed to be understaffed for the volume of people. I'd probably go back, but there's a lot of places higher on the list. read more

This is one of those places in West Michigan that you go in with low expectations and then leave pleasantly surprised. We have always had friendly service and our orders have always been correct. The menu is large enough to provide each person with something. Plenty of appetizers to choose from to share with the table. The drink list is what you'd expect for a West Michigan restaurant. I had low expectations for the Mushroom Risotto because that seems like a fancy dish for a place like this. I was very surprised and I really enjoyed my dinner. The portion size was large enough to fill me up after a salad/appetizer. I even had some extra to bring home and enjoy later. This is my first time visiting Michigan and some of my coworkers recommended I try out Uccello's. Not only was the food fresh and tasty, the service was fast and decently priced. I am on a strict budget with my per diem for work so cost for meals is always a concern. I compared the menu on a few different apps to check out the pics people had posted and it was hard to decide on what to get because it all looked so good. I ended up calling in my order for pickup and saved a couple dollars compared to an online order. I can recommend the chicken salad and my coworkers enjoyed the chicken alfredo. Turn the AC down a bi please, and lower your menu prices a smidge with the money you'll save on your cooling bill. The food was actually great, had some dip stuff and it was fabulous, some pizza too, it was delish.... Beers were good, I'm a simple man , Coors light for me please.... Pretty typical city suburb bar, far too big, way too loud, way more tvs than necessary, but good service, good food, and great location. my husband and i are frequent visitors to the Caledonia Uccello's. we are rarely disappointed. Bar staff is excellent and attentive. they are responsive to requests to change a tv to a different channel. they have great happy hour specials - hubby & I love the happy hour pizza. Wednesday we love to go for burger beer night - super cheap dinner for us. kids love to go there too, play pool, watch sports. they enjoy the pizza puffs. AND, if it is your birthday month, super yummy strawberry shortcake desert - complementary. We typically prefer to sit in the sports lounge, not the dining area. Hubby loves to play touchtunes while we are there. it's not always on depending on what sports are on the TV. We'll definitely be back, often. read more

Ordered via Grubub as we were visiting Grand Rapids. We got the gouda chicken Flatbread, club Flatbread, kids spaghetti, kids pepperoni pizza, and the Italian sausage and peppers. We also got the pizza poppers. Be aware when ordering on the Grubhub app, that it doesn't give the restaurant the entire order. We were missing a salad, and some sauces that we selected on the app but didn't print on the ticket from the restaurant. Overall the food was ok. Everything had a kick of heat spice to it, ranging from mild to over-powering. The gouda chicken Flatbread was mostly peppers, just a few chunks of chicken. The club Flatbread was pretty tasty. The fries are good. The pizza poppers were very soft and pillowy. My daughter said the spaghetti was spicy, and only ate about half. The pizza was good. My hyenas said the sauce the sausage and peppers was in was very spicy. Would we return to this place in the future? Likely not, just because it doesn't mesh with our tastebuds. This review is based solely on the "Seafood Risotto" they have on their menu. My wife normally orders the Salmon but wanted to try something different so she decided to try the Seafood Risotto. It was a nice portion of risotto with 4 small shrimp, probably 22 count. Uccellos need to check out their competition to understand what their customers will be expecting. Very disappointed.
