    Pepperoni pizza

After attending an event at the local nature center, we stopped by to grab some dinner. It was later and the place was fairly empty, except for one Christmas party happening at adjacent high tops. Our server, was friendly and very sweet. Our group ordered subs, pizza, and one opted to split the salmon. Food took a reasonable amount of time and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. A perfectly fine visit.

Thank you for two celery sticks. So generous.

After a two year respite I was forced back to Vitale's for another disappointing meal. Why do we never learn?

Wonderful server so kind and helpful. Our lunch was delicious, highly recommend the deluxe pizza and meatballs. Restrooms and dining was clean.

My family and I have been eating at Vitale's of Ada or having it delivered for well over a decade. The service has always been excellent, and the food delicious, with the portions plentiful. Sadly, this was not the case last night. I ordered lasagna and for 18$ plus delivery charges received a very small piece. In addition, you could barely taste the ricotta cheese in this short piece I received. Previous pieces have almost filled the take out container. See attached picture. The spoon pictured is a tablespoon so you can see how small and short piece of lasagna was I ordered extra Mozzarella on it because the generous portion i usually receive is complemented by the extra cheese. I was quite dissatisfied and disappointed.

Eggplant Parmigiana - so excited when I saw this on the menu because I often crave it and can't think of a local place to get it. Delicious! I love how it comes out baked in its own dish and you have the crispy cheese and eggplant along the edges. Nice and hot, cheesy, and perfectly sweet but not too sweet sauce. It comes with spaghetti in a separate bowl. The leftovers were perfect reheated. Happy to have found my go-to place when I crave this dish!

We ordered barbecue wings and they somehow mixed that up with franks hot sauce. Took forever to bring 8 wings. Used to be a go to spot but now I have changed my mind

The service is always timely for me and the food has been consistent. They have live music and the patio is perfect this time of year! Parking is a bit of a pain when DT Ada is busy, so just plan for that. On my most recent visit I ordered the mac and cheese and really enjoyed it. Sometimes bar and grill mac and cheese can be pretty underwhelming, but this was creamy, flavorful, and actually felt homemade. The portions were solid too. The atmosphere is casual and lively, making it a good spot to meet friends, grab a drink, watch a game, or sit outside on a nice summer evening. Is it the best most high quality restaurant in Ada? Probably not. But it is a reliable spot with good food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. It is in my regular roation for food stops in Ada. 4/5 stars from me!

We visited not long after they went live in 2021. It was busy inside and the service was understandably slow. I got the "Homemade Chili", which was apparently made in a condemned home because it was barely room-temperature. I sent it back and had to press my case to get that bacterial culture of a dish taken off the bill. My "Garage Burger" had a bun that was so stale, it clanked when I hit it against my plate. My beleaguered waitress stared at me when I did this and asked, comically, "do you want a new bun?" Why yes, yes I do - preferably one that can't be sharpened into a prison shank, my dear. As the volume in the place progressively increased, I watched another family with younger kids struggle with similar food issues. The dad at that table looked at me knowingly with something akin to PTSD in his eyes and then he abruptly plunked down some cash and gathered his family up and walked out. I paid with a credit card, so it took me a bit longer, but we all left without finishing our meals. I'm not going to say that the food here is a crime against humanity, but I'm going to think it really hard.

You can eat, drink, and play golf - you can do it all or you can do just one. However, if you plan on playing golf / using a simulator bay, you should call or go online and make a reservation. It gets busy there. I love that they have seasonal cocktails. They had some special ones for st Patrick's day. They also have happy hour M-F from 2-6pm. I booked a bay, it charges per 30 min. The hour was $65. I had one cocktail. I got a briefing on the system and I was on my way to playing a very difficult golf course in South Korea. They have club upgrades but I stuck with the standard bag. I had a great time. Next time I will choose an easier golf course! Also, I believe the server calculates their tip not only on what you buy but also your bay time. So I'll review my check a little closer next time. The sell golf gloves if you need one/forgot yours. There is a small parking lot next to the building or you can park on the street or garage nearby. Bathrooms are on all levels. Fun place. I'll be back.

I was surprised at how long it took for the 2 hosts to greet us - as we were standing directly in front of them. They were talking to one another, and it was probably work related, but to just stand there staring at them for a couple minutes while they ignored us was awkward. When they finally talked to us they weren't very friendly. Anyway, we made our way to the bar and it was full except for 3 seats. I think the bartender waiting on us was new. He seemed like he was pretty overwhelmed/in the weeds. He greeted us quickly and brought us waters when he did, which I appreciated. I ordered a Blackeberry Bourbon Sour and my Mr had Paloma Nuestra. We both enjoyed our drinks they were refreshing and well crafted. For dinner I had a really hard time deciding! I wanted to try so many things! Our bartender said his favorite thing in the menu is the chicken and rice bowl. That was something I was considering and decided to go with that. Excellent recommendation! The chicken was flavorful and so tender. The hot peppers were a nice touch. There was a lot of food too! I couldn't finish it all. Mr had the hanger steak that was served with mushroom and asparagus risotto. He said the risotto was the best he's ever had, and I agree. The asparagus was perfectly cooked and so was the steak. The space is really nice, felt intimate without being overcrowded. We are looking forward to coming back!

Bob's Bar served tater tots with garlic herb cheese curds, house made beef gravy, green onion, and bacon bits. It was great! Felt like it was pretty much what you would want out of a poutine dish. I also got the Chicago dogs which is on their normal menu and these were tasty. I had been craving a Chicago style hot dog for a while and these hit the spot. They got all the toppings right. Especially loved the sport peppers. The basket is served with potato chips. There was some sort of alcohol rep there when we were there and he was handing out free drinks and samplings/shots of alcohol that were on the house so that was a nice surprise! Another nice thing about Bob's bar is their parking! They have a lot that is dedicated only to their customers right across Harlan Ave. Otherwise there is side street parking. Loved the vibe of this place. Kinda divey but not gross or unappealing or anything of that matter. Nate and I stopped in last month to grab a snack and catch an MSU basketball game. It was also Super Bowl Sunday, so it was pretty busy even though it was mid-afternoon. We took a table near the door and had a good view of several TVs. The bar is pretty cozy, so it can get a little crowded. A server came over right away and took our order. I got the spicy dry rub wings and Nate ordered the buffalo chicken rangoons. The food took quite a bit of time to come out, but they were pretty busy with a couple large groups. The wings were excellent! I'd had their regular wings before, but the spicy dry rub was really flavorful with a bit of heat. I liked that it wasn't overly salty like some dry rubs I've had elsewhere. The wings themselves were crispy and juicy. The buffalo chicken rangoons were just okay. The filling was pretty sparse and they were a little tough. We'd definitely get the wings again. Note that they give a small discount if you pay in cash. Bob's Sports Bar is a low key neighborhood hangout spot to watch a game or catch up with friends. They have Keno, pull tabs, Chambongs, and daily food and drink specials. There's plenty of free street parking nearby and they have a designated parking lot across the street.
