We have been going to Vitale's for years! It was always a fav! We used to get take home pizza about once a week. Over the last few years the to-go quality has gotten really bad. We show up and they are old looking pizzas or over cooked. Today my son and I went in while my other son was at practice. We just got the goat cheese dip and the bread was so hard and burned. The waitress didn't check in until we had to leave. It was super disappointing. It went from being our fav to always being disappointed. read more

After attending an event at the local nature center, we stopped by to grab some dinner. It was later and the place was fairly empty, except for one Christmas party happening at adjacent high tops. Our server, was friendly and very sweet. Our group ordered subs, pizza, and one opted to split the salmon. Food took a reasonable amount of time and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I was visiting family and this place was suggested. I am so glad I didn't read the reviews before going here! Our server was fantastic, the outdoor seating was perfect, and the food that all 4 of us had was delicious! Between us we had: cauliflower wings (very spicy, even for someone who likes spicy food), Caesar salad, some salad with beets, lasagna, and the eggplant parmigiana sandwich. We also got the Ciderboys Grand Mimosa cider and it was soooo good! It was a lovely lunch and I can't wait to go back when I'm in town again! read more

My family loves this place. It's the one place where everyone can get everything they want! It's a little loud, but as long as you know to expect it, it's manageable, but conversations during busy times are nearly impossible. Meatballs and grilled asparagus are the best. read more

My family and I have been eating at Vitale's of Ada or having it delivered for well over a decade. The service has always been excellent, and the food delicious, with the portions plentiful. Sadly, this was not the case last night. I ordered lasagna and for 18$ plus delivery charges received a very small piece. In addition, you could barely taste the ricotta cheese in this short piece I received. Previous pieces have almost filled the take out container. See attached picture. The spoon pictured is a tablespoon so you can see how small and short piece of lasagna was I ordered extra Mozzarella on it because the generous portion i usually receive is complemented by the extra cheese. Service was quite slow and our waitress Celeste needs to learn to multitask. There was definitely room for improvement. When we ordered a corona the lime is cut so big it doesn't fit in the neck of the bottle. Cutting it myself was a chore. The salmon needed salt and flavor it was very bland. The shrimp risotto was ok and very heavy handed with pepper. It takes away from the flavor of the sauce in the risotto. There was maybe 4 little pieces of asparagus. When the food came out she never checked back to see how things were. My water ran dry during the meal. That is not great when that is all you are dinking and had nothing to wash the black pepper flavor away. read more

Pulling in to the restaurant on a Sunday evening the first thing I saw was a sign "Immediate Hire All Positions." Not a good sign, so to speak. Standing in the lobby waiting to be seated observed a very unhappy woman being apologized to about a botched pizza order it appears she had to return to the restaurant to take care of. She was very polite considering it was clearly a flub on the restaurant's part. I usually go to the original Vitales on Leonard and they have never failed me with their pasta dinners. I ordered the rigatoni. It was a big let down. The starchy rigatoni stretched thinly across the plate and the sausage, sauce, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes were very skimpy. It was also served at only a warm temperature. The restaurant has a nice layout and the waitstaff was young, but not unpleasant. But the food was pretty bad. I'll stick to Vitales on Leonard if I plan on eating. read more

Eggplant Parmigiana - so excited when I saw this on the menu because I often crave it and can't think of a local place to get it. Delicious! I love how it comes out baked in its own dish and you have the crispy cheese and eggplant along the edges. Nice and hot, cheesy, and perfectly sweet but not too sweet sauce. It comes with spaghetti in a separate bowl. The leftovers were perfect reheated. Happy to have found my go-to place when I crave this dish! read more

I occasionally get food from this restaurant, but their disinterest in customer service is concerning. Tried to place a take-out order a half hour prior to their stated closing time, and after waiting longer than usual, they answered my call by telling me they were closed. When I noted their posted hours, the individual replied that it had been slow that evening, so they had closed an hour early. Perhaps if their prime motivator is their bottom line, or maybe to avoid unnecessary down time, they should reduce their hours, and close that hour earlier more often. We as customers don't mean to be a disruption in their schedule. Update: Two days after posting this, I received the same information again. I was told that if the chef feels it's slow, they decide to close the restaurant early. Again, close earlier if you can't bother to honor your posted hours. read more

On Saturday my daughter got engaged. I decided to have engagement party here. The entire team at the restaurant was very accommodating, Jim,Les, April and the wait staff. We were able to have our own room in the restaurant. The ambience was beautiful. The team even set up the event because I personally was at the proposal site. Not only did they do a beautiful job setting up the tables with candles and greens that I left. The all-around experience was wonderful. The pizza's breadsticks and salad was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for every day event or bigger events that you may want to host. We love this place... especially the carry out special of spaghetti.. always a family favorite which is only $20. I deviated tonight and got the gnocchi w cream sauce, peas and ham... it was $21... and I only got like 18 gnocchi (which is like over a dollar a gnocchi), i would classify it more like soup honestly. Good flavor but I'll never get the gnocchi again. Just not worth the money. Especially at a $21 price point. Yikes. Service is always fast and friendly. Love the atmosphere. A blip on the radar for the gnocchi, but otherwise a great place to eat or carry out. read more

The place is so loud the waitress had trouble hearing our orders. The waitress was ok, orders took long but that's not her fault. Food was two stars. Our table had the following: Sicilian meatloaf very good, two salads with chicken. How can you mess up a salad? Lousy dressing. Way too much balsamic vinegar. I had baked mostaccoli with meat sauce. Way too salty. Aside from that tasteless, microwaved?? Just yuk. Desert good but took so long we almost cancelled. And a side note, an Italian restaurant without a bread bowl??? I had my first opportunity to eat at this place yesterday. The server was pleasant, attentive and was able to respond with detailed knowledge to each of the choices made by the members of our weekly luncheon group. After reading the menu, I ordered the meatball sub. None of us had to wait for a long period of time for the 10 orders to be served. Unfortunately, the item I ordered was a total disapointment. The meatballs were dry, the sauce and expected cheese were virtually absent and the roll was tough and chewy. I could only eat half of it. The dill pickle was pretty tasty though. As someone of Italian lineage, I was very disapointed. As much as it pains me to say this, I actually feel that the meatball subs at Subway are vastly superior. I may eat there again, but I can assure you that I'll be ordering something else. ps... The other 9 members who ordered something else seemed to enjoy their orders. I stopped in for a pizza last night with my family, and the service was spectacular! Our waitress was very kind and attentive, she helped us with some menu recommendations and checked in on us throughout our meal. Our deluxe pizza came out and it was a bit under-done in the middle but still okay. We all took a slice and when our server came to check on us after the pizza was dropped off, she agreed it was a little soupy in the middle and immediately went to the kitchen and started a new pizza for us. It was out within minutes and it was even better the second time! We were well taken care of and left very happy. Will definitely be returning. read more

In general I really enjoy their food. However some of their pricing is great and other things are comically horrible. Best example is the "small Caesar salad." As you can see from the picture, it's roughly a handful of lettuce with a couple flakes of cheese. Somehow this is worth $6 to them which is pretty laughable. This is THE place in the Ada area for sports beer and food. Service is always great and they have good alcohol selection. Food isn't the best but it's enough for what vitales should be used for, and that's sports game days. It has plenty of seating and tvs everywhere so no matter what game you're trying to catch, you can watch it here. Very fun place to come. Also, the only big place to do this in the area. read more

If you're not in the mood for pizza they have great spaghetti and meatballs and their chicken parm sub is great as well! Great quality food that is always fresh and flavorful. Depending on the time and day you visit, it gets pretty busy. Staff is always friendly, but with staff shortages (like everyone has) service might be a smidge slower than before covid, never too bad though! Horrible treatment of their customers. I can't believe we have to write this review. The management was very rude and aggressive towards our party. The bar staff was apologetic to our group. The waitress was embarrassed. Normally a great place to bring our family and my customers. Not anymore. The Vitale family or whoever the ownership is now should change management immediately. Everyone who asks us will be told not to patronize Vitales of Ada until a change is made. Everyone works too hard to spend their hard earned money at an establishment that treats patrons with disrespect. read more

My fiancé and I have ordered carry out from here twice since moving to the area, and we were very disappointed! The first time we placed a carry out order online, they somehow did not receive the order. Upon arriving we had to wait almost an hour while they rushed to make the pizza. The second time we placed an order online (almost two hours ahead of time), when we got there to pick it up, it wasn't ready. Had to wait 15 minutes. Staff was very unpleasant. When we got home I was disgusted to have bitten into a hard piece of plastic that was baked into our pizza. Update to my last review: Vitale's are making and delivering make your own pizza kits - you can pay and TIP over the phone and they will leave them at your door and call you as they leave - we made them tonight and they were perfect - even came with a baking pan you can put in recycling bin not garbage - trust the instructions - that pan did not burn it worked perfectly and the bottom of the pizza crisped up like magic - delicious!!!!! read more
