It is now been over two weeks with no relief of symptoms and speaking with her. She asked me what do I want her to do like what the fuck do you mean? What do I want you to do? You're the medical professional you are supposed to know what a solution is for this problem.

I've been seeing Dr. Gay Gustafson for much of the past year but stopped after my last visit. I…read morearrived about ten minutes before my scheduled appointment and was placed right away in a treatment room where I sat for 45 minutes. I knew the doctor was in the office because I saw her pass the open door several times and heard her voice occasionally during those 45 minutes. When she walked into the treatment room she flashed me a smile and asked me how I was doing. I told her I'd been waiting so long I was thinking about getting up and going home. In a voice best directed toward a small child she said "Oh, you need a hug", as if I was just having a bad day. I feel I deserved an apology and explanation for having been kept waiting; not some sarcastic remark. She then sat on a stool, began examining my feet, and said "You're not diabetic, are you?" That was the purpose of my regular visits to her - for diabetic foot care. Apparently she'd not taken 30 seconds to glance at my medical records prior to coming into the room. During the appointment she told me I'd benefit from rubbing a certain ointment on my feet and that she'd phone my pharmacist to prescribe it before the end of the day. When a week passed without her calling my pharmacy, I had to phone her and remind her to do so. My health insurance pays 100% of my doctors' visits and treatments. I deserve better than Dr. Gustafson.

When I called to set up a first visit, I was happy with the care the office staff took to get to know me, what I needed, and the best chiropractor for my cervical needs. I was seeing a different chiropractor (which was decent), but it was getting expensive because they didn't take my medical insurance. I was very curious to compare and contrast the two offices. I was much more impressed with New Mexico Chiropractic Center! Dr. Marcus is HIGHLY knowledgeable. He asked me several questions to get the full perspective of what my body had been through and what we needed to work on. He informed me of his background and expertise. He explained every little thing to me scientifically which was amazing. He adjusted me and each time, he charted specifically what manipulation he had performed. Then he would walk me through what else my neck, back, hip, and shoulder needed and then perform the next manipulation and chart again. I ended up having complications but they were nothing that could have been predicted nor prevented by the doctor nor the staff. I am an especially hard stick when it comes to my IV lately and am waiting on a port. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Chen, was able to assist with an IV in my wrist. It was painful yet very affective and got the job done! Dr. Saad, the GI specialist performing my EGD, was not very friendly nor did he explain the results. Instead I vaguely remember him giving the info to the nurse to give to me when I woke up so he could leave. I remember waking up and wanting to be like, "It's okay to talk to me. I'm not scary. I'm just a person too." But he still did a great job and I appreciate his work!
