I have so much pain in my back and neck and I feel so stiff because of it. It also asked from previous massages what I did NOT like. I put that I did NOT like my legs and arms worked on because it didn't leave much time for my back which is where I NEED it worked on. My husband spent a TON of money on this and his massage was wonderful and done exactly as he asked. My masseuse said that the body is a whole and she needed to do the whole body and she doesn't believe in deep tissue and that she does more "out of body and not as much hands on and we need to focus on our breathing". When she said that, I knew I was not going to be getting what I needed. She focused more on my legs and arms than anything else's. Hardly did anything with my back or neck and when she did, she more so placed her finger tips on my back and breathed in and out a bunch of times and didn't even massage it. She had enough to time do that to the left side of my shoulders but didn't even get to my right side, where it hurts the most! Three times I asked her to please just focus on actually massaging, hard, on my upper back and neck. Well, about 2 minutes after the third time, my session was already up. As soon as she left the room I was crying because I hurt so much and I was so frustrated. My husband had to massage my shoulders in the sauna treatment we got while I sobbed all the way through it because he shouldn't have had to do that for me. Top it all off, I walked in with a brand new coffee and the lady took it from me saying it would be in the next room after the massage, it wasn't there. So I spent money on a latte I didn't even get to drink. Again, my husbands massage was heavenly (he had Jill, she was amazing at getting exactly where he wanted it). Mine, I will never go there again. She didn't listen to anything and did more breathing crap and light rubbing than actually massaging.

I've just returned from one of the most amazing spa experiences ever!…read more After checking into the spa, we were led into the changing rooms, where our names were already placed on our locker and a fluffy robe and acupressure slippers were waiting (my helper noticed my slippers were a bit too big and immediately returned with a better size). My hubbie and I were then invited to enjoy their co-ed "Rainforest Steam Room" before being led outside to have a warm foot soak infused with salts from the Dead Sea while listening to the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks in front of us. They even provided sunglasses, as they saw we were squinting into the sun! There they introduced us to the various aromatherapies to choose from - all used botanical ingredients blended into combinations to relax, invigorate, etc. We had the couples massage in the rustic Cedar Sanctuary, which was a cabin built for two, opening on one end to the sea. Our massage therapists were amazing. One of the best massages I've ever had is from a therapist trained at California's Esalen, and this was on par. She was careful to keep me warm and comfortable while my muscles were gently rendered to limp noodles. I'm glad we're staying here as I can't wait to go back and try another treatment!
