They have a beautiful sunflower patch that you can pick your own, 2 for $5 or if you spend $25 they were free. We took some time to see their farm animals. They were well taken care of and so cute! Just a pleasant little farm, glad we stopped in!

They have buckets for you to grab, or you can bring your own. You get charged per pound that you pick and pay when you're done! They had so many strawberries ready to pick, I had so much fun doing this with my friends kids! I was already planning on making a homemade strawberry shortcake when I got home. They have a cute little coffee truck which I obviously had to stop by. If you have a strawberry latte during strawberry season - you can count on me to grab one! It was so good, and not too sweet or tart from the strawberry! I also had to grab their strawberry donuts from the farm stand. Which, needless to say ... they did not make it home with me. We scarfed those down! Incredible. I loved the "petting zoo" area. You can feed the goats, sit in the rabbit pen and give them some pets, and play with the piglets! Such a cute add on to this experience; and the petting zoo was no charge! They also have a ton of toys and bounce houses for the kiddos. If you're looking for a fun strawberry picking experience, give them a try!

As a child growing up in South Carolina my family and I would always get up on Saturdays and go to…read moreyard sales, flea markets, and farmers markets. I haven't been to any type of market in ages, but this morning I felt like exploring. I moved to Virginia 3 1/2 years ago and I enjoy cooking in my kitchen. I've had several thoughts about going to the farmer markets in the areas and I made those thoughts come true on today. My first stop was here at this particular one. Upon entering, we were greeted by Anna or Annie. She was working behind the counter and welcomed us inside. She even told me where I could find something specific I was looking for. As she waited on customers to shop she stocked up on some things and aligned items on shelves. Super helpful! We walked around and collected several items before heading to the register. I told her we hadn't been to a farmers market in so many years and she told us to come back any time and that they would be happy to serve us. Made my entire day!!! The ambiance of the market felt family strong. I loved the atmosphere and the foods/products made readily available. I can't wait to return. Upon leaving we saw that there was a food truck on the premises serving ice cream and hotdogs. We had just came from eating and didn't get to check them out, but if it's there when we return we'll definitely check it out. If you're reading my review, please go by and check them out.

I have been coming to the Pungo Strawberry Festival for several years. This year was absolutely the…read moremost hectic and crowded year I can remember. That's incredible for pungo and the festival vendors. Parking is $10 which is pretty pricey. I spend less parking at events at the oceanfront and waterside. It's nothing but locals so I wish they would decrease by $5 considering everything at the festival is pricey and people spend a lot on the food. A little cut in parking would make up for that. Sadly there wasn't as much strawberry items as previous years. I appreciated Lolly's and Sawdust having strawberry inspired drinks. I found a strawberry shortcake dessert and strawberry lemonade and that was about it. Really sad about that as pungo houses a lot of yummy strawberries. Nonetheless this is a local spot that I've come to for years and won't stop now. I just hope it continues to listen to the locals and adjust here and there.
