This is an additional review to show how poorly this school is performing. All communication amongst the staff is HORRIBLE. This was a conversation I had during my externship. She was basically trying to deny a site change because Kelsey was confident I "already completed 50% of my hours", if she would have just checked my timesheet it clearly stated I was no where near 50% done... After completing my hours at my externship site I contacted career services to ask if there was any paperwork I needed to fill out or pick up from the school, Arianna told me no I just need to drop off my evaluation form. I drive 40 minutes with my intent to just drop it off, come to find out I need to fill out a graduation packet before I can turn in my evaluation paper... On top of that I was expected to run around the school collecting signatures from the different offices, I was there early enough for majority of them to not even be in the building yet, so I went home. I get a phone call later that day saying they really need the evaluation paper so I need to go back... After another 40 minute drive I was finally able to collect all the signatures I needed and all I needed was to pay for my cap and gown then I could finally leave this place in the dust... I had to come back the next day because they only accept cash... Before I even drove to the school I called ahead to make sure Lisa was present on campus and she would still be there by the time I showed up. I show up and miss girl is on lunch... now they're just playing games with me at this point. They send me up to career services again wanting to collect my payment but not a single person has access to the cap and gowns. "it says in the email to come after 3pm". Unless it's typed with invisible letters do enlighten me... I beg of you not to attend this school, do not give them any amount of your money!! read more

I currently attend this school, and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO MY WORST ENEMY. Let me start from the beginning. I applied back in late March or early April and had to complete the FAFSA paperwork to get my student aid processed. They kept me waiting for weeks without replies, and I had to rewrite my statement at least ten times, which they claimed was necessary because of the FAFSA. When I finally came in one last time to turn in my paperwork, after having three different people write statements and rewriting my own, I was told to get my schedule from the front desk. To my surprise, when I arrived, I was informed that I had been DROPPED from the school, and my deposit was being returned, even though I had paid it earlier that month. This made me incredibly frustrated. When the staff member noticed my distress, she assured me they would reenroll me and send my money back. I was fine with that and returned on my first day, thinking everything was resolved. However, I didn't receive my refund check for another two months, just after my first payment was due. They never communicated anything to me, and I had to apply pressure to get a response. It wasn't until I told them I wouldn't be making any payments until I received my refund that I finally got the check less than two weeks later. That's not the only issue I'm facing. The teachers don't actually teach anything; I've watched more YouTube videos than I ever have before. The teachers gossip and are rude to anyone who doesn't flatter them. They do their assignments in a disorganized manner and completely ignore requests for help. I feel like I'm wasting my time and money here. I strongly believe that no one should attend this school. The only reason I'm here is because my aunt graduated from this institution, and I thought I would have a similar experience. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. Please avoid this place and save your money. read more

Not only do they not provide you the education you'd be paying for but once you understand you're not actually getting that education and raise the issue even more problems start to arise. As a student I had a pipe explode in my face and nothing done about it. Not even so much of an "are you ok". No lab experience and only watch YouTube videos for hours on end. I was ready to withdraw and was threatened that my EPA certification could be taken away from much I knew to be false. The best experience you'll get is during the admissions process. I STRONGLY suggest to stick to YouTube videos instead of wasting your time here it's so BAD. The tour they give in the beginning seems to fool everyone including me unfortunately. Well the campus is the issue. The curriculum & the support staff. My teacher Ms. Nya did her best to make it fun & enjoyed being in her labs & zooms. She always came in with something to wake us up & work with us. She would constantly text & call me to get my work load completed. However the campus is trash. The site its self is dirty. Admissions gets you in the door and wanting to do it. I haven't been given the proper training or consistency I thought I would receive. I had 7 instructors in 9 months because every teacher comes to the same realization. Overall good experience because I had YouTube to rely on and I've graduated, but please don't go here. the head of the HVAC dept proctored my final exam and told me at least 3 times to use my phone, so going off that this is a ridiculous spot to learn but a great place to earn a degree! read more

I would like to start by saying my instructors here were phenomenal. In fact, they are the only reason I completed this program. The administration knowingly miss leads students to get them to attend this institution. The instructors were full of knowledge and information, however This information can only be transferred so far/efficiently without adequate hands-on experience. We were often out of Equipment/tools. Along with several cancelled classes due to poor building maintenance. Lectures and YouTube university are not worth 22k. I had several concerns I would wanted to express to the administration early on but I felt unsafe to do so. I say this because a classmate of mine did express his concerns about halfway through our program. This resulted in retaliation and a counterproductive learning environment which kept me from voicing my concerns so soon. The administrators only seem to keep track of students for Attendance and survey purposes. I feel/ experienced that the instructors are not able voice their constructive opinions freely without Retaliation. After informing the administrations of my concern with the inconsistencies in the information we are provided I was not met with empathy or concern. I was informed by the administration that they have clear knowledge of "lies/miss leading" information students are told during the onboarding process. After I expressed my concerns I was met with unprofessional behavior and retaliation "Immediately". I was fails on several fronts including job placement ,inconsistent policy and procedure, counterproductive learning environment, and a clear disregard for the Student Instructor population. Honestly, I would have been better off taking $22k and giving it directly to my instructors In order to gain the experience, information, and contacts I needed to succeed . They seem to be the only individuals in this that care for the students success. Don't get scammed!! read more

You should check what kind of accreditation they have. They are only accredited by ACCET which is no better than hands on experience. I graduated as a MA and can't get RMA or CMA certification and my job requires it. This school lied to me and made me take out a loan of 20,000 that does NOTHING FOR FURTHERING MY EDUCATION. I CANT KEEP OR GET A GOOD PAYING JOB BECAUSE THEY ARE UNACCREDITED by the education board. Do your research and find a better school. Because you are basically paying 20,000 to hang out and end up with NOTHING. So if i could give -1000 stars I would. It's very misleading. They're completely unorganized, from registration on I've had nothing but issues. They tell you it's 8 hours a week, and a couple of online quizzes twice a week. It's not. They expect a 40 hour a week commitment, between labs, quizzes, reading, videos and online assignments. When you do not perform they have the instructors text you and call you, that they're in trouble with their bosses because you are not performing. If you have a family or a full time job, the time commitment is ridiculous. The instructors are nice, and of course just doing their jobs, but the organization and the expectations are absolutely atrocious!!! read more

The instructors are amateurs & would get at their own students & expect to get away with it. There are students going to this school fresh out of high school & would still do anything to get into a girls pants. They get rid of the best teachers but yet keep the worse ones around. These staff who you call "supporters" will try so hard to keep you quiet from the experiences anyone goes thru with this campus to keep a "good reputation" but it is "inappropriate" for us students to gossip? Ive heard multiple staff gossiping about a students personal life & they still think it's okay to do so. Mr. Rideau was my instructor starting off my first few months & was the greatest teacher anyone could ever ask for. he motivated me in so many ways just for me to keep going but the school ended up firing him & from there my motivation started going downhill. Other staff didn't care about encouraging me, they basically avoid any student who was in need for help. This school is dirty, unprofessional, never restock snacks for night classes, i've seen expired snacks laid out, wack electronics that never work & just end up breaking. i am currently enrolled in the medical assistant program. it is an amazing program that provides precise information to get your feet wet in the medical field. i have met so many of my best friends at UEI along with my amazing instructor, Surprise Spikes. she always make sure we are regaining the information along with doing activities that help us engaged in the learning process. the first mod is definitely the hardest because you are getting use to all the expectations that are set, but it all comes together once you develops a good routine. everyone is extremely helpful. come on down and schedule a tour today! read more

They told me that anything would be okay, I gave them what was left in my bank account. UEI Phoenix claims to be much better than they are in reality. I highly doubt that any student at the school actually pays out of pocket for the program given the fact that it is only Veterans or low income households using federal grants. (Information gathered from speaking with every student in my program.) because of this reason the school does not treat students as paying customers, but in fact as prisoners who they can set the rules for. When the school knows they will get money from the federal government, they also understand that the product they put forward does not have to reach certain standards. From the very beginning, every instructor was extremely unmotivated (if the instructors showed up for their classes). Standards were also non existent allowing students to sign in, leave for the entire day only to return in order to sign out for months at a time. Students were also put into compromising and unsafe situations on multiple occasions including death threats by previous teachers which seem to be a regular occurrence for the school. UEI management also understood the unique situation of getting guaranteed money so they are extremely unwilling to work with students regardless of their situation. Attendance was expected regardless of health, safety, or personal/family issues. When I attempted to solve issues with management they were nowhere to be found, even though they expect students to be there nonstop. Students can take tests however many times possible to ensure a passing score and on average students spend about 15 minutes to complete a weeks worth of work. Overall every aspect of this school is an absolute joke. Also when I asked to unenroll from the all future MOD's, 30 minutes later a Certifying official from UEI submitted a funding request months in advance from the VA in order to take away my option to unenroll, forcing me to stay in attendance at this awful school. I found out that's illegal and when confronting the certifying official about the situation I was completely lied to and told, "uhhhh, I have no idea about that".
