For me the friendly staff, above average equipment and close proximity to my home warrant a score of 4 stars. However with the good comes the bad. Although this gym has generally intelligent gym clientele, there are some classic negative gym archetypes like "clueless teen," "hardo," and "girl who has way too much make-up / perfume to be inside of a gym." For me, if the average of gym-goers commit gym sins like not allowing others to work-in, taking up multiple pieces of equipment, lateral raises in front of the rack, etc., the overall score of the gym takes a hit. Mixed bag, but still above average.

I write this as my tush is killing me from strength class. Classes that are offered are HITT, HITT Strength, Boxing, Kickboxing and there are personal training classes you can sign up for. You are getting killer cardio and strength Additional "super classes"...aka class from hell.... pop up Yoga and some really fun events are offered throughout the year. Always something to keep you engaged. The last thing you will be here is board with classes. You can try a class at no charge. The gym has gloves you can use for the class, so no need to worry about buying gloves just to try out a class. There are several morning and evening classes available and classes also offered on the weekend. Ladies don't let the idea of boxing/kickboxing deter you. There are lots of women in here all shapes and sizes and holy smokes do they pack a punch! All off the coaches and front staff are amazing. Friendly and so very helpful! Even members are super supportive and even though we are all DYING we are having a great time!

I've only gone twice, and they are super supportive, allow me to go at my own pace and have a very friendly staff. Amanda is so cheerful for first thing in the morning, love that energy! You will sweat and feel it, but that is the class. It's the best workout and great change from other classes or doing it on your own. In the past two weeks, my weight loss journey has been boosted and really look forward to hitting the bags hard in the future. They help you with the wraps and can loan you gloves. They are encouraging and have a very clean facility. Love it!!

I had also purchased two detox juice cleanses ($200) and 2 4-day order of overnight oats ($80) for grand total of $4,780. The prices have gone up for new customers since then. (30 sessions are now $1800) Something to keep in mind before signing. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance , they will take a session from you. So if you wake up extremely ill, and cancel 6 hours in advance of your session, they will still take the session regardless of how much money you have spent or loyalty that you have shown them. It's their "right" to do so, because it is their business and they can choose to have whatever policy they want... However, it is also the customers right to feel unappreciated and then leave the gym. Which is exactly what I did. Disappointing.

He makes sure that you use proper form and get in a great work out. The prices are very reasonable and the space is always clean. I regularly see them wiping down the equipment. I personally haven't been to a class but from what I can tell it's a very close knit community as I see members having a conversation after they complete a class. The gym is also very professional, all sessions start on time and throughout the sessions the trainer makes sure that you're okay. Jonathan the owner makes it easy to sign up for sessions and is very welcoming. I would highly recommend this gym no matter where you are in your fitness journey.

This club used to be Charter when I joined way back when and use to go to after I got off the train…read morefrom my commute downtown from my office. After two shoulder surgeries and being retired in December of 2021 decided to finally get back to my fitness regimen. Being a United HealthCare AARP member and getting my membership paid for by them decided to join without taking a tour of the club. After joining other than having Alfie as my fitness gurus who is in the process of getting me back in working order - very dissatisfied at the state of this club. Pads on machines are worn and could be easily replaced, men's bathroom/locker room is deplorable. I don't think it has been cleaned since I left charter. Smells, sewer flies all around, the mats in front of the showers haven't been picked up and cleaned 'most likely for years'. The ADA shower has the bench chained to the wall - for a older person or disabled person who would have to use it is impossible. The bathroom is a a mess - totally disgusting. The shower curtains are the same ones that were up when it was Charter Fitness years ago. Put something on top of the lockers and it was filled with dust and items left by members which was never removed or cleaned - locker are a mess inside - need to be cleaned. Totally disappointed in this club and would not recommend to anyone and would not rejoin - I only hope I am able to train with Alfie to continue regaining my fitness goals . Why spend the money to put in a useless sauna (one person fills it, two is a joke and three forget it) when the money could have been spent on cleaning and revamping the locker room so that it is sanitary - try paint and a thorough cleaning. Just to note: If you expect future members to join - forget about useless saunas and make your main concern cleanliness, general maintenance of equipment. Membership next year to this club is doubtful unless there are some major changes. Get rid of the infestation OF SEWER FLIES IN THE Men's BATHROOM and finally give it good scrub down, remove/replace the mats in front of the showers, so that a person can use without being infected by some bacteria. Totally disappointed in the state and cleanliness of this club - I hope that this review will change the manner in which this club is kept clean and maintained. If not, I will not rejoin and for prospective folks interested all up to you. But if remains in the manner in which it is I will not be back. Take a tour I wish I had - just remembered it when it was Charter Fitness years ago and the club was kept up.

When I sent an email expressing concern about the communication style they pulled me out of class, said i was disrespectful for telling them how to run their business, told me that as a single person with no responsibilities I had no business how to tell a single mom and a father of two how to run their business. The kicker for me was when the encouraged me to look into why I identifeid with a weak person (another client who they asked to leave). If you can ignore the vibe and focus on the way your body moves then you'll do better than I did here.
