The center now seems to promote special groups "sanghas". I began practicing because of the Buddhist view of non self and non identification to self, so it seems to me an antithesis to Buddhism of integration and inclusion. I also feel that communication from the center is aggressive about raising money. Volunteering is only for friends of Narayan, or so it seems because she has the final say in approving or rejecting a volunteer. In full disclosure, I have been practicing since1980 but moved away from the center to explore Tibetan Buddhism. After attending a day retreat in July I tried to reconnect by responding to a request for volunteers. I was turned down by Narayan with no explanation. That being said I am aware that many lost souls can find solace in the appearance of the projected peace at the center.

What an amazing, life changing experience! I was a little skeptical at first, but I was interested…read morein learning more about Reiki and figured time for relaxation and breathing would be beneficial regardless of anything else I experienced--and this was so much more! Lillie was kind, professional, welcoming, trauma-informed, and truly gifted. I was able to enter a deeply meditative space almost instantly with her that allowed me to safely process and release a lot of emotions and memories that I hadn't realized were hanging so heavily on me. This was intense, but she kept everything feeling safe and manageable by offering numerous options and gentle conversation throughout the session to guide me. I left feeling more myself than I had in months, and both contentedly tired and thoroughly energized. I don't understand Reiki still or how it "works", but I'm a believer now! And I never leave there without feeling satisfied with my readings. And the very last time I was there, she explained to me that not only was a healer, in a sense I could help other people more. She inspired me. I bought my first two sets of tarot cards. I bought a beautiful Wind-chime that I leave on my deck it hangs over my deck gardens. And I also I'm looking forward to taking some Reiki classes here . I'm sure many other classes I'll be interested into. I've also purchased several different stones that I carry with me in my pocketbook to protect me while I'm driving. I also put stones inside my zipped pillowcase to help me sleep and stay protected from darkness.. My favorite thing are my Sage and my cleansing candles alongside my protection spray that she recommended that smells wonderful and alongside my spirit guides protecting me, I do feel like the spray helps..
