For my job for example, if we wanted to use the field we had to select a time to reserve it for practice with whatever sport we'd be preparing for. I like this because it's organized and fair. The Baird is also where you purchase and renew your badge for the pool which convenient. The building hosts other things such a book drives and classes for kids but also houses the Pierro Gallery where many exhibits and events take place on the second floor and are too well organized. Surrounding the Baird are basketball courts and tennis courts making feel very much a part of Meadowlands park.

The building's gain faux Tudor architecture blends beautifully with its leafy, suburban surroundings, while its public restrooms are thankfully modern. Yet the glaring flaw lies in its older plumbing: The original restrooms, located in the event space, appear to be suffering from a lack of maintenance. On a recent visit, a plastic bucket had been placed under the leaky water fountain. Few people enjoy paying for maintenance and repairs, even though the alternative is far more costly in the long term. For the sake of Maplewood residents, I hope the proper officials take steps to remedy this jewel.

This afternoon, my partner and I arrived at the Woodland, located off of Woodland Road in Maplewood, to celebrate Lunar Fest NJ 2024--Maplewood Arts & Culture. Completed in 1930, the Georgian Revival-style mansion and adjoining auditorium have been a hub for Maplewood's vibrant cultural and civic life for over eight decades. The unique event features lion dance, performances representing Chinese, Mongolian, Thali, and Korean cultures, children's activities, and delicious food trucks, which brought out the crowd.

But the most infuriating aspect of the parking situation is the number of spots unusable for the general public, which are labeled "24-hour parking permit required," Are you kidding?? I had to gingerly back out of a prohibited spot and circle the neighborhood (most of whose streets had "no parking anytime" signs) for 10 minutes before finding a spot where I could park. Your facility needs to expand the available parking immediately. I advise any group considering holding an event at the Woodland to physically view the parking situation before booking an event.

Guest was arriving with no where for them to be until. I asked was a Marquis there, because that's who the family dealt with, and he was no where around. The rest of the staff seemed to have no clue to his whereabouts. Wasn't pleased at all. What happened to the pregnant lady?? She was really nice my very first time coming there.
