Beetlejuice Rating: 8.6/10 THIS SHOW WAS AMAZING!! Beetlejuice was great. He was my favorite thru out the play which I guess that's why he's the main character. The dancing was amazing. So much talented singers in the cast. The theater transitions were smooth and entertaining. Not a single dull moment of the show. Just know they sell water for $6. Soda is $10.

Such a pretty place with beautiful lights installations and Christmas musics. Amazon go is on the first floor and the district is on the ground floor (a French area where you can find French products and a French restaurant). There is an ice rink just outside the building and you can walk along the water outside in battery park and take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty (or take the ferry to states in island for free and have a closer look at the Statue of Liberty)

The Winter Garden is indoor magic! It's an atrium with stairs you can sit on and a landing that gets you to shopping. There's always an interesting display to captivate you visually. On my last visit during the holiday season, I was greeted by Luminaries, hanging lighted cubes that change color based on a users touch on two large cubes on the landing. **Tip** enter and through The Oculus mall lower level straight across to The Winter Garden located inside Brookfield Place mall. To access, take the stairs up on the right.

Lovely area with tons of sunlight & seating, though the water fountains can be hard to find. And expensive shops surrounds the area.

The back 'outside' seating was covered from the elements, but light and bright with plenty of greenery. A very pretty space to dine. I had pappardelle bolgenese with fresh parm grated tableside was the best! One of my all time favorite meals. My daughter had tortellini alfredo which she loved. I'm very sensitive to salt and am known for undersalting my own cooking, so I rarely think food is under-seasoned. But it genuinely felt like no salt was used in the kitchen here. We came for my birthday, and my partner only selected "birthday" on the reservation because the reservation app specifically asked whether we were celebrating an occasion. We were not requesting a birthday dessert or any special treatment. Then, when we arrived, our server asked if we were celebrating anything, and we simply answered, "Yes." A little later, the server brought out a scoop of ice cream that we never ordered, requested, or even hinted that we wanted. To our surprise, we were then charged $12 for it. At no point did anyone mention that the dessert was an item we would be paying for. Had we known it wasn't complimentary, we never would have indicated it was my birthday on the reservation or answered the server's question. We didn't even eat the ice cream because we hadn't wanted dessert in the first place. Rather than make a scene, we paid the charge, but it left a very negative impression. It's frustrating to be billed for something you never ordered, especially when the only reason your birthday was mentioned at all was because the reservation app and the server asked. A birthday shouldn't result in an unexpected charge for an unsolicited dessert.

She was warm during our initial tour, but once the contract was signed, communication became inconsistent and every conversation felt combative and unnecessarily rude. From the beginning, our timeline was a 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM open bar, using the Triplex until 11:00 PM and the Speakeasy from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM, which we'd rented for an additional $2,500. It was the timeline we developed with 632's own preferred caterer, and everything else, including catering, music, late-night food, and vendor schedules, was built around it. Then, less than a month before the wedding, Karen said she had decided she wasn't okay with eight hours of bar service anymore. Nothing had changed except her mind. We were suddenly forced to either cut cocktails during cocktail hour or shorten our after-party, despite already paying for both. We tried to find a compromise. Every suggestion was shut down. In the end, we spent thousands more booking a separate after-party venue, while also eating the cost of vendors like our DJ and photographer, whose hours had already been scheduled and paid for based on the original timeline. By the end of it all, we were so mentally drained that we didn't even do our rehearsal at the venue because we couldn't deal with another interaction. Then it took seven weeks and multiple follow-up emails just to get our security deposit back. If you value being treated with respect during one of the most important events of your life, look elsewhere. The venue is gorgeous. The owner is not someone you want to deal with.

The owner of this venue made our wedding planning experience an absolute nightmare. These are just…read morea few of the many issues we dealt with throughout the process. Just 26 days before our wedding, after 11 months of planning around a 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM open bar, Karen (the owner/operator) told us she was no longer okay with the timeline she'd known about from the very beginning. There wasn't a licensing issue or a staffing issue. She simply decided that eight hours of bar service was "too much." We suddenly had to choose between serving cocktails during cocktail hour or having drinks at our after-party, even though we'd already paid $2,500 for the Speakeasy specifically for that purpose. We even offered to cancel the Speakeasy and either receive a refund or apply the $2,500 toward our bar package. Instead of having a reasonable conversation, Karen threatened to get her lawyers involved. From there, we were left scrambling to find another after-party venue less than a month before the wedding, while still paying for vendors like our DJ and photographer whose schedules had already been built around the original timeline. There was no way to recover those costs. One last-minute decision ended up costing us thousands of dollars. Another moment that perfectly sums up what it was like working with Karen happened the night before our wedding. We had requested Bud Light be added to our beverage package a full year earlier, and it had already been approved, invoiced, and paid for. Then, while we were at our rehearsal dinner, Karen emailed saying she had misquoted the price and that we now owed $200 immediately instead of the $45 we'd already paid, or the beer would be returned. It wasn't about the $200. It was the timing. Who creates a last-minute issue the night before someone's wedding over something that had been settled weeks earlier? And frankly, $200 for two cases of Bud Light is ridiculous. The building is beautiful. But if we had the chance to do it all over again, we'd choose a different venue without hesitation.

The staff overheard we were celebrating a birthday and offered us each a complimentary drink after we had already closed out so that we could do a birthday cheers (since one person doesn't drink, one of the complimentary sparkling drinks was also non-alcoholic). Since it was right next to where I was leaving my friends, I decided to see if I could get a seat at the bar without a reservation. I checked in with the host and she said they had room. So no rezzie needed that night when solo. The bar area is very dark and intimate. I only had time for one drink and decided on the one above. It was nicely balanced. I'm a whisky girl, especially rye, so I enjoyed sipping on this. A nice stop on the way to diner. I was here years ago, but that experience is a little hazy. Glad I was able to revisit. REVIEW #4002
