I recently got a haircut from Julio and it was literally the worst haircut I have gotten in my entire life. I went to Great Clips one time previously and I got a better cut there. It wasn't even remotely like the picture I showed him of the cut I wanted, I specifically told him I didn't want it short on top (and he butchered me on top) and it was so uneven - by like an inch in several places. I had to return the next day to get the uneven part straightened out, but he had cut so much off there was not a lot to work with. He is totally incompetent and I will never let him near my hair again. Check out my review on google as you will see the after pictures. I went to get my hair done with Julio at the salon in Anderson, SC on August 24, 2017. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he said "I can do that for you no problem." He ended up leaving bleach in my hair for at least an hour and forty minutes. I would later find out from his coworkers that he left the bleach in twice the maximum time allowed by the manufacturer, which says only 50 minutes max. My hair was destroyed. He took my natural base of 4 to a 12 on its second time being bleached. It has been falling out in clumps. I asked for a soft ombre with a natural blend, but he decided to give me straight lines through my hair. I managed to get a refund from the store uncontested, but still have over a foot of hair missing from my hair, that originally went all the way down to my butt, directly because of Julio's negligence. I had to go to another salon to get my hair fixed. This salon says that they have had 4 clients come in the last month for color corrections from Ulta--specifically, victims of Julio. Julio's coworker even says that she fixes his botched coloring jobs all the time, yet this Ulta does not fire him. Doing a bit of research, I discovered that Julio has been working at this salon location for longer than he has had a legal license to practice cosmetology in South Carolina. Ulta ended up filing a claim through their liability insurance. For the sake of your hair: stay the hell away. This Anderson Co. Ulta is a shame to all Ulta's in the US. Everytime I come in the employees are rude, standing around talking, too incompetent to help you. The lights in here are so poor, where every other Ulta has bright lights (and WAY BETTER displays), much more organized than this mess. I understand Anderson is trash, but please do better about employing people who actually understand make up. If you cant do that, there shouldn't be an Ulta in Anderson. Period. read more

My last visit was before Christmas and was awesome. The guy who help me out to find the make up I needed did a great job! I spent a lot of money on getting extensions and color to my hair to make them look like crap so I went to ulta and even though it was a holiday weekend plus a Saturday probably the busiest day of the week I meet a hair dresser that goes by the name Tutti Fruitti he was very perfessional and just did everything he could to fix my last hairdresser mess ! I really didn't know what colors to go with so I totally trusted him I told him just to fix it and make me look beautiful lol anyways he went over and beyond any hair dresser I have ever worked with I would soooo recommend him ! Seriously he was a miracle worker ! He will be my hairdresser for life :) read more

I am so disappointed. The first few times I saw Julio he did a great job with my hair. I made an appointment and then received a phone call that he wouldn't be available. I changed my appointment to this afternoon which wasn't convenient but I wanted my hair done. I arrived about 5 minutes early and didn't see Julio. Another stylist asked and I told her my name and that I had an appointment with Julio. She told him but I watched as he started someone else. I waited, thinking he may have gotten behind from trying to catch up from being gone. I waited 45 minutes!!! Several others came and talked to him and he walked right by me and said Hi but that was it. I walked out after waiting 45 minutes and not even being acknowledged or told if I was in his queue. I double checked my text that Ulta had sent me asking to confirm date and time. Julio was incredibly expensive but I was willing to pay for good service. Needless to say I will NOT be returning. read more

I took a chance by getting a haircut here since there were no reviews. But I'm so glad I did! I got an amazing cut, style and blowout by Amy and couldn't be happier. For her honest consultation and meticulous work, I think $37 for the cut and style was an absolute steal. I'll definitely be going back! I've also had Barbara do my brows at the Benefit Brow Bar and she's fantastic. read more

I will never be back to the Ulta in Anderson. 90% of their workers are rude and very annoying. If you don't need help and are in a hurry to get out of there, they won't take no for an answer and seem like they get mad if you won't let them "help" you.
