Do NOT shop here! On June 1, 2026 - Someone stole nearly $500 worth of my points at this location WITHOUT Ulta employees checking the ID (I don't even live in MI nor have I been there recently) and went as far as changing my address (added photo) to a Detroit location to further commit theft and ship the items that they added to the shopping cart. I called about their policy to protect consumers instead of employees and they said they would investigate. I have yet to hear anything back from their GM, as their assistant manager, Miranda had promised. Miranda later called me on 6/8 "by mistake" for an advisor position and told me the GM would still call me once she was back in store. Although the points have since been replaced, it seems as if this is either a regular occurrence or they do not find this to be a serious matter with the way they're handling the situation. Not only have I not received any updates, I haven't received any information on the employee that (likely) was working with the scammer. This company and this location obviously do not care about the consumers being protected from fraud and theft. do not waste your money. Edit** I would also appreciate if your employees Miranda Whitcomb and Sophie Haynes would not have their racist, misogynistic significant other Walter Plentis Jr. or any person in general harass me on my personal Facebook page. I am very surprised I never reviewed this place! I go here all of the time, I am quite sure they recognize me, I am a regular. I love their rewards program, I was able to purchase some stocking stuffer goodies for pennies! I typically get all of my fragrances here, most of my makeup, many of the kid's presents.....etc....I am very excited they have their holiday 5 for $5 items. My child loves the Ulta lip oil. She buys it all year and really loved the Disney themed ones. I was able to get a few for a $1 each! I like their holiday special deals with getting a bag or a blanket. Honestly, I use every bag I get here, usually as an overnight bag or beach bag. And we use all of the blankets we get here too, they are great to throw on the couch when it is chilly outside. I also like their birthday prizes, we use them every year. I got a wonderful mascara this year. The people who work here have always been pleasant, helpful, and professional. Today I used the salon services to get a hair treatment done. Just a simple deep conditioning. My original hair stylist was unable to get me in until the following month (no bigge) I figured I'd stop here. Sadly, I had a horrible experience with Annie a master stylist. She never introduced her self, never made me feel welcomed and felt like she was in a rush. She was very aggressive when washing and applying the treatment I was hoping this was a little more relaxing 25 min. After blowing trying my hair she left it a mess, and didn't take the time to do my part. I understand this did not come with an extensive blow out but still treat any client respectfully and allow them to use the mirror to do so no need to rush them out the door when I had a scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, I can't recommend her and will not be returning to this specific ulta for any services or products. read more

This Ulta was the ultimate. So often I accompany my wife as she searches the shelves and repackaged product. But not here. The staff was incredible and helped us from the moment we walked in. Amy was the best. She found all that was needed and so kind. And she even had her foot immobilized with a stress fracture. This girl is awesome and should be the CEO of Ulta. I stopped into Ulta after having a few hours of free time. I saw a product on someone's beauty blog and was hoping to find it. After spending some time hunting, I asked a sales person (they did greet me at the door, but I declined assistance) and she was incredibly helpful. She looked through all of the shelves, checked up front. We couldn't find it BUT she showed me equivalents and talked about the product she used. She found a trial version of a product she like that was much cheaper rather than buying the larger bottle. I sometimes feel intimidated because I don't wear much makeup or use a lot of beauty products, but she made me feel at ease. Checkout was quick and painless- they did offer me a card as i was preapproved, but I poitely declined and there was no further talk of it. I'll definitely be back when I need assistance- there is one opening in White Lake and I am really hopeful they are just as great. read more

I had an appointment at the Brow Bar with Stacy but she took a walk in instead, waited a while to acknowledge me, and then asked if I had an appointment. I said yes. At that point she turned around and said nothing. She went right back to what she was doing so I asked another person, who confirmed that, yes I had an appointment that they somehow forgot, and asked me to wait for half an hour and go next. I had a work appointment to get to, so I did not get my eyebrows done. That was my second unsuccessful attempt at booking an appointment here. Don't book appointments at Ulta. Just buy your makeup, use your coupons and get out of Ulta. If you actually need a service done, go someplace with higher standards for quality of service. read more

I've been to this location a few times and have been disappointed. The product selection isn't as good as at the other SE MI stores. I'm not sure if this has to do with the proximity to Pontiac, however, the Costco and other nice stores attract a good shopping demographic so one would think that might merit higher end brands. I can't speak to the salon or make-up artist staff, however the salespeople seemkind of brusque and they can be slow at the register. Also, when I went in last time more than half the lights were off and it was really hard to see. I even had to use the flashlight on my phone to discern product colors. I'll still visit this store when I need something and am nearby but wouldn't ever go out of my way to visit the Bloomfield location. Farmington Hills is much nicer. read more

Score! Took away one star because I kept trying to buy stuff and the one available lady kept leaving me mid sentence to check on others--- I was like wtf just finish me up! Between August & December I was looking for a new home for my hair. I have found it. I have had color/highlights & blow dry/styles done by both Erin V & the Salon Manager, Christina. They are both amazing. Christina especially knew how to style my hair so that it turned out soft, silky & still had body. I have super thick, wavy hair & a LOT of it. I looked like a Wella girl when I left the salon. Every one there is kind professional & to be honest I forgot what it felt like to be treated with such kindness & respect considering the fact that I am paying for a service. They are so unwelcoming they're borderline HOSTILE. I'm a sephora customer but I decided to try ULTA because they're conveniently located only 5 minutes from my home. The first time I went in there the customer service was ok. Nothing stellar but acceptable. The 2nd time I went in there they pretty much ignored me. If they were busy it would have been understandable but there were probably only 2 other people in there. The 3rd time same experience. The 4th (and last time) I went in there the brow technician practically glared at me. I was going to buy the $50 product she recommended but out of principal I didn't. I'm going back to sephora!! There is usually only 1 cashier at the register and at least 3 or 4 associates on the floor. If you ask them to open another register they say no. They need to improve their customer service. Stacy did my eyebrows at the brow bar and absolutely massacred them. Once she showed me the final look, I told her that they were uneven and I was unhappy and she proceeded to say that they were even, failing to listen to me. The fact that I paid $25 for her to take off half of my eyebrow, leaving one thick and the other extremely thin, is appalling. Ulta should either better train their staff or go out of business. It's funny that I am writing a review on another Ulta employee already mentioned! I had the most rewarding experience at Ulta with Gabriella! I asked about the best selling mascara for the least amount of money and she showed be the high end best sellers and less expensive "copy cat" brands. I bought the less expensive version of my usual high end mascara and I JUST LOVE IT! every bit as good as the high end stuff but for less than half the price! I got excited over this and she showed me the same thing with my foundation. Gabriella even gave me a sample of a high end foundation and its less expensive cousin to take home and compare for myself! Fantastic service and assistance. I've done alot of online shopping through Ulta in the past, as there are no stores in my area. So, I was so excited to make the stop here. There aren't price tags on hardly any of the products, I was left confused. When one of the sales girls came up and asked if she could help with anything, I asked about pricing and her words were, "You'll have to take it up to the front".....ok? So all of the products that I'm looking at I'll need to take up the the counter if I want to know the cost? Right. A lot of the products have also been opened or used already, so I found myself digging to try and find makeup that hasn't been tampered with. When I get up to the counter with my things, I asked the girl to do a price check on one of the items for me, her response was "What's your phone number?" I told her I didn't want to have my number put in their system, I just want to know how much this costs. Complete attitude change. She got really rude, you would have thought I kicked her dog by the look on her face. This place is awful, worst shopping experience by far.
