Interesting beginning to the story you say? It is.... please read on. My girlfriend gave me a gift card a while back to Yankee Candle and although I love BBW candles, I was intrigued by a candle my girlfriend included in her gift. Long story short, I had a $25 gc and it was burning a hole in my pocket.... er, pursue. Upon arrival to the store, I was super stoked by the halloween selection already available! Hubby and I had to smell tons of candles and check out all the goods. After much discussion, we finally decided on a quirky resin pumpkin. When we were checking out, I swiped my gift card. ... only to find nothing from the card came off the bill. I handed the cashier my gift card that has never been used.... she swiped it a couple times and she said the account was closed- super unfortunate considering there should have been $25 on the card. No need to worry the cashier or cause a stink, I thanked her but left the store with nothing in hand. Subsequently, I called the number on the back of the card and they also told me the account was closed. So, I ended up emailing Yankee Candle (I will post my email soon) and ultimately, they were not any help AND they are rather insulting. They only told me to call the store. After a couple of calls to the store, they confirmed it was a system glitch and offered for me to come back to the store (don't worry it is about an hour away) and pick up my merchandise. The store was helpful and accommodating but based on the horrible customer service from corporate, I won't be back. My go to store will be Bath and Body Works again.....

They also have incense and candles, home decor, clothing, wooden items, dreamcatchers, toys, and music items. We were playing with a large rain stick and the babies loved it. A young guy working at the counter came over and explained a few of the cool wooden items that they had. He had a lot of knowledge about the items. It was such a fun experience to see all of the different types of unique items. We will definitely be back!

The place is so charming…read moreand I was excited to be greeted by not only human staff but two adorable, friendly cats as well. The space is cozy and full of beautiful items to look at and purchase. One of the staff helped me figure out how to use the infinite stone I purchased for pain relief and it worked wonders for me. Especially for a small business, prices were fair and I'm happy to support a business that I feel is deserving! I will definitely be back when I'm in the area next.

Compared to the higher end eau de parfum like Gucci or Dior that can cost over $100, the Sol products are well priced and fun sprays for every day use. We also came for some Too Faced mascara which looks very nice. Since I use a variety of products, usually from Ulta, this is a nice option. Especially since some of the products are Sephora exclusive, like the Sol products. The reason for the three stars is for the Sephora corporation and not the individual store. The store is great! It is for their costumer program. At Ulta, for every $100 you spend, you earn $3 back. That is not hard to do, things cost a lot of money right now, and it you have people with, for instance, long hair, you spend a lot of shampoo, conditioner, maybe face products, and other essential items you need for daily hygiene. So, I get back that 3% once I hit that hundo. But Sephora will only give you a voucher after purchasing $500 worth of products! That is insane. You get a $10 voucher which will only cost you a little more than $300 at Ulta. This means, I would rather spend my money at Ulta as a consumer. They both seem to offer free shipping, but still, Ulta wins on this level. Stating the above, I do enjoy shopping in person and like the vibe of this store and this mall. So they will see me around often.
