As you can see she literally made something out of nothing. This was a tint and a tiny bit of fill in with one of the Benefit products. Took about 20 minutes. Stayed put too! Regular customer here and I use to get my eyebrows down often but the benefit brow artist moved away. Since then getting my eyebrows done here has been a terrible experience especially today. I scheduled an appointment and was told when I came in that their brow artist was on vacation and a hair stylist would wax my brows but they only waxed and did nothing else. I usually love Ulta but recently this location has just brought the entire experience downhill for me. The store always seems to be a little bit dirty/messy and they always seem to be short on staff. On my recent trip I noticed that in the women's restroom someone had simply stuck a giant roll of toilet paper where purses are normally supposed to hang...it was not put inside the toilet paper dispenser. In addition to this, when checking out with my purchase, an employee by the name of Alexis barked at me "PHONE NUMBER!" the minute I stepped up to the register and said hello. This is not the first time I have experienced crabby employees but this time it seemed to be even worse. It's such a shame because every other Ulta location I have been to the staff are always amazing and beyond kind but this one has me running back to Sephora. read more

My experience started out by be given a dirty shopping bag when I first walked in. No thank you. I was looking for a red kiss proof lipstick, so I swatched on my hand..of course no tissues or remover anywhere. I stood in line for 20 minutes because all the registers were either broken or logged in under someone else's name. Some poor girl was still at register when I left because apparently it's impossible to figure out gift cards. I asked at the register if they had some tissues and they simply replied no (really at a cosmetics store!?). Look, I get Carbondale is a practice town, but seriously, get your poop in a group. read more

I went to this ulta store because I needed new products. WORST customer service I have ever received, the employees were rude, not at all helpfull at the store was a mess. First i I walked in and was not greeted (okay not the biggest deal), then I needed help (yea good luck there; the employees are always so busy gossiping they can't be bothered) down hill from there. My suggestion if you need any beauty products go to Sephora, the girls are nicer and actually do their job and provide customer service. Will not be returning. read more

I don't usually do reviews but i feel like this store needs one. I work at a an Ulta in Alabama and we accept anyone who walks through the door, weather they are 15 or 70 years old. We don't care what you look like we are there to help with your makeup needs. My grandma is from southern Illinois and the closet store to her is the one in Carbondale so I told her to just go to that one and they will help her get color matched for a new brand of foundation. She went on saying, "but are they going to judge me because I'm old and have wrinkles"? I told her no because this company is great and we are always here to help anyone. About 20 minutes after she went into the store she called me crying because not ONE single employee acknowledged her, they completely ignored her because of her age. She also said there were three employees behind the counter just laughing and hanging out and the store was filthy. This store is an EMBARRASSMENT to the company. You have lost what have would been a forever costumer Carbondale, IL Ulta. This will be brought to corporate. read more

Extremely rude, every time I tried to ask a question the associates snapped at me like I was bothering them. I was followed throughout the store while the associates were talking crap about me as I shopped. For the price of their products; I should be able to shop in peace. Also, I noticed that the cashier was writing down personal information off my rewards card which frankly is an invasion of private information. I am from out of town, but I will never be back to that store location. They were absolutely horrible & did not care for their costumers. Hire better associates. read more
