Fucking bomb. Haven't been here for a long time but decided to treat myself. I asked if they had alcohol and my nail tech ran down to Westroads and bought 2 mini bottles of champagne. No doubt I upgraded to hot stone massage from Mama Lee. Good times had by all.

You can see the difference in shape

All of my toe nails are a different shape. The people were nice just not very good at doing toes.

The red nail polish in the cracks of my nail is what was left of my old manicure that they never fully removed.

Worst manicure experience ever. The guy doing my nails did not fully remove my old nail polish and proceeded to laugh at my nails. Very snarky under tones from the staff working there for the entire duration of my manicure. I could tell he was talking about me to the other workers. I got the dip powder on my nails expecting that they wouldn't use the light to cure the nail since in the past, that is how it has been. He pulled out the light and I questioned him about it since I'm not a fan of having my hands exposed to that type of light. After explaining to me that they always do that for dip, which again, has never been the case all of the times I've been there prior, he shook his head and laughed. I'll never be going back.

Usually go here because the other nail shops in town are too crowded. Some people do nails better than others but they are still mediocre. The owner and her husband complained that since my nails were long it took too long to do them, when he could have been on another client. They complained and said little snarky comments. If your job is to do nails why are their complaints?

Last manicure here ever. I needed a professional looking french mani. Before we started I asked for just a little length off and the same shape I came in with. The technician went overboard filing down the sides or my nails to the point the were not a good shape for a french and definitely not the shape I requested. So, I chose a plain color, light pink. No indication it was going to be sheer, but it was and looked awful. They offered to remove and change the color but I had already spent an hour and a half there and was just done.

Been here multiple times and it's always one issue or the other but this time it is so atrocious it deserves a review. It was busy, and that's ok, however after waiting for our service for over one hour, a couple walks in and they take them for their pedicure after 15 minutes. After pointing this out, they finally take us back. We had picked out our shellac colors for our manicures and it is customary everywhere else I've been for them to find the complimentary regular polish for the pedicure but the tech actually told me to go find the polish myself because it is scattered all over the store. Albeit, they did do it for the lady sitting next to me, after asking if she'd like anything to drink, a courtesy I wasn't offered...hmm . I would definitely urge you to read other reviews regarding the discrepancies with how they treat "various" customers. Finally, I asked not to have the drill used for removal of my shellac as it's quite terrible for your nails. I have been choosing this for over 5 years of the 10 I've been getting shellac done, and it has never been an issue. The following is what they left me with. They stated they can't do it without the drill....but mind you I have been here before (multiple times) and they did it with no problem. All that's needed is to re-wrap it and let it soak for a bit longer. The most basic concept or shellac removal. As a nail business, how do you let a customer leave your store with THIS??? To cap it off, the owner proceeds to roll her eyes at me, snicker and say to another customer "It must be a full moon". No professionalism or common courtesy whatsoever. I kept coming back in the past because it is conveniently located. If you like the health of your nails or need basic courtesy with your service, run. Go to T Nails. They fixed it in less than 10 minutes.

FINALLY!!!! I've moved here last year from NYC and have been looking ALL over for a nail salon who offers the SNS Powder Dip technique. CaliforniaPro just started using it. (If you don't know about it then google it or watch on You tube...it's the BEST) Benefits: -last longer than Shellac - healthier than Shellac (organic with vitamin E, A & Calcium) - No need for UV LIGHTS - Dries INSTANTLY!! Thank you Vivienne, Lena and staff for being the ONLY nail salon in southern Illinois to bring this to your customers Note: a little bit pricier than shellac but again, the benefits speak for itself.

My family and I have been going here for a few years as a group. Good times and great nails!

Another great service at California Pro!! They were swamped today and for good reason, these nails are definitely photo worthy!!
