I can't say enough about Amany at Ulta Salon in Collegeville--she has truly been turning back time for me for years. I'm turning 57, and I consistently get told I look like I'm in my early 40s (sometimes even late 30s). Maybe people are being kind--but honestly, I think Amany deserves a lot of the credit. She is a true expert in hair extensions, color, and cut. My extensions are completely undetectable, comfortable, and easy to maintain--not just on salon day, but every single day. She doesn't just do your hair... she designs it around you. But what really proved how exceptional she is was what she did for my husband. After a night out, he admitted something he normally wouldn't--he felt old. His hair had gone too white, and he just didn't feel like himself anymore. Someone had even mistaken him for "the older guy in the office who doesn't look so good for his age," and it really stuck with him. I told him, "You have to go see Amany. This is what she does." From the moment he sat in her chair, she assessed everything--his face shape, head shape, coloring--and created a look he never would have imagined for himself. At one point, even another stylist questioned her approach, and she confidently said she was intentionally leaving a touch of white in the front for dimension and style. When he came home, I was honestly blown away. He looked incredible--cool, modern, confident. Think if Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran walked into a room with a fresh, updated style--that level of transformation. He couldn't stop looking in the mirror all night, which I hadn't seen in years. He kept saying the color looked lighter (it wasn't--he just wasn't used to not seeing so much white). But what mattered was how he felt. He looked like the man I met 26 years ago. I wanted to get my hair re-colored a bright red and Paulina gave me exactly what I wanted and more. The fading into my natural hair color looks perfect and she mixed the perfect red based on what I told her I wanted. I have very fine hair so I'm always worried about lightening it, but it wasn't damaged at all. Paulina was really friendly and kept me updated on what she was doing and the amount of time she thought various steps would take. I've had so many compliments, I'm in love with how it looks. . I'm always so uncomfortable with how pushy the cashiers at Ulta are about pushing the Ulta credit card, but this location made me never want to shop in-store again. My cashier tried to get me to open a store credit card in the pushiest possible way six times while I was checking out and I just kept having to say no thank you. She wouldn't take no for an answer and it was an incredibly uncomfortable situation. I really wish Ulta would stop pushing this card to much-it makes for an awful shopping experience and makes the company come off as very predatory towards customers. read more

tonight I went to Ulta I had to ask for help and then wait for five minutes before somebody finally came to help no one was in the store so it wasn't like they were helping somebody else. I asked the girl to find my foundation she couldn't find it. I asked her for the closest match she showed me the closest match and then said they didn't have that either and said oh we're sorry we have to restock. Alright, I'm so picky about who does my hair. I have lost my hair to immunotherapy so my new growth is extremely delicate. I stuck with my previous stylist for 5 years until I moved across the country. I wanted extensions while waiting for the rest of my hair to come in and to even it out. I was referred to Jenna and oh my freaking gosh. She is a magician when it comes to giving you your dream hair. She is outstanding and I will honestly never ever see another stylist. I could move 4 hours away and I'd still find a way to see her and have her do my hair. She is not only so extremely talented and knowledgeable, but she is the sweetest person! I could talk to her for hours! She gave me the hair of my dreams and absolutely put in 150% of her effort into making it look fantastic. She kept in mind the quality of my hair and made sure that whatever she was doing or recommended to me wouldn't compromise my hair or future growth in any way. I'm so excited to have a stylist that gives me my hair goals and listens to what I want and doesn't stop until we obtain it. Disappointing I went here with my daughter for our birthday and and customer service was horrible. A women named I think Kyle was a cashier and we came with our items and since it was our birthday month we told her and she said if my daughter has an account to get her gift. My daughter is 11. She kept on arguing and arguing. She was also saying we can't just walk in here and get a gift if it's our birthday. The ad on the speakers said we could? Both the associate and manager were ignorant, rude, and condescending to the teenage girls to the point my daughter called me almost in tears. Hello, I went in to your Collegeville pa store for an appointment to go blonde. I walked out with purple roots, orange banding, balding, loss of hair. I have been coming to the ulta salon for years and had fantastic experience. I decided to try someone new because my usual stylist was booked for the holidays. Not only did the stylist not inform me of my hair falling out (I had to point out the top half of my head was an inch long now) , my scalp is now burned and I went home in tears. This was an absolutely horrible experience and I feel truly violated. I am unsure of what to do moving forward short of shaving my whole head. RIP OFF!! One star rating is too much! My daughter booked her appointment with a "master stylist" for $67 and I accompanied her. My daughter has long thick hair, and since I was paying, I was told that it would be $77 because of this. She also proceeded to tell me if she cut it "dry" be $67. My daughter showed her a picture, and the stylist maybe took 10 minutes to basically thin out her hair by putting random layers in it. My sister came here to get her eyebrows done. She's had them waxed many times, without issue. This last time they ripped off her skin on BOTH EYES. As I waited in line the women before me had bought 2 things, the cashier asks her if she would like a free sample. She offered things like face cream,sun block, lip care etc. I got up in line and get through with my purchase and I asked for the free gift that was advertised all over the devacurl section. She told me no, they are out of the free gift. I asked her if I could have a sample then of what the lady before me got, she told me no, that lady bought basically nothing.. Had a hair and makeup appt in king of Prussia ulta. 2 hours before my appt the salon called to tell me they had to cancel as my stylist to do my makeup and hair got a bad case of vertigo. While the salon was extremely apologetic they did not have a back up or anyone to be able to do both but she was trying to "call around." FAST FORWARD past that annoying incident which pulled me into panic mode- I called ulta in collegeville and immediately Amany Dewes who is a master stylist said come in now and I will take care of you! Do not get your eyebrows done here! Every time I went I would tell here to not make them thin and she would almost wax the entire thing off each time going pencil thin. She was very helpful with finding a product my daughter was looking for, though, and went above and beyond to accommodate her needs.
