I had a very uncomfortable experience at Store #546 today (March 6, 2026). After leaving the store and walking to my car, an employee followed me into the parking lot and took photos of my license plate. No explanation was given for why they were doing this. Being followed outside by an employee and having photos taken of my vehicle felt intimidating and unnecessary. I had already left the store and the interaction inside had ended. Customers should not feel like they are being monitored or followed when leaving a business. This kind of behavior is very concerning from a customer service and safety standpoint. Bad customer service never had such a difficult experience with a curbside order that was only two items. Staff was rude and unhelpful very lazy and confused people working here not sure if they are under the influence. After the COVID19 restrictions Ulta Beauty is now open to the public as well as their hair salon. After many attempts I noticed their website has many flaws one of them you cannot make online appointments but once in Ulta they confirmed I did make a costumer account. The store is clean and beautiful. You find high quality cosmetics and hair products. Their staff is VERY knowledgeable and are happy to help you. Absolutely love Ulta Beauty!! They always have a great selection of products for all your needs! Even though its not my favorite beauty store, they have a good variety of different companys that can suit many peoples favorites. Theres also a very good selection of clearance items, such as today with things like skin care, false eyelashes, dry shampoo, lip balm, and many more! If youre a subscriber, you also get emails of great coupons either online or in store. I dont tune in enough to know the specifics but there is one such as getting 2 full mascaras for $30 but from Benefit only. Not a fan of Benefit so it didnt really help me but im sure those who are into it can.... benefit?.... i kill me ^_^ And whats always great is how non intimidating the girls can be here to help you find your color or shades. God help those who are brave enough to go to the MAC counter or store girls. They can eat you and your wallet alive! They usually have a tactful way of pressuring you to buy things in order for them to make sales. Ulta employees are paid hourly so it doesnt make a difference if they sell that much. My mom and I go to this Ulta only because of our brow gal, Adriana! She is incredible at what she does. Even though we've been going to her for about 2 years, she still takes her time with us and maps out how she will wax our eyebrows every single time. She always does a wonderful job and we always get complimented on our eyebrows. She is also so friendly and makes us feel comfortable every time we go in with her. Super helpful employees here - and a clean store with a comfy chair for waiting by the salon! I dropped in to see if they had a couple of products I needed and they were out of one of the items. I sat down to check on my phone if one of the other Ultas in town had what I needed and nobody rushed me out, despite not actually purchasing anything. One of the girls working there offered to help order anything I needed and have it shipped to me but unfortunately I needed it that day. Okay so the first part of my review is for the Benefit Brow Bar. April is a brow goddess. I trust no one else. She does tinting and waxing for my brows and they're seriously on point. No matter what I look like I get at least one complement a day on my brows. She's so passionate about what she does. The store itself is my favorite Ulta, hands out. So clean and organized. Went here today 3/13/18 with my friend for the very first time. Keep in mind I'm pregnant minding my own business looking At some lipgloss. This worker who is a male, tall, wearing a white jacket was very rude to me! He rudely told me excuse me when he clearly had enough space to walk around me. I told him he didn't need to be rude about it and he proceeded to tell me that he had asked me to move twice. He made me feel very uncomfortable. A little over 18 months ago I started growing my hair out and this was my first time at Ulta looking for some basic care products. Normally I would feel overwhelmed but their associate Christian saw me walk in and didn't hesitate to offer help. I explained to him I was looking for a serum to help manage tangles and that I would prefer natural ingredients but was open to other options. He took the time to explain what brands were stocked and their pros and cons based on my particular needs. After he guided me through a couple aisles I was confident with one of the suggested serums as well as a dry shampoo to try out for my first time. Overall, it only took about 15 minutes to find me what I needed. The checkout line was another story. If you want your time wasted, by all means visit this store. With the 21 days of beauty event, I called about a product that was on sale today. Confirmed with a Christina that their was availability. I was already headed towards the store and was close. 5 minutes away. I get there, seems busy. Found the product display only to find out everything was sold out! Why would Christina tell me there was plenty of product left when I called? Mind you this store is in an inconvenient place with all the traffic and closures that are around it. I don't understand why their sales people aren't honest. A simple no would've sufficed. The clerk that helped me offered to order the product online but I declined. Made an appointment with Carol for a haircut, and received a phone call less than an hour before confirming my appointment with a different stylist. When I told the woman calling that my appointment was with Carol, it turned out it was her. She tried to push me on another stylist because she double booked although my appointment had been set for 7 weeks. I ended up having my appointment with her and had her try to upsell treatments and products that were not necessary. I did not set a follow up appointment after this. Two weeks later I got two phone calls from her. One asked me to come in for more services (which were unnecessary because why would I want a haircut two weeks after having one?) I declined. The next call was to say I had an appointment with her that day. I did not, and as a result have blocked the Ulta from my call list. I haven't seen this level of unprofessionalism in a salon before and for the same price will now be going to a real salon. read more

I love visiting makeup stores. They're so fun and I could spend a long time (and sometimes a lot of money) in them. The people who work at this location are ready to help you find what you need and if you're clueless, they're perceptive in figuring out what you need. All of the staff members are friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic, which counts for a lot. I can't recall how many times I've visited a beauty/cosmetic store where the employees made me feel self-conscious or ridiculous for not knowing what I was doing. That was absolutely not the case here. The staff can make recommendations for you and will listen carefully to what you say so that they can better serve you. THAT is what makes for a well-run store. I got my brows waxed here and it was completely worth it. The certified cosmetologists at the Benefit brow bar are very nice and they do a great job. My brows were done by Melissa, but I would also recommend whoever is there at any given time because they are all experts. They know what they're doing and they know how to make your face look its best! Highly recommended. :) read more

I had my eyebrows waxed at the Brow Bar with Irene (@ their Fountains location in El Paso) and she did a great job. She was attentive to my requests and provided good customer service. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because I had to wait for her to get started at 6:05 even though my appointment was booked for 5:40. I do understand this is not her fault but the store management's since they have only 1 person tending the Brow Bar, but if you don't mind the wait you won't be disappointed. read more

The store is a descent size with pretty good selection. But there were only 2 people working. One lady was at a register and a guy was running all over. So there was no one to even ask if they carry boar bristle brushes. I would have loved to buy one here but I don't think they even carry one and there was no one to ask. The ones they had, labeled 100% boar bristle, were actually a nylon mix. Luckily I could tell for myself instead of buying the wrong thing. They need more help in that store, it was fairly busy on a Thursday night before a holiday weekend. read more

The manager, (guy) is awful and has a horrible attitude. I waited in line to pay for a dermablend foundation( which I had waited to be back in stock for about 6 weeks). So I waited about 15 minutes in line and when it was finally my turn to pay, the cashier, ( a girl) was very kind but when she scanned the foundation, the system would not recognize the barcode and finally we found out that it was a tester. Perfectly packaged and still sealed. Since the system was not charging me for it, then came "the manager" A rude guy with a nasty attitude, I was so sad because I have been a customer of Ulta for years, I couldn't believe how he treated me, and also the ladies with black vests that work there treated me as if I was to shoplift or something, I could see them talking on their radios telling each other to keep an eye on me???? Wtf I spend a lotttt of money at this store!!! Two managers had the nerve to stand right next to me and start discussing shoplifting percentages and surveillance plans omg so unprofessional! Also, they were racist!!!! They will treat white customers like royalty, there was a middle eastern (with attire) Customer and they were talking shit about her too, they treated me so bad made me feel so bad. Went in for a haircut and treatment and the stylist barely washed my hair and left my hair wet stuck me under a dryer and the rinsed the treatment out without ever touching my hair. Really rude staff. They usually are hiding and running away from customers. I asked a blonde lady if she had a moment because I had a question on a product... she looked at me blankly for a minute. Confused... I asked if she even worked there, it took her another minute to respond I guess she was on her ear piece listening to something. She answered my question and then ran off. Really Ulta. Why is most of the staff so awful with customers? Cosmetic stores always get a bad rep for a reason! Maybe better training and basic people skills and manners. I went to Ulta needing some guidance on foundation and contouring. Irene, a brow expert, was super friendly and helpful. She showed me how to apply different products to achieve the look I'm going for, and was just a genuinely nice person to talk to. The only reason I'm not giving this store 5 stars is because there were a bunch of employees just standing around and no one greeted me when I walked in or asked if I needed assistance. There was also a long line at the checkout counter because only one employee was at the register, when there was a whole group of staff chatting with each other on the other side of the store. The eyebrow bar did a good job with my eyebrows. My rating of four star is my overall experience. The store could use some improvements on the service promptness. Even an experience with an employee who had a worst day at work at my favorite grocery store in El Paso could easily beat the customer promptness. I walked in with an expectation of a great service since it's a beauty store. The only warm smile I received was from a customer browsing the aisle.
