This store rarely has what I am shopping for in stock. Management should do a better job of inventory planning. It's very frustrating. I end up driving out of the way to other locations or ordering online having to wait for delivery. My hair was burned off. Chemical cut and burn. Over-processed hair. Damaged hair. Victoria Carroll burned off my hair due to over processing. My goal was a solid copper and I walked out with a muddy light brown. At the time of my appointment, she assured that the desired copper would be achieved. During my appointment, she actually attended another employee for a haircut while my hair was "processing". As a result, my hair got burned off. Not once did she mention, I lost patches of hair. I was convinced my whole head looked like the top half. It wasn't until I got home and hit the sheets that the bottom half of my head was burning and I touched it and noticed my hair was missing. This "stylist" is uneducated, careless, and unprofessional. Her resolution was to slap an orange color on top of the over processed hair... to be stuck with different shades of copper from the bottom to the top of my head. Madison is a delight! I knew right from the moment we met that we would hit it off. She is very personable, skilled and professional. She gave me an excellent silk press. My hair has so much movement. I am really pleased with the cost of the service and that so pleasant to work with. I was offered water and coffee and made to feel very welcome in the salon. I was in Ulta today and left feeling positively spoiled. I had forgotten a couple of things that I'd meant to buy the last time I was there, and I was assisted by Diamond. They were super helpful, had an amazing grasp of all the different types of products I was looking for, and were sweet and friendly to boot. I went into ultra today and I met Sandi. Her hair was similar to mine, except her hair was much nicer. I asked her if she could do mine like hers and she said that she just had a cancelation. This worked out great for me. When Sandi finished doing my hair it was exactly what I wanted. I told her.. she will be my new hair stylist now. :) Another plus was Sandi let me in on a secret of how to keep my hair from getting that ugly yellow tone. Thanks!! Woman with the short blonde hair and glasses at the brow bar was INCREDIBLY RUDE, AGGRESSIVE, and CONFRONTATIONAL. My mother and sister frequent Ulta but will no longer be shopping at this location due to this stunning lack of customer service. Not only did this woman clearly not understand how to treat clients, but she continued on after the altercation to complain to other customers in the store about "our behavior." We were berated after my sister threw an alcohol wipe into a trash can next to her. She informed us that we had now dirtied up her "sanitary station" for brow waxing. What a joke. read more

Decided to just pop in here for a brow wax since it was close. The girl, whom I have heard was fantastic, Told me I had a terrible shape and that she wanted to start all over and do something totally different. I stopped her and said "no way" I have been working on my eyebrow shape for a long time. I just need a clean up wax. She then spends about 30 minutes waxing and using an eyebrow pencil/stencil on my face to prove to me that she could do a better job on my face than I could. Literally sat up, looked in the mirror, and had two rectangles for eyebrows. I wasn't sure if I was on a game show, or if she was serious. She was serious. Quickly darted over to the makeup remover section bought some and got out of there. Thankfully, she did wax only what I asked her to. The store itself is well set up, other staff seem mostly accommodating. I will never again let them do my eyebrow wax. read more

I don't shop for makeup super often, because I don't wear it daily, but I love that I can come in here and get NYX. The quality is pretty awesome, but it doesn't break the bank. Really disappointed in this Ulta location. I stopped in today to get some shampoo, and soon, I was greeted by a male employee who asked what he could help me find today. As I walked closer to him, he grimaced and said "Oh please let me do your eyebrows for you. Like right now, girl." At 38 weeks pregnant, I already do not feel like the most attractive thing in the room, but to insult my eyebrows to try to get business? You need to work on your tactics, sir. I told him no, not today, i just need to grab some shampoo. He then points to a general corner of the store and walks away. I have never had such a rude experience here before. I started there December of 2017 as a seasonal hire. Worked my fanny off around Christmas to get hired on as a part time beauty advisor. After getting hired on, I moved up to Lead Cashier within a few months. I excelled at this position and decided to move to prestige beauty advisor to further my career path into prestige manager. I was a pba for about 6-9 months and succeeded in becoming the merchandise service coordinator which is considered the shipment receiving manager. I did this job for roughly 8 months or so, until I finally pursued my career as a prestige sales manager. I've worked this hard to get here, putting this job first over my 6 year old daughter for almost 3 years. Having an open schedule the whole time knowing that eventually I would have to figure out a schedule that would be a perfect "work/life" balance. This meant I no longer could ask my sick elderly grandparents to watch her anymore. I always knew this would never be a problem to work with my schedule because of all the past previous leaders who have been always able to make the business work with all the managers schedules being different. Our district hired a new district manager and he hired a new Gm for us (since we were lacking one due to our previous GM becoming a stay at home mom for her newborn) This new gm whose never worked for ulta or even retail, gave me the ok every time I told her in May my child would be getting out of school and I would be moving closer to work (at that point I was living with my grandparents an hour away just for this job). My new Gm gave me this ok for 9 months, me reminding her every two months that my schedule was going to alter just as a reminder. Nothing was ever said. After all, the managers in the past have always worked with everyone, that was the whole "work/life balance" thing they explain is a thing here at ulta. Cut to the week before my child gets out of school, I'm talking with my GM, she's encouraging me and giving me advice on which places to go vs other places for care. So the day comes, they open the portal for where I'm enrolling my kid, there's an option for me to select days I can put her in camp. We're talking about a $70 difference weekly in which days I put her in, so I ask her to sit down with me and plan out the summer for my child to be put into camp while I work. My GM then says "oh this was suppose to be a conversation we were suppose to have, I can't tell you anything or help you. You have to have open availability and I can't attempt nor plan anything with you". I said "how am I suppose to work if I don't know what to do with my child and all this COVID stuff going on?" She said "I know it's tough, trust me I understand" but in fact she DOES NOT understand. In fact, my new GM is never there after 5 or 6 and doesn't work weekends because she picked up a bar tending job at her local clubhouse so it'll take care of the porches she remodels for people as her third job. Her telling me she can't even attempt to sit down with me made me very upset to the point where I almost walked out. I reached out to my DM and he told me we would be able to work with it for now but when my child starts back school in the fall we would have to re-evaluate. So now I'm scared for my future and being able to support and feed my child all because my GM wants to have 3 jobs and make us be on call 24/7. She is a terrible boss and works less hours than me and I work 38 weekly. She comes in after me and leaves before me everyday. I tried reaching out to HR to voice my concerns and see if there's any type of stability ANY where in the schedule. I'm not even asking for the weekend off. I'm just asking for ONE set day or a set ALTERNATING day off that I know I can schedule appts for and know I will have my child that day. Unfortunately HR told me that if I was unable to work due to COVID and not being able to find adequate childcare that I could go find another job. That was their answer. I'm absolutely appalled that I've wasted almost 3 years of my life for this company putting it first over my child, not seeing her 4 out of 7 days of the week every week for almost 3 years. This is how I get treated? For doing everything right, leading the way for others, watching so many of my employees leave due to our new manager, and this is how they repay their hardworking employees? It's absolutely ridiculous. I hate working for ulta. What use to be a fun loving environment has turned into your typical corporation who doesn't give two crps about you and can easily replace you at any given moment. I've seen it happen so much since my GM started. She does not care. She's threatened and cornered my employees to not contact HR on her, which I've also told HR about and they said I had no proof. No matter how much all of our employees complain about her to the DM, he does nothing. He doesn't even reach out after employees have been complaining for months. Trust me don't work here. read more

This is not a good store. The staff is unapproachable and not very knowledgeable. Also, they will not give you samples (unlike Sephora who will give you a sample of everything in the store if you ask.) You have to hunt down associates for assistance. If you find one, it's unlikely they'll know anything about the products. I only went to Ulta because I had a gift card for my birthday, as I'm a loyal Sephora shopper (for a good reason, I've learned.) After seemingly hassling an employee for foundation assistance, she knew NOTHING at all about 2 of the foundations I enquired about- she only offered advice on Estée Lauder Doublewear (which was the opposite of what I wanted & what I was returning.) She then just kinda walked away after telling me she didn't know anything about Philosophy or Too Faced foundations. Unbelievable! Never again!!! read more

I have to be really upset to write a review because I have other things to do but to complain about things on yelp. With that said I was at this location today and wondered around the store obviously looking for something I couldn't find. No one even asked me if I needed any help (well the two ladies that were working there) one was putting make up on some girl and the other was trying on different products herself! Anyways when I couldn't find make up brush cleaner I decided to ask at check out. The older lady there very rudely said "we have some over there" and pointed in the distance. She acted like I asked her to run a marathon or something. She finally walked me over to what I was looking for (well she was going to show me the more expensive kind. I really wanted some wipes but she again very rudely said they didn't have any. I don't know what is it with people that work there that they act like their life is a miserable existence. Fourth time in a row- The product not on shelves but when the sales associate went to find the product (mascara) the box was crushed. I opened the mascara to check and see if it was new and discovered the lid was not in the locked position and the wand was obviously used showing signs of clumps. It bothers me that this establishment would sell this to unsuspecting customers, allowing them to put this ON THEIR EYES. I give up on Ulta Beauty. Marched myself straight to the mall where I was able to purchase a new, unused, unopened and sanitary product. Not on my face Ulta, no way. read more

I shop at Ulta 3-4 times a month. I love the benefit brow service and wide array of makeup and hair products. That said, I'm not sure I'd have my hair cut and colored there again. I spent $220.00 (that's after a 20% discount) for a cut and color that was just passable. I was offered a do-over by the stylist but I just don't have hours to spend in a salon. Some nice samples were given to me and I tipped the stylist well for their effort. I will always shop there because it's conveniently located and I don't have to walk through the mall for product. read more

I'm usually not one to login to Yelp to write a review, but my experience today was both unprofessional and rude. Checked out with my mom with a $40 purchase, asked for samples (I love trying samples, and Sephora will give you as many as your heart desires). They told me no, they don't have samples nor do they make them. I said I know you guys don't make them like Sephora, but you don't have any little perfume or lotion samples? The first worker looked at me and said "I don't know anything about samples I work at the brow bar" ummm ok lol?! Not a good response for a customer. Second girl was the manager wearing a Marvel lanyard, and she said no we only give qualifying gifts with purchases, no samples ever. I was so shocked because 1. I knew she was lying and 2. She was so rude, acting like I was asking for free money. Ulta most definitely carries samples, how would they sell products if they didn't? Won't be returning, will continue to shop at Sephora where the people are kinder, more educated, and will give me as many free beauty samples as my damn heart desires.
