I have been using Tara as she does a really good job on short haircuts and is usually very business like and enjoyable however, weeks ago I canceled an appointment via voicemail not realizing that I needed to keep a record so her policy is you pay $20 when you book the appointment and that goes towards your total cost of whatever you're having done so I realized I would be out $20. I was OK with that. If you do not cancel you're out the 20 and whatever the cost of your hair appointment was gonna be I didn't think I needed to worry about that because I had done my due diligence yesterday. I noticed there was a 50 some odd charge on my debit card so I thought well that's weird. I'm sure it was a mistake so I called left her a voice message and she pretty much didn't wanna talk to me or refuse to talk to me and continue to use text message. I find it very odd that a professional would only use text message to conduct business. It's very hard to communicate that way and have a conversation so I explained the situation to her and she pretty much said that's not what happened but had no proof that that's not what happened and wouldn't fix my situation so I had to take alternate routes. I hate this because I really like this Salon and I hate that she lost a customer and I hate that I no longer have a relationship with her but fair warning one can appear one way and then do a total switch when it comes to certain situations and that in itself is bad business it's bad for the consumer. it's bad for the Salon she's representing. It is just simply bad so I have moved on as there are plenty of good hairstylist in this world that are good business women and do a good job all the way around so that I don't have a problem, but I'm just wanting to warn the general public that if you do have a problem with her, it's not gonna end good with you even if you are in fact, right also beware of waiting times I have waited on her time and time again and never complained always tipped and just figured that's just business. I showed the barber a picture of the hairstyle I wanted, and he came straight out and said "Oh, that's almost no different from what you have now. It's more a difference in the part," to which I said, "Okay, that's what I was thinking. I'd just like it layered a bit and thinned up a little so that it will lay better in that style." He then proceeded to sheer off two-to-four inches from every side of my hair with a razor, even tapering it around the ears and on the back, making the hairstyle I'd asked for completely impossible for probably another three months until my hair finally grows back. I came in with a haircut close to what I wanted, he clearly comprehended this and the simple instructions that I gave him, and then decided for whatever reason to do something completely different once I sat down in the barber's chair, and I now look like a 1920's baseball player.
