I had gone to another salon a few times for a root touch up, it took a few visits before I realized they were using a level 1 black on my level 4 brown hair, and it was starting to look like I was wearing a wig. With my wedding just a few weeks away I was convinced I was doomed. Nope. Not even close. Marie managed not only to lighten everything back up but did the most amazing highlighting/melting (I don't know the proper terms for it) and I had the most amazing hair in my life and no damage or fried pieces. (picture posted) Sara, makeup guru, she should be in Hollywood somewhere with her skills. I don't wear makeup on normal basis, I have had it done by many many different people and brands throughout my life. I have never had someone be able to do it in such a way that I still felt like myself but an absolutely flawless version that didn't smear, run, or wipe off on things or feel thick and heavy. It also lasted perfectly for more than 15 hours. My mother who hates makeup was so impressed and loved it so much she has had her makeup done twice now! (picture posted) I also tried her eyelash extensions which are absolutely fabulous. Taisha, she does it all as well, but she was key when I couldn't really decide on what I wanted to do with my hair for the wedding. With a couple questions and a few photos of completely different styles I liked, she managed to magically put together the perfect combination of everything I liked into one beautiful perfect hair style. I am in my late 50's and never saw anyone my age there, always young girls, I assume that is who they cater to. They are not open Saturdays and for full-time working people it was very hard and I had to wait so long for an appointment. They all had little kids and didnt want to be there but they dont care about us working people. I dealt with all that but what bothered me the most and made me finally look for another salon was the insane prices. When you need color and cut, it was outrageous and then it was hard to leave my normal tip. What are they thinking!!! I had no soak and no lotion massage, no shaping........I did have a junior stylist that had no idea what she was doing. She cut my nails as short as possible, after the first one, I had to let her finish so they would all be the same length. After she cut them, she asked if I wanted them short. They use Zoya nail polish that has tiny brushes, she was dripping the nail polish on and spreading it out. I told her it was too thick and she said she was trying to get rid of the streaks, I asked to take it off a do just clear. She dripped that on as well. My nails are not even, they actually have corners. I am so disappointed. I came home, removed the goop, shaped and polished my own nails.
